10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The staff is outstanding and so accommodating. Two of us were competing in Ironman South Africa. The location was perfect--the hotel is on the run course. Hosts Alan and Josephine bent over backwards to help us prepare for the big day including making us a private and DELICIOUS dinner that met our pre-race diet restrictions. When we finally crawled back to the hotel after the race, a beautiful cake congratulating all the athletes awaited. We sent out our smelly post-race gear for laundry service and it came back fresh and folded. The pool and back patio are lovely and peaceful, and a pleasant spot for a nap. We really enjoyed our stay and would return! Thank you for a wonderful stay Alan, Josephine, Dinette, Geraldine and staff! PS best restaurants are on Stanley Street!

Cons: We booked quite late, as we had a change of plans quite late in the day. The staff was a bit annoyed with us showing up only 15 minutes before the front desk closed. However, the reason for us arriving so late was beyond our control due to delayed flights etc. Not the best start in terms of service and attitude, but once we arrived at the property things improved drastically.

3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The staff, although friendly were not efficient. Our bar fridge was not restocked everyday. we had to ask for coffee and milk. We paid for break fast, but it was terrible, so much so that we never had breakfast again. The waitress would take our order and come back with the wrong item, it was very disappointing and I'm sorry that we had booked in for 3 days. The shower door was hanging off the hinges and the soap shelf was hanging at a 45 degree angle. The pictures on booking.com are very deceptive

The hotel has 10 very spacious rooms with large bathrooms. Close to restaurants and beachfront activities while just 10 minutes from the airport and business districts.
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: The staff was friendly & the food was fine although dinner took a while to prepare.
Cons: The main door to two interconnecting rooms did not lock, the decor is old & basic. The hotel looks nothing like the pictures online and does not deserve a five star rating or prices. It is more a 3 star. Meals & drinks are overpriced with a limited selection.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: The service is on point the stuff amazing and accommodation the place is super clean it's surrounded by love
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff Big room Cake at tea time
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed; large, spacious bed; separate toilet cubicle with a door! Very tasty omelette filling. Very warm, friendly welcome.
Cons: The parking was too cramped for our Amarok: with the front of the vehicle touching the wall and the sides of the entrance too narrow to enter without retracting the side mirrors the sliding door had to be pushed over the tow hitch from the outside of the garage in order to close!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful boutique hotel, a minute away from the spectacular beaches of Port Elizabeth. Charming atmosphere from the minute you enter the front door, friendly staff, and tea and coffee with treats every afternoon in the lounge area. Our bedroom was huge, with a king bed and a seating area which was wonderful. This was a true home from home experience.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed, special service, gorgeous suite. Always excellent!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed
6,7 Good
Pros: The rooms are very big and spacious and of cause the staff are lovely. They really make you feel welcomed. I liked the fact that they made an effort to get me my almond milk which was great. The hotel internally is beautiful and peaceful. I really did enjoy my stay. I must really say that the staff is well trained, keep it up.
Cons: The fact that it's surrounded by old block of flats all around. It's a beautiful place just positioned wrong. When you outside you feel lost, out of place. I actually drove around the property when I arrived with disbelief. The pictures from booking.com are of the inside. Outside looks like you are in a dangerous area.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast; super comfortable large room; well tended outside space; cheery staff.
Cons: Port Elizabeth maybe not the greatest place....Windermere located on an urban street a few hundred yards from the waterfront prom...
6,3 Good
Pros: Layout of rooms
Cons: No mattress covers used under sheets . Previous guests cigarette stubs left in an ashtray on outside table . Sour milk in fridge . Sticky Unwiped tables at Breakfast . Stained ottomans in bedroom which could have been cleaned . The standards of this place continue to deteriorate. I have stayed here a few times because it is quiet and more personal than a normal hotel . Not sure I will go back

10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was raining the whole time so we were indoors most of the time and we did not walk. Unit is well maintained and the area is quiet. Quality furniture, well equipped and everything was working, a big bonus nowadays
Cons: The unit was advertised @ R1195/d but we were charged R1395/d. by you. Please refund R600. Thunzi Lodge claims that the amount charged came from your side
5,8 Okay
Pros: For the price you pay, a breakfast should have been included. The balcony view was just bush, would have been nice to have this cleared to get a proper view.
Cons: The pillows were extremely uncomfortable and the duvet inner was very thin. Lighting in the room could have been brighter. My husband hit his leg on the shower door, which was sharp enough to cut his knee open!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our visit although I think I had a different view of what it would be like based on the photos I had seen. I expected it to be much more wild and for it to be smaller with just a couple of lodges hidden amongst the trees. It was still very enjoyable and the kids loved the pool. The sand dunes 5 minutes down the road by the beach were stunning.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The views and bush walk was amazing. We loved how peaceful everything was. We booked a picnic spot which was secluded and cosy.
Cons: The bed and pillows were not comfortable.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The privacy of our cabin was wonderful. Staff was very considerate and waited until we left the unit before they cleaned. Only problem was that our unit had 3 ceiling fans of which only one worked, we did report it but it was not fix. Luckily there was an ac in the unit. The walk was beautiful as were the pool area en the dams. Units are very private which just adds to the wonderful ambiance of Thunzi We had a stunning view from both living area and our room. The braai area was also very nice. Thank you Thunzi for a great stay
Cons: A bit more info on arrival with regards to what the lodge could provide. A bit more knowledge of birds and trees in the area would have been nice. And if you really want to add something, a bit of help with off loading would have been nice.

Pros: Lovely house, friendly reception, comfortable bed, spacious room and big bathroom with bath and shower. Cons: We were happy with everything so no problem there.
