Residence Il Borgo - Bellagio - Building

9,6 Excellent (268 reviews)
R1 730+

The residence is 100 metres from the nearest bars and restaurants and 800 metres from a supermarket. There is a free public park 300 metres away. Set in Bellagio, it is just a few steps from the harbour for boats across Lake Como. The nearest train station is a short boat ride away in Varenna. The elegant villas of Villa Melzi and Villa Servelloni are a short walk away.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything ran very smoothly. Flavio, the owner, was excellent and very good with communications so we knew exactly what we were doing regarding getting into apartment as we arrived very late at night. He also gave us good advice regarding places to eat. The apartment was super and everything you could possibly need was there. The location was perfect and we would definitely hope to stay here again. Will also tell family and friends. Bellagio is a beautiful place and the people are very friendly and helpful. Loved it.
Cons: There was nothing about Residence Il Borgo not to like.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, seconds to everything, flavio the owner was FANTASTIC! Very clean, room was serviced every 4 days/ however you only needed to ask for fresh towels and they were delivered with no questions asked. Nothing was too much trouble, example we bumped into Flávio whilst getting some provisions for the room from a local supermarket some 1.5km away , Flavio insisted he took our bags and delivered them back to our apartment.. WHAT A GUY.. WiFi was good. Good air con, fridge good size. Bathroom clean,And plenty of hot water. If you want authentic Italy at its best in a great little apartment where you felt like one of the locals this is the place to stay. Tips.. Over the 2 weeks we visited the majority of Villages by ferry, the 6 day pass was great and well worth the money approx €80, Bellagio is the diamond of them all. We will defiantly be back. Thanks Flávio.
Cons: The title “what didn’t we like about the property” isn’t a great title! It should be What other comments could you give? Would be more apt. BEING PICKY, Sound proofing of the neighbouring room, for 3 nights out of the 14 we had young children crying and making noise NOT the fault of the owner just inconsiderate neighbours.and I guess age of property? We had a split level room with a small spiral staircase to the bedroom, this was very squeaky on 2 or 3 of the steps.. only an issue if you had to visit the loo during the night. Again possible age of the property and I’m not the smallest of Chaps! Again being picky, the pillows had seen better days and flat.. I guess if I had me sober to Flávio he would of replaced, that said, bed was comfortable. Well equipped small kitchen area with pans cutlery glasses etc, however again being picky, could do with more cooking utensils only had one wooden spoon to cook with, whilst I’m no Jamie Oliver maybe a few more items such as draining spoon, egg flipper spatula and non stick pan, would be great if you planned to eat in some of the holiday. Finally, as your very close to the church Sq be prepared that at 8am then on every 30 mins the church bells rings out.. after a while we got used to this and in a positive no need to set your alarm in the morning.

Pros: The owners, Flavio and Silvia were most friendly and helpful! The location in the center of Bellagio was great.
Cons: For those travelling by car, parking is quite a hike. Also, accessing the apartment building involves lots of steps.

Pros: No Breakfast ??
Cons: Missed Daylight into the room & a Balcony if I'm honest Needed Breakfast was hard work to find it at a reasonable price
10,0 Excellent
Pros: centrally located in Bellagio. steps away from the shops and restaurants. Best part was the friendliness and welcoming of owner Flavio. He couldn't be more helpful, informative, and kind to accommodate our arrival. Driving into Bellagio was rough because of windy small roads but after we settled in comfortably as if we lived there.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Love these apartments. Sylvia and Flavio are excellent hosts. So helpful and friendly. Comfy bed, spotlessly clean, little kitchen area for breakfast, nice big bathroom. Up a lot of steps, but not too difficult, even for older travelers. Cute restaurants all around. Love Bellagio! Love Residence Il Borgo.
Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, location, value for what we got, and the owners were awesome!!
Cons: The only thing we didn’t like was the circular staircase to the bedroom. Having to go up and down that at night to get to the bathroom was not convenient.

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Everything excellent. Location great stuff helpfull.breakfast perfect
9,2 Excellent
Pros: A view from here to die for. Lake Como in all its glory. This hotel is all about the view - and why not. The hotel runs a shuttle bus to and from the town of Bellagio. Don't try walking there! Do take the boats on the lake. We had a wonderful lakeside lunch at Mennagio.
Cons: Only slight grumble is that, compared with the many smaller guest houses we stayed at during a three-week road trip in Italy etc., this was the least personal in terms of service. Inevitable perhaps with a larger property.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Views!
Cons: Can’t walk from here so need to rely on shuttle
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view!!
Cons: They need more shuttle times to and from town.

