Pros: Lovely fresh breakfast. Plenty of options.lady of the house couldn't do enough for us. Very willing to engage in conversation regarding best places to visit, etc.keen to pass on her knowledge.wouldnt hesitate to recommend.
Cons: Our only downside was that we didn't have enough time there. Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed Sunday evenings. If we had realised earlier in our planning, we would have chosen a different day as the restaurant is noted for its fine dining.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were recommended this hotel by a couple we met travelling and boy it didn't disappoint. The evening meal in the restaurant was second to none with paired wines. We were the only ones staying the night so had the terrace all to ourselves which was lovely. Lovely room. Nice and peaceful.

Pros: Easy access Clean Organized Great view
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was superb, overlooking the sea from a height. There was a short path down to the large sandy beach which we seemed to have to ourselves. The room was bright and comfortable and had a great view. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the owner. The breakfast was of a high quality. Even though they did not serve dinners, they had a very good summary of all the best restaurants in Wilderness which we found very useful. The town was a drive away, but some of the restaurants would pick us up for a small charge, so that was not an issue.
Cons: Nothing, we liked it all.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: We got a special winter deal which gave us a great value for money. But aside from that, Mont Fleur is a really nice place to stay in Wilderness. The owner is very nice and has a lot of interesting stories to tell. They also have a laundry service which we used and it was super fast, we had our clothes back clean and nicely folded in just a few hours. We really enjoyed our stay at the guest house and would definitely book again.

Pros: Great host! Lou is a wonderful person to be around and has great staff. The rooms were nice and comfortable. If you have the option of taking dinner, go for it, the ostrich fillet was excellent! Same for the breakfast! Location is excellent, close to the national park, for kayaking/hiking, and the seven passes road.
Cons: If I really have to nitpick, Rooms can come over as a bit outdated. But all the comfort and amenities are there, so not to worry!

Pros: Well positioned close easy walking distance to Village centre and restaurants. Very friendly host went out of his way to make our stay comfortable.

Pros: Location!!! The room was very nice, but small. Shower and tub! Nice view! The owner very kind!!
Cons: South Africa has a sever electricity problem, so there was programed cuts of power, the room has to have a candle or battery lamp! And the schedule of the cuts!!

Pros: Outstanding hospitality and quiet, peaceful setting. We loved our conversations with Lou, who is so interesting and helpful, and we appreciated having access to the common room that had comfortable seating and lots of interesting items and books. Excellent view toward the Indian Ocean. Breakfast was ideal. Neighbourhood was so green and flowery and the short walk to town for restaurants was safe and pleasant.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location. Great breakfast and friendly staff.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great hospitality, would love to have stayed longer!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Chris nd Careen are incredible hosts! Unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to speak to Careen that often. However, Chris was so welcoming, carrying and always present if needed. He even offered me to give me a lift if needed, which I really appreciated being a solo traveler. The location and the view towards the ocean is just breathtaking and stunning. Found myself spending hours and hours just sitting there and enjoying the sounds of waves. You literally sleep within the waves! The breakfast and staff was amazing as well! Couldn’t have wished for any better accommodation!
Cons: Even though the room smelled a bit odd in the beginning everything else was just perfect. I just opened all windows and let the fresh sea breeze come in! However, nothing that the view and the hospitality of Careen and Chris couldn’t have upgraded. Had a perfect time!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
7,9 Good
Pros: The location is amazing on the hill by the sandy beach if you book a sea view room, wilderness itself is a calm town which adds up to the overall location review. The stuff is friendly and helping always, I liked the bath and shower areas for the room I booked it was spacious. I tried their food also and it was good in general. Used the Sauna facility and it was neat and clean. I enjoyed seeing the dolphins passing up and down in the wild sea. Also enjoyed watching the para-gliders passing close on some days.
Cons: It was weird that the same breakfast was served everyday from the buffet and the menu (not talking about the taste), this shows a lack of creativity, travelers love to taste different foods and see varieties, this was a disappointment, however its an issue all over SA to me. Another thing is that they need to pay more attention to the indoor facilities area, on the way there you pass by the laundry also there is a storage room there, the facilities are good but such things degrade it. Please get someone outside to help people with the luggage from the car to the reception when they arrive, the booking wasn't cheap and one would expect attention to such details. The gym is basic and needs to be modernized, i don't think there is a proper mirror in there.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything especially the staff and the sea veiw
Cons: Nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The view!! The friendliness of the staff , the balcony where we could relax and enjoy a sun-downer. The breakfast was very good with very interesting choices available. We did not have dinner at the hotel, so I cannot comment on that.
Cons: Unfortunately the SPA pool had a problem, so I missed out on this. I was not informed of this on arrival...
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The view of the ocean, cleanliness of room, breakfast in the restaurant, sun deck.
Cons: Booked two messages. One of your male staff was showing the spa and talking very loudly. He broke the relaxation and serenity. Disrespect to the spa staff. The restaurant needs to add a short lunch menu as there are not places closer than Wildness village.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Spa treatment was one of the best I’ve experienced. The staff also went out of their way to make my birthday extra special.
Cons: More fresh dishes on their menu

