Guests consistently praise the hotel's excellent location, especially its proximity to Chinatown and major attractions, as well as the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Many reviewers also appreciate the good value for money, considering San Francisco's prices. However, several guests report uncomfortable beds, cleanliness issues, and outdated facilities. The location was great, close to shops, food, and public transportation. The staff was friendly enough. The rooms were small but clean. The beds were like sleeping on concrete and the traffic sounds were very loud, even with earplugs. We had a two night stay but only stayed for one night because we couldn't stay another night on that bed.

Pros (+) I liked the location but that’s about it.
Cons (-) Rooms are too small, outdated, and not clean.

Pros (+) Check in and check out were easy. The hotel was super close to a lot of things so it’s great if you want something convenient and close to things. The bathrooms seem to have been recently redone so the fixtures in there were pretty good.
Cons (-) The rooms are really small and the entire building is definitely older than the lobby makes it appear. The walls are quite thin so with my room next to the elevator I could hear a lot of people come and go at all hours, plus my neighbor was blaring music so ear plugs became a necessity.

Cons (-) Hard bed. Wi-Fi didn't work. No A/C. Small small small room. Small bathroom. Small elevator.