Pros: The room had all the required amenities and a lovely view of the lake. Very comfortable.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was splendid. The facilities were great.
Cons: A couple of things could have been a bit better- but overall- it was great
10,0 Excellent
Pros: One word to describe this hotel and its view ... WOW. Great experience for our first time on Lake Como. Would definitely stay here during our next visit to Bellagio.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The family that run this hotel are so welcoming, helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Also gave some good tips and recommendations. Great breakfast.
Cons: Although in a beautiful position high up and overlooking the lake, if you don’t have transport or miss the shuttle that is provided twice daily, the walk down to the ferry is quite difficult.

Pros: Lovely staff , great food and sensibly priced
Cons: Nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This is a wonderful exceptionally well kept family run hotel in a most beautiful location five minutes drive from the lakeside with spectacular views of lake Como and the mountains beyond. The family were all really friendly and helpful and provided good travel information for the next leg of our journey. The choice at breakfast was really good and we will definitely stay here again when next in the Italian lakes. All in all great value for money.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. The room and bathroom were spotless and the bed large and comfortable. We had a terrace with a beautiful lake view. In room tea and coffee making facilities and a good sized fridge. The location was a 20 minutes downhill walk to the lake. We walked it no problem. A shuttle was provided free of charge, twice in the morning and pickup twice in the late afternoon right opposite the ferry, if you don’t want to walk. Breakfast was superb.
Cons: We have nothing negative to say about this Hotel.

Pros: Very cozy apartment not even 5 mins walk from the Bellagio ferry port. All shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The apartment itself is modern with everything one would expect. The place and cutlery were exceptionally clean. We had no qualms about using the pots and pans.
Cons: The parking situation is not good, but there is nothing the owner can do about that. It is good that one can drive up to the building and unload/load baggage.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It is our 2nd time.. We love how we feel at home there.. Apartments are spacious clean comfortable... It was easy to check in and owner was great!
Cons: It was hard to get there with heavy luggage

Cons: Nothin
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Feels like home, clean, icredibly good location, great staff. Perfect for us.
Cons: Car is a problem if you would like to park it near-by
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Bright, airy apartment with lemon tree blossoms perfuming the air. Right in the middle of Bellagio. Laundromat was next door. Didn't want to leave. Wonderful.
Cons: Driving through town on a street that looked like a sidewalk was awkward, at first. But, there is parking at the church about one block away that was convenient.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the area the apartments were in and the gardens around it. Plenty of room in large studio and light and airy. Light was flickering in room on first evening and it was sorted that evening without any fuss.
Cons: Only thing that would have been handy was a few more coffee and breakfast tea sachets.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location was very good and Bellagio was beautiful
Cons: The towels and possibly the bed sheets were not changed during our week long stay
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Perfect apartment for a single or couple. All the right appliances and connections. Comfortable. And a great garden courtyard with lounge chairs. Also a terrace spot with a partial lake view. Grocery adjacent to the property.
Cons: Would have liked one additional living room chair, but the sofa was good.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds, great location. Best views on the quieter side of the Bellagio peninsula/lake. Definitely worth the extra expense for the double lake view room. The lower building was removed and private. Loved our stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and view
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything: spacious very clean rooms, well equipped bathroom, helpful staff, excellent breakfast. We were staying in a room with lake view - breathtaking! Good location in a quiet area, just 5-minute walk to the center.
Cons: A little bit overpriced.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Service.. wonderful views, food was excellent , room was wonderful quiet, great bed, sheets , nice amenities , restful, great massage and spa like experience
Cons: Nothing .. should have stayed longer
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was nice and comfy with a fantastic walk in shower with lights and different water settings but the terrace absolute made it and have it the wow factor with the beautiful view of the lake, we could really relax here. The pool area was great and the food and service in both the restaurant and pool bar was outstanding. The hotels location was perfect, just a short walk down to Bellagio. A stunning hotel I would love to visit again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Views over the lake, calmness, outdoor pool and jakuzi. Room spotless clean-service has 5 stars.
Cons: You dont know which room exactly you will get, as pictures shows only some type of room, but there are many differrnt ones,e.g. double room with lake view, as we took, had really amazing view over the lake, but bathroom was not that nice as on pictures-this is just to takr into consideration, otherwise all the rest perfect!:)
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fabulous! Coffee service brought up to room was wonderful. Staff always ready to assist and so nice. Our room was very comfortable with such an outstandingly beautiful view and he bathroom was an unexpected delight!
Cons: I honestly cannot think of a lot of improvement - the seating in the common areas was very low.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: An elegant quiet full service hotel . Lovely pool and spa. Restaurant on premises. Modern decor and baths. Helpful polite staff.
Cons: The location was very good because it is away from the crowded tourist area. But it is at the top of a steep hill and you need to call the hotel shuttle to come for you. Taxis are non existent. If you have a car it is fine. If not, the shuttle will be a help.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location and stunning views. Great Breakfast too.
Grand Hotel Tremezzo - Tremezzo - Building