Pros: Michael is a great and eager host and very helpful. His homemade breakfast is excellent - especially the homemade bread. The view is phenomenal and the room huge and all super clean. We had the entire house for ourselves and could really enjoy our time at the Ibitshi Guest Lodge. We really would love to come back. We had a fantastic time there.
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It deserves every penny paid for my staying Thanks
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and breakfasts were both fantastic. Glorious view from the bedroom of lovely Wilderness Beach
10,0 Excellent
Cons: It's a really nice accomodation, situated right oppsite the beach. From some of the rooms you have an overwhelming view of the ocean, from others you can see the mountains. Everything was really clean and decent in the guest lodge. We had a great breakfast with a huge variety of food and healthy smoothies and good coffee to drink. The host is most helpful and friendly. He gave us good hints in regads to dinner and activities and he could even help us when we had a problem with a flat tyre on our car. Thanks again for that!! We would love to come back one day!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our host, Michael, was fantastic! He made us a lovely healthy breakfast every morning after asking us our likes and don't likes and we enjoyed chatting to him immensely. We even went for a walk on the beach with him and the two lovely dogs that he shares his life with. He was very accommodating and made sure we had every need taken care of. Michael, in my opinion, made a holiday venue go from fabulous to simply outstanding by his attention to detail and his immense love for the hospitality industry and the service he provides. Room was very spacious and comfortable and shower and bathroom area was amazing. We found the house very central to all our needs in the Garden Route and very close to a quiet and undisturbed beach that looks like, only the residents that live there, actually know about. The sound of the crashing waves at night also brought a very welcome relaxation. We loved our stay and have already made an enquiry about re-booking - but turns out he is fully booked and this honestly comes as no surprise. Simply excellent and must stay if you are going to the Garden Route!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and view from the place was beautiful. Breakfast was an amazing treat every morning and wonderfully executed. Staff was so friendly and made us feel very welcome.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: What an extraordinary B&B! One of, if the, best I have ever stayed in. Our host Michael made every effort to make our stay as comfortable, interesting and pleasant as possible. A font of local knowledge, and an excellent cook, Michael provided fantastic breakfasts (albeit maybe a bit too "healthy"!) hand prepared and cooked in the huge kitchen, accompanied by the widest selection of jams and spreads I have ever seen outside of a supermarket. His three dogs were a delight, though he was careful to advise that if we did not like dogs he would keep them out of the house. This was not a problem for us, but useful to know for others, perhaps. The were a bit boisterous, but well behaved, and did not go upstairs at all. The rooms? Well, they are almost indescribable, and you will need to look at the pictures on this site to get a picture for yourselves. Suffice to say that outside of a 6* hotel I have never seen anything like it. Our room, the main one in the building, was as big as a small apartment. when you include the en-suite shower room, complete with it's own urinal (I want one of those) and a great shower, and the en-suite dressing room, I am sure the whole square footage is in fact bigger than many people's apartment! Complete with spotter scope for whale watching and star gazing, bath on a pedestal in the main bay window, table and chairs, sofa, reclining chairs, TV, stereo, and even two sinks for the times when the en-suite is too far to walk, this was the best hotel room of any sort I have ever stayed in. It also had a shared balcony with the next door suite, with two sets of tables and chairs. This and the windows all looked out over the dunes to the huge and very long, and almost always desterted beach, right opposite. If I had one suggestion for improvements I would suggest some sort of mirroring on the bay windows!
Cons: Nothing - this is as close to perfect as a B&B gets. I'd like to come back and stay for a week.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Michael is the most incredible host we ever met! We had an amazing stay. The room was huge and Michael was paying attention to every detail. The breakfast was also perfection - Michael was even baking bread rolls for us every single day. Looking forward to come back one day!

