Pros: The waiters were always very late in serving the beverages you have ordered. There was even a morning Where my tea and toasts that I have ordered were ready but set aside on a counter. I had to get it myself cause it did not seems want to be served to me...??? When I cut myself in my finger, they were very good in feeling the pain but never did I receive a plaster..!!!! Had to go to the pharmacy for the right need with my finger rolled up in toilet paper .... I was lying at the pool with a beverage and fell a sleep... so a waiter decided to take my beverage away. Having me waking up thirsty my beverage was gone... Asking for it, the we’re looking at me as if I came from a different planet. Until they came with a receipt, I had the chance to prove him that I had a beverage that was taken away! And they just don’t seem to care...!

Pros: The food in general is excellent and beautifully presented. Compliments to the chef! The friendliness of the staff makes everything just that much more enjoyable and special, well done on your training programme to teach them that guests want to feel like princes and princesses. I missed a full bouquet of DSTV in our room, it was boring sport sport sport and I think Makaranga can go the extra mile with a full house bouquet. The gardens are beautiful as ever!

Pros: The owners and host Tosca and Gary are very hands-on , make you feel at home.
Cons: Room 8 Wi-Fi network was down, otherwise there is nothing to dislike about the place.
5,5 Okay
Pros: Location for what we needed to do was excellent
Cons: We arrived early and my husband needed the bathroom so the an employee allowed us entry and phoned the owner who returned to the lodge and pretty much confronted us for being early no one was to be booked in early and this kind of soured the whole trip for us. Also when queried about message we received re parking she was pretty argumentative- did not listen to what we were asking at all. Also advertising full dstv bouquet which we could not use as we were to go and request them to change channels and only up until 7 in the evening - rather don't advertise that you have full bouquet. Also price very high for what was on offer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent and well presented Location was within 10minutes of our function
Cons: Struggled a wee bit entering at the gate- not enough space to turn into parking when using a Large Van
5,8 Okay
Pros: Gary was Amazing. Very warm and caring individual. Our stay was only favorable due to the hospitality received from Gary. He has a good heart with a very friendly approach to people. The place was beautiful, which is expected from most B&B's and Guesthouses etc. But when thinking of the whole experience it was just Gary that we can give accolades to for making our stay enjoyable. The main house is beautiful and fortunately there are only two rooms that are under the roof parking. The breakfast is standard, not buffet, however Gary cooked up a delicious meal and his hospitality was amazing as always. Gary saw us out on departure and was Amazing throughout.
Cons: The location is in a very small street. On arrival we pressed the intercom to enter the premises however the neighbor across the road needed to enter her property. As a result we were forced to move our car so she can get into the property. On returning back to the intercom we were met with an very abrupt lady (will not disclose her name even though known); who was clearly upset with us for not being at the intercom when she came on. This is what set off a distasteful taste in the start of our trip, so as we all know if things start off distasteful its going to end that way. We were then met with a disgruntled lady who appeared still upset that she had to walk to the gate to meet us. We remained pleasant however already feeling discomfort. She then took us to our room which is a beautiful room. Very spacious and private, however there was a smell of damp in the air. The room is situated under a roof parking so that could have been the reason, however on my stating there is a damp smell in the room, this made the lady get even more riled up. She offered to take us to another room however she was already at this point trying to be helpful however in a very unfriendly disgruntled manner. She had already deducted the full amount for the accommodation, even though booking.com, stated we would only be charged when we get to the location, so we were forced to take it. We were offered a better room but by this time were so uncomfortable at being there due to the reaction from her. The second room that was offered was warmer with no damp smell as it was in the main house. We got ourselves ready and left the premises. She did not offer us the WIFI password like other B&B's and guesthouses etc offer. We had to ask Gary for it in the morning before we left. We were basically greeted with a smile by Gary but not from the Lady throughout our stay!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Tosca and Gary are wonderful hosts. They are both interesting to talk with and helpful ! They helped us planning our journey, gave us good adresses in Durban and helped to fix a problem with our car, all in one day ! 4,5 Okay
Pros: The area where its situated.
Cons: A lot! 1. When we got there, the bath room was dirty. Filthy, that was a big turn off. 2. We waited like 15 to 20 minutes for our toast after receiving our breakfast. 3. Second day we went out, came back at 14:00, when we got there the room was still being 'cleaned', at 14:00!!! 4.Second day we didn't have bath soap, shampoo ect. 5. On Saturday afternoon we are just frustrated about the place and we decide we want to go out. It was around 19:30 we waited almost 20 minutes by the gate waiting for someone to open for us, we knocked at the door, asked the uber driver to ring the bell, unfortunately it looked like it was not working, according to uber driver. We requested that he hoots, but he told us its not allowed. We screamed our lungs out hoping would here us, but nothing. We have to cancel the uber which charged us R33. 6. We were not asked about our breakfast preference on Saturday for Sunday so we assumed we didn't deserve it in Sunday.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Personally i feel, What's not to like? Will be a better question. The food is great, the staff is very helpful and friendly, the hotel was taken proper care of and provided serenity and tranquility, as well as providing a very unique environment and experience that's memorable and enjoyable. Overall my experience at the hotel was perfect and wouldn't change a thing. Keep up the spectacular work...
Cons: The only problem i had, but then again it wasn't a fault or a problem on the hotel's side, was that buffet and dinner could be added to a tab which can be paid upon checking out, this service however requires a credit card for validation and payment and a normal debt card cannot be used. I suspect that the hotel does have their valid reasons for this, as this provides some surety, where a debit card can lack at providing the necessary security for services taken in advance.

Pros: The place was peacefull
Cons: Nothing
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The property and grounds are immaculate; the staff were professional and friendly. Zanile went beyond the call of duty to make us comfortable on our arrival. Thank you.
Cons: 1.Not being told in advance about a children's birthday party booked on a Sunday afternoon that included the use of a microphone for the children's entertainment. The party continued from 2 pm until 6.30 pm and children screamed around the grounds with loud music playing, that affected us indoors and outdoors. I had booked this property based on it being boutique because I had a busy weekend of events and knew I wanted to rest and relax on the Sunday. I would not have booked here had I known about a Sunday afternoon event outside my room. 2. No marmalade or pork sausages for breakfast on two out of the three mornings. Not told about that at time of menu. In a boutique hotel I expect to get what is on the menu.

7,5 Good
Pros: Mauritian/French "Maitre d' a real asset
Cons: The pool should be heated by solar panels which would make a real difference in temperature!
4,5 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable. The room was beautifully decorated.
Cons: Service is appalling, room service shocking, no DSTV, torn frayed sheets, hand towels to use as bath towels. No minibar as we thought, breakfast satisfactory but extremely limited, so if you order a fruit salad that's all you get, you have to pay for your next dish. Seriously short staffed. So disappointed would have gotten better treatment in a 3 star BnB never mind a 5 star African Pride boutique hotel. Jacuzzi not cleaned after used on first night. Bathrooms not cleaned soap and shower gel not replaced once even though we finished the small tube on second day. No T.V remote, a hard boiled sweet placed on pillow for bed time, cheap and nasty.