Overview Reviews
Situated in Tremezzina, this luxury hotel is within 1 mi (2 km) of Cadenabbia Ferry Terminal and Villa Carlotta. Villa Melzi and Villa del Balbianello are also within 3 mi (5 km).
7,1 Good
Pros: The lobby upon entering and the grounds were fabulous. The room, while small, had a beautiful lake view with a very small balcony. The breakfast was fantastic, like being at a wedding every morning.
Cons: When we arrived there was a smell of sewerage in the room. We realized it was coming from the bidet. When we informed the staff they said they would send someone to look at it immediately. They did not get back to us about it. The problem was not resolved, They just put the stopper in the bidet (while this alleviated the odor slightly it did not fix it). We reminded them again about the problem and told them it needed to be fixed. They said they would have a plumber take a look when we checked out. While we paid a small fortune for this room I would have expected them to switch our room since the hotel was not at capacity. The staff was very friendly all around. I could not say enough about them but management should have accommodated us for the problem.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Grand Hotel Tremezzo is a World Class hotel with Fabulous cuisine and attention to every designer detail from the 3 pools to the Spa and incredible room full of options for every breakfast- with views of Lake Como and its many quaint towns easily accessible by boat for shopping , dining, shopping , dining, shopping and dining !! We can’t wait to return.
Cons: Nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Luxurious facilities with outstanding service!
Cons: Wish it were closer to livelier towns but the ferry was very convenient.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous position on the lake, wonderful gardens and swimming pools, friendly helpful staff
Cons: Other than breakfast food was disappointing
7,5 Good
Pros: Location and Service were outstanding.
Cons: - Food Quality and value - Weak Wi-Fi - No Coffee maker in room - Add shelf under sink in bathroom - Rooms were very dated - WirelessSpeaker did not work - For $1,000 a night I expected A LOT more.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The position on the lake was fantastic. Views and scenery were fab . The staff in the beach bar were excellent. Marco in the postering staff was a great help .
Cons: The general attitude of the hotel staff was very cold . The service in the trattoria restaurant and the main bar was awful . We stayed in the hotel for 7 nights and were not asked by any manager how we were enjoying our stay . We felt anonymous and unwelcome !! Would not go back or recommend the hotel to any of our friends .
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, location, view. Very clean
Cons: Fine dining was average expect the price (too much even for Mr. Marchesi and certainly too much for what you get. Same with the massages...they were ok and overpriced
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Most amazing hotel I have ever stayed in the world and the view was 10/10
7,5 Good
Pros: Location and the hotel surroundings are beautiful. The garden with the tennis court is well taken care of and offers a lot of spots to rest and enjoy the view. Spa and Lake pool is a must!
Cons: For the price paid, we expected top class experience. However, there were several issues in comparison to other hotels in luxury category. Breakfast - room looks beautiful, but the variety was insufficient. We stayed for 4 nights and every day was the same offer. No change. We were missing fresh vegetables, food was running out quickly and we had wait quite some time. And one more thing which I consider outrageous when paying more than 1000 euros per night is additional payment for regular breakfast dishes such as waffles, poached eggs etc. Check-out experience - we waited 40 min until our bags were collected and the receptionist barely apologised Room - no coffee or tea amenities
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Most amazing hotel I have ever stayed at. Wonderful friendly staff. They think of everything there! Will go back. Stunning views and great breakfast. Pool areas and garden are breathtaking. Beds so comfy!!
Cons: Nothing!!!