Pros: Tony and Vanessa were very friendly and loved Candice their dog. Beds were clean and warm.
Cons: No satellite TV. Unfortunately no electricity from middle of the night and woke up to freezing cold room and could not make tea/coffee in our room plus no candles for light. We were offered tea/coffee in main house but NO breakfast due to electricity. We were only refunded R 300 for 5 people breakfast. I believe that in SA you should be prepared for having no electricity especially in paying accommodation. We left but we were freezing from the cold.

I would recommend this place to anybody that would like to unwind and go for deep reflection. You are one with nature in the garden cottage 1, waking up to the sound of birds chirping. When the weather is beautiful the monkeys come to visit my daughter was amazed by them. I loved everything about this place and will surely go back.
Cons: I loved it when I saw no pets allowed, but the day after check in whilst having breakfast on the deck 2 dogs visited right where we were dining and my daughter was so afraid because she is allergic to dogs also. So I needed to make a stopper for them not to come onto deck whilst my daughter was playing there.

Pros: The Tops was a wonderful experience. The owner couple is very helpful and attentive. The location is high on a hillside overlooking the Wilderness 5 km beach. The breakfast on the deck overlooking the beach was over the top with every international and local food you can think of. There are bird feeders attracting 20+ species to the deck.
Cons: If you wanted to be near the beach this is not the location for easy access. The beach is a short drive or 15 minute walk. The takeoff is the outstanding view from every room and the breakfast deck.

Cons: What is not to like?
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The view
7,9 Good
Pros: The views are amazing since it's right on the beach which is easy to get to right down off the garden. My 88-year-old dad really did get the warmest room in the place when I asked for it. Ask for directions to the nearby fish restaurant on a cliff overlooking the beach. Excellent!
Cons: The windows and sliding doors have miserable locks and don't really close well. Although I didn't mind the sound of the crashing waves all night, there was absolutely no different in sound inside the room whether the windows were open or closed. The rooms were also cold, especially the one off the kitchen, and even with the portable heater on.

Cons: nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were incredibly friendly. Bed soooo comfy! Breakfast super tasty! Massage was fantastic! Just a lovely stay!
Cons: Toaster needs to be replaced... bread just took too long to toast. Food cold by the time toaster flips then bread still not completely toasted.
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: We have stayed many places. This was first time we actually checked out the morning after our late night arrival, I will not reccomend this lodge to people. We were hightly disappointed, room was below average, hygiene was poor, we were asked to have breakfast in the room because we have a 1yr old infant. Horrible experience, it is not value for money, Breakfast was terrible too, poor chef skills. We had to wait 45mins for a simple omlette, which was not worth the wait. Do not book this place, it's an embarrassment to the wilderness, rather Go to SHANGRI LA MANOR IT IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, TRANQUIL AND WELCOMING, AND COSY.
Cons: Everything
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfection! Room, serenity, balcony & view, forthcoming service and boutique spa - all above and beyond.
Cons: If the pool was heated that would have been awesome.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent stay! Spacious, cozy suite and lovely breakfast.

Pros: Everything
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Neat, modern, spectacular views. Delicious breakfast too.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The view from the room was amazing to wake up to. The cold and hot options for breakfast had everything we wanted. Smiley (who manages the place) looks after you like you're family and lives up to his name, always approachable, happy and helpful), it wouldn't have been the same without him there.
Cons: Our floor could have done with a clean as it was quite dusty, that said the windows were open all the time so that probably contributed.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing - maybe the location
Cons: When we placed this booking, it clearly stated that we will pay in cash. A couple of mins after we got the reservation approved, we received an email stating that the place tried to charge the credit card and failed. It stated that we need to contact the property asap and that is what we did. We spoke with the owner and he said not to worry and we will sort it out once we arrive - we will pay in cash as that is why we choose this place. When we reached the place, the owner stated that the card was already charged for a couple of days ago. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was what we expected had a great stay the view is breath taking. We came to rest and they were perfect for this
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
