The common areas , lobby , and Tonga room are INCREDIBLE! Cannot beat the surroundings. The check-in staff were so friendly and smiling and engaging. The room was very comfortable and clean. It’s a grand hotel that’s showing its age. Room A/C is too noisy to use at night. Sounds travels too easily from one room to the next. Was woken up by the next room phone ringing at 5am.

From the entrance to the room, the carpets were dirty. We had to ask for water as there was no water bottles placed in the room too.

Pros (+) Amazing hotel. Service was impeccable all around, from the valet at the front door, to the reception desk, to the bellman. The building itself was beautiful and it was incredible to stay where so much history has been made.