With a stay at Hotel Garni Corona, you'll be centrally located in Menaggio, within a 15-minute drive of Villa Carlotta and Villa del Balbianello. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and an elevator.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is right in the center in piazza Garibaldi. The location is excellent, the service was wonderful, the room was spacious and very comfortable. Close to the ferry station. I would stay here again
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is fantastic. It is right there on the plaza and restaurants, stores, church etc. are just a block away. The staff was extremely helpful in helping with directions, restaurant recommendations etc. The tourist office is next door.
Cons: The walk from the ferry to the hotel, even though is kind of near it is very difficult to walk with luggage since they are cobblestone streets. Of course it depends on your age group. We are in our 60's and it was stressful, the sidewalks are very narrow and cars are passing by constantly. I recommend you reserve a taxi if you don't feel comfortable with the description I just gave you.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were newly refurbished and were immaculate. Breakfast was delicious with a great assortment of juices yogurts cheeses meats and breads.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Good location, easy access to everything. The staff was very helpful, we had some difficulties along the way, they quickly arranged a vehicle to pick us up, they also resolved a minor billing error quickly and efficiently..

Pros: Wonderful location by the lake and Menaggio center. Very nice room fully renovated. Nice breakfast with complementary fresh orange juice.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This little 3 star hotel is a gem, it’s without doubt the best 3 star hotel we have used, in fact better then a lot of higher rating hotels. Check in a breeze, the rooms recently renovated were very clean, lovely big bed and a balcony and views over the lake, wonderful. Breakfast was very good and the coffee terrific. The hotel is on the edge of the square with cafes, bars etc around, walk to the ferry in 5 minutes. Happy to recommend.

Pros: This is a lovely small family run hotel with what is arguably one of the best balconies on which to eat with the lake just below. Food is wonderful and the breakfast best we have had in Italy on this holiday. Staff cannot be more helpful and charming
Cons: We were on a corner and you can get a bit of street noise but it does die down during the night and didn’t worry us unduly.

Pros: The hotel was perfect, small, beautifully located on Lake Como, a superb restaurant lake view restaurant, adjacent parking, very friendly staff, large comfortable rooms with an incredible view of the lake. Pros: Everything, the staff, room, breakfast, and the restaurant was first class, we had a meal on our wedding anniversary at the restaurant over looking the lake, it was perfect. we wish we had eaten in the hotel restaurant more than we did as we went to a "touristy" restaurant that was expensive and the food was awful.
Cons: only the position of our room .....it overlooked the main road to Como, so was a bt noisy. next time we will book a room with a lake view.
6,8 Good
Pros: Staff excellent, food good, room modern and well appointed.
Cons: Lakeside rooms Ok. Roadside rooms - same quality but noisy. (like most hotels along the lake)

The Hill, surrounded by a park with gardens and olive grove, is located in a quiet and panoramic position not far from the city centre, within walking distance. The House, the swimming pool, the solarium overlooking this incomparable scenery. The suites are equipped with every comfort: kitchen with microwave, bathroom with shower, air conditioning and heating, safe, electronic key safe, satellite television, internet access, laundry room with washer and dryer, private parking. 2 supermarkets, Sports Centre and an equipped beach are just minutes away. The entire structure is particularly suitable for families or groups of friends (max. 16 persons). In this case you have a large fully equipped kitchen and a large lounge, dining room. If there is availability, apartments, 3 apartments and 1 apartment, can be rented individually.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very private, great view and spacious/comfortable
Cons: Location was 30mins walk from Bellagio town, parts steep
9,2 Excellent
Pros: WHAT A VIEW! Great location a little further away from the tourist-dense heart of Bellagio.
Cons: The walk to Bellagio is just over 20 minutes - impossible with luggage. At night, there are very dark patches of trail. But easy to navigate to and from town.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The views from the garden over Bellagio are fantastic. The complex is quiet and private. The pool is very clean and perfect for the very hot weather. The owners are very attentive, nice, friendly and approachable. The villa is about a 5 minute drive from Bellagio, an ideal place as you can enjoy the restaurants in the area around the villa rather than going to into the town itself.
Cons: The air conditioning unit heat regulation is managed from an admin panel in the manager's office, rather than managed and regulated in the room itself. This resulted in us not being able to reduce the temperature to a suitable level until we called the manager.
5,1 Okay
Pros: Location was good and views are beautiful. But it ends there.
Cons: The floors were dirty, the comforter was stained, there was black mold growing on the shower tiles and the pool was so dirty we couldn't use it. Cobwebs with large spiders in corners, so apartment isn't getting cleaned well. You don't get tissues or napkins. You get 2 little bottles of body wash. No soap, no shampoo, no lotion. No extras. You get one towel per person upon arrival and if you need more you must pay. Same with the toilet paper. No sponge in kitchen but you are required to clean up kitchen before check out. No extra garbage bags but you are required to take out your trash and bring glass recycling to church in town. You are paying them to do their work! They don't provide the basics and you certainly aren't getting any extras. When you are traveling you shouldn't have to stock up and buy all these things. Poorly run business where owners don't lift a finger and sit back and collect your room fee. They also like to try and find little deficiencies to impose extra fees on their guests. Stay somewhere else!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, spacious, AMAZING VIEW, beautiful clean pool and quiet!! Very helpful host.
Cons: It was an easy walk into he town but a very hot and difficult walk back up the hill. Regret not having a car. No taxis available either.

