San Francisco hotels near Market Street

Cons: The valet location is different than the street address causing much time wasted trying to find where to enter.

Pros: The staff were super friendly, check in and out was quick, good location, the bed was amazing and the room very clean with the bathroom a good size.

Cons: We had to take 2 lifts to our room, it was overpriced.

Pros: Very good restaurant and bar. Excellent gym facilities. Comfortable room.

Cons: I wish I could have asked for different pillows. Sleep would have been so much better.

Cons: This hotel can be good if you come on converence. Not for enjoyng the city. The bar and restaurant are overcrowded. Maybe we just did not get lucky with timing and hotel was overbooked... But this affected our stay drasticaly! Breakfast was very bad. There was no place to seat.... They asked us did we book our breakfast? Really??? Book a table for breakfast???? Maybe its american style to arrange things like this..... not a Europe whay..... And when they finally found a place for us it took 30 minutes them to bring us our food.... And on top of all at the morning we cheked out and asked the taxi to airport the taxi drived made a veery long detour and took twice price from us. And it was taxi driver who the HOTEL arranged for us... Shame on them! But our first time stay in San Francisco was ruined....

Pros: Received texts tracking my arrival time and greeted by name at Registration. Housekeeping and room service addressed me by name. Breakfast in the restaurant excellent and fast. Security excellent with keys needed to run elevators, human security at all doors, etc.

Pros: Everything was great from staff, hotel room, room service and the location

Pros: Really friendly staff, good in-room dining and perfect location! This is not the first Four Seasons I visited, but definitely one the most satisfying ones.

Cons: There could be some in-room welcoming treats. Otherwise the service is really good, well worth the price.

Pros: I love the location and being right at Union Square. Lots of food, drink and shopping literally on your door step. The hotel staff, particularly the door staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Cons: Rooms are quite small, and the hotel is a little old. Air-conditioner could definitely use some improvement.

Pros: The staff was phenomenal. The room very clean and comfortable. Doormen were very helpful and knowledgeable.

Cons: My husband ordered corned beef hash for breakfast via room service....the hash was sitting in oil and the corned beef was very hard to chew. Not our experience previously.

Pros: 5-star hotel all the way. Soundproof windows, excellent service, central location, and a bespoke feel.

Pros: My room at this venerable hotel, located in the heart of Union Square, was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was especially spacious and luxurious, with a large shower and separate spa tub. (The room itself felt much more cramped than the bathroom.) There was a good coffee machine and free bottles of water, and ample room for clothes in a dresser and closet in the hallway between the bathroom and room, plus a chair and desk. I requested a quiet room and got one that was very quiet. All great! The location, in the heart of Union Square, would not be my top choice, but on my particular dates, it was very hard to find available rooms and the prices for everything were very high.

Cons: The hotel itself, and the rooms, are all clean and in good repair, but do feel due for a refresh. The location is good if you want to be near public transportation (BART, Market Street trams, many buses) or major attractions, including SFMoMA, but it's a bit boring. If you are looking for a good fitness center, this is not the right hotel for you. The fitness center was quite small, with only two treadmills, one of which (the one on the right) had a problem with the touch screen that made it very difficult to adjust walking/running speed. But most of all, the room is open to the elements, enclosed only by a tarp that a) makes it impossible to see the view beyond it (the clear plastic is clouded over with dirt) b) on the days I was there, when it was in the high 70s outside in the morning, made the room into a greenhouse that was very hot and humid. I'd say it was about 85 degrees F in there -- not ideal for working out, and should be avoidable if one is indoors in an otherwise climate-controlled building. This is not a huge deal if you don't care about exercising on your vacation, but if you do, I'd go elsewhere, even if it's less charming than the Taj Campton.

Pros: They have a nice service,until10 in the morning there is a free coffee and muffin service-Good coffee good muffins! What surprised us :They have a TWO STAR Michelin restaurant with two menus-of course expensive but not unreasonable-however nothing a la carte.But NEXT to it there is the BISTRO-should be the same kitchen-very limited menu but VERY AVERAGE food. This I cannot understand ,would the TWO star unit also be Average????

Cons: No bells and whistles. This was much more like your standard, mid-grade Marriott than a 4-star experience. No fluffy robes, slippers, turn-down service, etc.