Pros: Great central location, hence Hotel Centrale. Family run hotel, very friendly family and the room was exceptionally clean as was the bathroom. The view into the courtyard was lovely with all the many plantings.
Cons: the mattress could be updated, I could feel the spirals of it in my ribs. No good. Otherwise nothing to report.

Pros: In a beautiful position overlooking the harbour and shoreline. Very comfortable room with balcony.
Cons: Balcony was really pleasant and only spoilt by loud conversation and music from guests on the next-door balconies.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at Hotel Centrale at the recommendation of a friend and couldn't be happier with our choice. The hotel is in the heart of Bellagio and is owned/run by a multi-generational family of whom Michael was the main "front man". First location.... The hotel is truly in the middle of the small village with many restaurants/shops within a stone's throw and the main street is only a short walk away (1-2 minutes). The only down point is to get to the hotel, one must walk up about a block length of stone stairs from the main street. Not really for anyone with ambulation problems. But then again, the entire town of Bellagio is a bunch of up/downhill streets and stairs - probably not the best place to visit for someone who is unable to walk. Second, the staff. Again we couldn't be happier with our experience. Michael was personable, friendly, and very helpful. He actually called the hotel we were going to next (in Cinque Terre - a big storm had gone through that area) to make sure everything was alright before we headed down there. Third, the breakfast (included) was one of the highlights of our stay. Delicious, warm, and filling. It was wonderful to start our day with a leisurely meal before heading out. Fourth, the accommodations... The hotel had a beautiful, well kept garden and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They placed a tea tray in our rooms in the afternoon with tea/coffee/baked goods - so lovely to come home to this. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were modern and efficient. They also included free WIFI which was convenient. All in all, we highly recommend the Hotel Centrale!!!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is situated just behind few blocks away from the ferry terminal , though lake is not visible from the hotel. Overall a good hotel to stay and find out attractions of Bellagio. Excellent restaurants are just walking distance from this property.
Cons: The door locks . Somehow I find those hard and should be at par the standard of other good hotels .
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was so welcoming.
Cons: A bit of effort to get luggage up or down hillside to front door.

Pros: - Perfect location near the ferry station in the beautiful old villa - Hotel staff were very kind and even helped to organise birthday surprise for my wife - Very nice and comfortable room - In addition, we enjoyed spending time in the swimming pool to chill after hiking
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant location - just 800 metres from the ferry , but far enough away not to be bothered by crowds. Easy walk to restaurants and the famed Greenway di Lago village trek. Shout out to the friendly family staffed hospitality and exemplary house keeping staff.
Cons: Not a criticism per se, but this place is not on the water (though very close!) and does experience some traffic noise if you are out on the terrace. Overall, excellent value for a 3 star property in the area.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owners and staff were very nice, and there is secure parking at no extra charge Eating breakfast on the lakefront terrace was delight.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The cheerfulness and helpfulness of the staff. The cleanliness of the property. The poolside and terrace were well kept. The easy location for getting to other places.
Cons: Everything was super. A small point only, but at breakfast a couple of chain-smoking guests made it unpleasant. Could the terrace have a designated couple of tables where smoking is allowed so that it’s possible to get away from it? A kettle in the room would have been a bonus.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was really friendly, location great, view perfect
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect, reception staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel is perfectly located. Great views, very calm and charming area yet lots of restaurants walking distance. Pool was ace. Didn’t book the best room but was reflected in the price and bed were super comfortable. Would go back anytime.
Cons: Our room were the cheapest therefor didn’t expect too much of them. However could possibly do with a leak of paint just to modernise a bit the wallpaper

Pros: Purchased the room with a view and our jaws literally dropped to the floor once we walked into our room because of how unbelievable the view was. Aside from that, the furniture, decor, and amenities within the room are all very update and seemingly very new. The style of the furniture and decor are also fitting for a Lake Como hotel. The included breakfast was delicious and the entire staff was unbelievably sweet.
Cons: Keep in mind there is a good amount of stairs to walk up to the front door of the hotel in case you have a lot of luggage. But no complains whatsoever about this place. It was amazing.

Cons: The fact that the hotel staff could not help us to our apartment with luggage
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect (directly behind the 5* Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni which entitles you to use the resort’s facilities including pools, spa, workout rooms, etc). Beautiful veranda for drinks and the apartment was wonderfully appointed and you can make and have your coffee/drinks on its veranda overlooking Lake Como. Perfect in every way. Walking distance to heart of Bellagio including ferries, restaurants and shops (save room in your suitcases for silks and shoes). Free parking is great perk although driving to Bellagio is a hair-raising experience.
Cons: Nothing.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location, location, location. In the heart of Bellagio - walk out your front door and you are literally in the center of town in 3 minutes. An easy walk through the beautiful gardens and you are at the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni with full access to their pool, beach, restaurant, etc. AMAZING!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We liked that we could be on the Hotel Serbolino property with full use of the facilities.
Cons: The bed and pillows were uncomfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, quiet, central location, spacious and access to the hotel facilities (the pool is great). The hotter restaurant is also excellent.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We booked the small apartment, which was extremely clean and spacious - and beautiful to the eye, especially the floor tiles. Their was a macelleria and an alimenteri store a short walk into the town of Bellagio to buy meat and bread for cooking in the apartment, which we much enjoyed doing. Getting to the ferry terminal to visit other towns was only a six minute or so walk away from the apartment. The apartment was very convenient to everything. The view of the mountain from the balcony was spectacular. The walks around the area from the apartment itself were spectacular too. We didn't avail ourselves of the hotel services made available to apartment guests, other than walking through their lovely gardens. The concierge staff at the hotel we're extremely pleasant and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Residence L'Ulivo apartments.
Cons: The bed was a tad hard. I would have liked it a year ago before I had my back operation, but now I need softer mattresses. This isn't a fault of the apartment though.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff. Big clean appartment. Good location.
Cons: Reception to the apartment was difficult to find as located in Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni. Extra supplies like long life milk, more coffee & tea .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: 5 star facilities and cleanliness at 3 star prices.
Cons: Quite a hill to walk up behind the hotel. You’ll need to be relatively able bodied.

Pros: Breakfast room is outstanding.
Cons: No evidence of any overall management presence - in that respect rather Impersonable. Pillows rather hard. A directory of the whole property, both inside and out, would help.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The BEST hotel to stay in Bellagio - if you've got the $$$ or want to ensure that you have the best experience. Rooms, service/staff, food and overall experience...incredible.
Cons: Nothing....everything was superb!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the room which was clean, well decorated, and offering an incredible view on Lake Como.
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Old world charm, but updated
Cons: Prices by the pool excessive, 12 euro for a beer is too much, cigar smoking guests by pool a bit off putting...I don’t think cigars should be smoked in public areas
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni did a fantastic job of taking care of us - very comfortable room, welcoming staff, and wonderful facilities. They were great with greeting you by name, suggestions on activities and arranging dining reservations. It didn't matter if you pulled up in a Bentley or not ( we didn't)
7,1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent
Cons: The room was very old fashioned Bathroom was more modern and eccdllent
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, all of them especially concierge staff. General manager and driver, Luigi! And the staff at the drasena.

Pros: Everything
Cons: All good
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely beautiful hotel. The staff was attentive and friendly. The grounds as well as the hotel was sparkling clean. Can't wait to return!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: View is TO DIE FOR. Breakfast was included in my price and it was FANTASTIC. Staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The location is SUPERB. All in all cannot be beat. Additionally, Michelin starred restaurant, Mistral, on the premises delivers! Live trio every night for classic hits are a great accompaniment to cocktails in their lounge.
Cons: The hotel is luxe and beautifully historic but would've loved a more modern blow dryer. Version in room is a really old model with no power. Bring your own if necessary!
9,1 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Although there was a lot to like about the classic and dated feel of the hotel, there was certain areas where things need to be brought up to modern day times - like being able to have a cup of tea on the terrace before 10:00am.