Pros: Classy upscale hotel with all the best amenities including robes, slippers, amazing soaps etc. Within walking distance to the ballpark and Mascone Center. Checkout is at noon or complimentary late checkout is 1pm. Gym 24 hrs and the staff is top notch.

Cons: I really dislike the added cost for parking and wish it was included in the price of the hotel, but I understand it is S.F. so I doubt anything will change.

Cons: The ly charged my cart aprox. 1700 USD with no reason. Overnight, at 3 am by „their system”. Nibody from the staff knew why. „System did it” . They promised at the receptiin to give my money back. Now, it has been over a week and I didn’t get a penny back! Guys be very careful and don’t give your credit card to this hotel!

Pros: This is a well-run hotel with a competent staff. A convenient location for walking to a Giants game, Union Square, theaters, restaurants, etc.

Cons: I enjoyed the lap pool, but wish it were a little bigger and open to the outside deck.

Cons: The A.C was not cold when we called front office they sent up engineer who cleaned the filter but didn't fix the problem. We woke up the next day in sweat. We had to open the front door to let the cool air from the hall way come in. Bad stay experienced

Pros: Pretty space. Great view from room. Soft bed and pillows, plenty of space in the room. Room service. Pleasant staff. Handheld option in shower. Fast elevator.

Cons: Shower water pressure suboptimal, still heat street noises 20 floors up. Super expensive, bed actually TOO soft for optimal sleep, parking was confusing (taxis and other transport blocked entrance and nobody giving directions to avoid backup and blockage).

Pros: Great location, had a 24hr diner short walk away and the cheesecake factory close by :) Room was spacious and clean with good city views. The bed was great to sleep on. Easy to navigate area from the hotel, short drive to all places.

Cons: Pillows were way too soft, neck started hurting after second night. The shower was over the bath tub which was fine, but the drain kept filling up with water so not sure if their pipes were clogging up

Cons: Noisy rooms, dirty sheets (that we had to change ourselves because the room services doesn’t work in the evening), basic bathroom amenities, staff weren’t very helpful by matching our requests. We have asked for a quiet room on a high floor and ended on the 7th floor (out of 36 floors) with paper thin doors and noisy neighbours. Not what we expected for a honeymoon trip. We are very disappointed with this hotel.

Cons: I had breakfast buffet and I’ve waited over 25 minutes for my egg white omelet to be served. Hotel seated me with a stranger which was little uncomfortable, but for the time consumption I agreed to it. My omelet came and it was not an egg white only plus omelet was not done properly. No need to mentioned I went to my meeting with no breakfast, and I didn’t pay!! The most of Staff at the site was not friendly except for the Starbuck coffee shop in the back of the lobby.

Cons: Poor service: 1) staff cannot find my booking and even implied I booked the wrong hotel. Turned out they wrongly recorded my surname (1st experience since using booking.com for 5+ years) and cannot find it even though they had my passport. 2) I tried to call in-room dining but there’s no one answering in 30mins, one have to find UBEReat if you want some food! Others: there’s no mention on parking fee in the page, seriously lacking info on this before I arrived

Pros: Brilliant location, great staff, lovely room. Water refills on each floor, comfy beds and right in the middle of the city.

Cons: The doors between rooms are acoustically transparent. The walls are also thin between rooms. I had to call security twice because of noisy neighbors. This seems to be such a recurring problem that the hotel provides earplugs next to the bed.

Pros: The hotel was super clean,like tremendously clean! Ideal location which was super walkable to everything! Didn’t even realize that they have bikes you can use. If I wasn’t pregnant we would hve definetly used them. Everything in the city was a quick walk or uber ride. Restaurant on the 5th floor was surprisingly great. Super great stay here. Almost didn’t want to write this review because I don’t want this hotel to get super busy and raise prices!

Pros: The room was very nice. Great size and quiet. Very comfortable bed. After a very long travel day, the room was the perfect place to get some rest.

Cons: The arrival process is the only area that could be improved. There was only 1 person working as a valet which made us wonder if there was anyone parking cars. After waiting for some time without seeing anyone, we had to ask at the front desk. The car was finally moved from the very busy street after our checkin was complete.

Pros: The beds were extra comfy and too.s very quiet considering the central city location.