Pros: The owner Paulo and Rosanna are the best host I have met in my life. I felt I am staying with my parents, who takes care of every single bit and the love they have shared with my son was amazing. I just loved their hospitality. Never felt I have been to this place for the first time. A genuine recommendation from my side for everyone who is visiting Como. Miss them a lot!!
Cons: There is nothing I did not like about this place. It is 20/10. More than expected!!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was amazing. So happy and helpful. Best breakfast of our trip. They let us use bikes and there is an amazing bike path to Menaggio along the lake. A little far to walk for most but a perfect bike ride.
Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I rarely leave ratings on places we stayed but when the accommodation is excellent and the owner went above and beyond to make your stay great, it’s only proper to give credit where it’s due. We got the double/twin room with lake view and it did not disappoint. The room and the view are amazing plus Paolo the owner is such a welcoming and attentive person. We didnt know how to get a transportation back to the ferry port but Paolo offered to give us a ride. We greatly appreciated the gesture. It’s our first time traveling to Italy so we didnt know what places we should be visiting. Our only regret is that we only stayed 1 day. When we visit Italy next time, Hotel Loveno will definitely be our priority. Great relaxing place. Definitely a favorite.

Pros: Amazing view of lake como from the balcony. We are already planning our trip back there to stay in this hotel. Easy to get to town
Cons: Not so keen on the breakfast so after the first day we went to town for breakfast. Not suitable for less mobile people who dont have a car - it is a 10 minute or so walk down a steep hill to the town.

Pros: The staff was amazing and so was the owner. The hotel were placed a bit up the hill so the enviroment was amazing. I will defintly stay there again. The food was tasty as well and the pool was perfect.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Cozy, that feeling that you are safe in a home away from home. The host was very attentive and nice. Thank you, Sig. Colombo! All the personnel we came in contact with made their best to make us feel welcome. Very good breakfast. Dinner at the family restaurant is a bonus. The property is at 25 min walk up the hill and 15 min down but for us it was nice, we discovered new and interesting routes every time, admired the beautiful houses and the scenery. We traveled only with our backpacks, so no inconvenience. Menaggio is a good place for accommodation because it has connections with all the major attractions around Lake Como and also is 1h away by bus from Lugano. Villa Carlotta is a must see in Menaggio
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely, family run hotel. A lovely atmosphere that is exceptionally peaceful. It is a bit of a walk up the hill from the main town, but this is actually a blessing as it aids the view.
7,9 Good
Pros: Nice Location, friendly owner, nice atmosphere!
Cons: Value for money, probably due to high season (?) Rooms a bit outdated, food a bit to fad (thought not bad!)

Pros: Peaceful atmosphere, nice partial lake view and mountain view. Good restaurant, Mario's owner hospitality!!! Even gave us a can with ice for our own proseco!!! Really comfortable bed!
Cons: The room was really small, but all the rest really perfect. Take into account real 20-25 minutes walk up to hill )))
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable with excellent parking and good food. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The proprietor, Mr Colombo, was always around to look after us and make sure we were well looked after. Beautiful setting with a lovely view of Lake Como to sit and have an aperitif before dinner
Cons: We were happy with everything
9,2 Excellent
Pros: A very warm welcome from Mario who kindly came and collected us from the ferry as no taxis to be seen. Very personal and friendly staff who welcomed you like family. Excellent breakfast and evening meals. Beautiful gardens and pool area in a quiet and peaceful setting.
Cons: We would have liked tea/coffee in the room.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We were very late arriving due to a delayed flight and Barack Obama visiting the Cluneys! Still we were welcomed and served a delicious cold dinner. Throughout our stay all the staff were so friendly and happy to do anything for us that we felt truly pampered. The room was comfortable and very clean, the food was delicious - treat yourself to the Château Briand it was sublime.
Cons: There is nothing we did not like about this wonderful hotel.

Pros: Great location, with a comfortable room with its own terrace, and even a bit of a view of the lake. Breakfast was good. Garden you can sit in. Bring bug spray though... Would stay again.
Cons: Nothing really!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were spotless and well appointed. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was amazing! The location was very nice...away from the hustle bustle but an easy walk into the main part of town. I’d suggest a taxi to the hotel with luggage because it is uphill! The staff at the hotel called one for us!
6,3 Good
Pros: Probably for the location value is good. Breakfast was good. Had parking outside and inside.
Cons: Really feels that the hotel is comfortable with the demand for the resort itself. The cattle for share use in the corridors is so old and cheap, that it hardly closes and spills if you don’t notice that it’s a bit cracked. Room was very small, the shower was the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel. The manager can leave the hotel in the middle of the day, yet we had an issue with the keys, and had to leave a wedding ceremony to return when the manager was back, to be able to get in our room after 23pm, since all is closed by that time. Not very kind, since it’s not our fault, that the manager was away at 11am. One more unpleasant moment: we asked to help us get taxi. The assistant first told us that the 6 min drive will cost 10 EUR, than changed it to 20 EUR. Who does that? You don’t change price if you agreed already.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I loved my stay here!! The breakfast was amazing and our room was spectacular. My friend and I came to celebrate my birthday and we got the room with the cute balcony it exceeded my expectations I loved my weekend stay here. Cons: There’s nothing. Absolutely wonderful place!

Pros: The room was very clean and well appointed, and the staff were lovely and accommodating.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely view of the lake from our room. It was a 10 minute walk to the bustle of Bellagio. The breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, cheese and other Italian treats. The sweet treats were varied and amazing.
Cons: You have to get used to a smaller bathroom and shower Recess but we coped pretty well.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very nice and helpful, city center is within walking distance (stairs). The appartment is beautiful, in the morning before breakfast we walked for 2 minutes to see the lake, it was beautiful, very quiet. We reccomend !
Cons: Room was a little small but enough for us :)
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful view very n the lake from the upper rooms. The location is perfect if you want something more quiet and at the same time just close to the village center. Bellagio is a small town so you can reach everywhere by foot. Rooms are a little bit small, but enough for a short stay. Breakfast is good and diverse.
Cons: It can become too hot in the room and you have to pay extra to turn the AC... we were expecting the staff to be more friendly, not the very typical italians we’ve already meet.

Pros: The Staff, the views, the facilities, the garden view with the waterfall sound on the background made me fall asleep in 5 seconds. We had an early flight from Malpensa which wouldn't allow us to stay for the regular breakfast hours. The staff went out of their way to prepare us breakfast boxes the night before so we could take with us. They were incredible. I highly recommend this place. They offer shuttle services to the city center for a symbolic $1 euro per person but walking wasn't a problem for us. We will definitely go back.
Cons: The fact that I couldn't stay longer.

Pros: The view from the bedroom is amazing! From the balcony of the restaurant is even more! The room is very large, very soft bed sheets, lovely staff! Very helpfull. We’ve just love it!
Cons: Shower was splashing water out of the box, wetting the bathroom a little bit.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All was great. The view is amazing. Staff was polite and friendly.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Might only have two stars, but I'd get married here. The view over the lake is mesmerizing. When breakfast is served on the terrace, you can enjoy it to the best, or from one of the rooms. Ours was recently updated, certainly in the bathroom, but the update managed to retain the rustic charm of the place. Yes, you're quite far outside Bellagio, but this place is not to be missed as an experience.
Cons: Nope.

Pros: Booked the Junior Suite with Lake View. The view from the room was stunning; both day and night. The bed was on a raised platform and looked straight out through the huge windows toward Bellagio and Lake Como. The terrace was large and opened up the views even more. You could happily spend hours on the terrace, with a nice Italian wine and nibbles, just taking in the view. The staff were exceptional; helpful, friendly and welcoming. The lawn terrace where we ate breakfast and dinner is large and sits above the detached Junior Suites, where it provides even more expansive views. The dinner menu was fairly basic, but tasty and our waiter was hilarious. The views also take in Villa Carlotta, Grand Hotel Tremezzo and the church on the cliff face, San Martino, which are a short ferry trip away across the lake from Bellagio. Other guests said they had views from the hotel itself, but I recommend paying a bit extra to get a Junior Suite. I also recommend a hire car, as it is high up on a hill and some distance from Bellagio. They do run a shuttle bus into Bellagio.
Cons: The hotel is looking tired and the bathrooms could do with an update, however that hardly detracted from the overall feel of the hotel. The hotel caters for cyclists, so if you have an aversion to mamils (middle aged men in lycra) then be warned. Having said that, if I was a keen cyclist, I would definitely add this hotel to my list of cycling holidays.

Pros: Evening meals lacked variety.
Cons: Tripped over going into pool, due to large step down in front I had not noticed. No boarder, colour change. Didn't actually serve any purpose.

Pros: Location is excellent with brilliant views (although i'd suggest having a hire car) Onsite parking was safe and clean Breakfast was very good with options of continental and cooked eggs etc The pool and sunbeds were very nice - clean and tidy The hosts were excellent and even gave us a lift to the lake one afternoon! Room & the rest of the hotel was very clean, tidy and homely
Cons: At the time of travel is was quite hot (28 degrees C) the room didn't have air conditioning and was very hot at night. there was a ceiling fan which helped - without this it would have been terrible! The Room was quite small, we stayed for 4 days and had 2 suitcases which took up a lot of room. It would have been a struggle if we'd stayed for longer
