Pros: The grounds and rooms where very peaceful and nice.
Cons: Based on reviews we had expected a better breakfast. There was a nice bowl of a fresh fruit salad, but otherwise the offerings we typical of hotel fair breakfast food, such as cereal, yogurt, toast, juice and coffee.

Pros: The location is superb. One of the only places to stay in San Francisco that is not in Union Square or SOMA. Godsend.
Cons: Only two minor complaints: pillows are pretty high and firm, and the J-Train route is right out front so you hear it sometimes. Not a big deal though.

Pros: Great location, nice premises, helpful staff, generous breakfast and good coffee
Cons: Noise. Both from the street (street car and other traffic at 6:00 am on Sunday morning!) and inside (we could hear anybody passing by. At 11:00 pm we had to ask the receptionist who was chatting with a guest to lower her voice, because our room was right above it. Also, our room was quite expensive compared to other hotels in the area.

Pros: Great location in the heart of the Castro. Staff was very friendly and helpful when arriving. Plus, it's a very neat hotel.
Cons: It was a little loud (it's older, so it's not as 'sound proof' as newer hotels), but the hotel actually has pre-packaged earplugs in the bathroom. So, no worries there.

Pros: This is an old building with a lot of rooms, no soundproof. No A/C and no heating! 3 floors and no elevator. Slow WiFi connection. There is only 1 shower and 1 toilette per floor. Pros: Very cozy and nice but very old. Great windows and view. Very clean overall. Great facility and super cleaning service. This place has everything what you need and for that money I paid, this is unbelievable. It’s really a gift. I stayed there for 4 nights, and everything was amazing ! Location is absolutely safe and super ultra convenient. Stores , deli, loader stores, smoke shops, restaurants(even vegan restaurant was right next door), Chinese take out, Starbucks, barber shop, literally, EVERYTHING is right next door + a very safe and expensive area. Building it self was old but nice. I didn’t expect more, I actually expected less. I can’t believe I’m this deal.

Pros: Very cozy and nice but very old. Great windows and view. Very clean overall. Great facility and super cleaning service. This place has everything what you need and for that money I paid, this is unbelievable. It’s really a gift. I stayed there for 4 nights, and everything was amazing ! Cons: I got sick and still. So my flight back was awful at this point and I really feel bad. I had to cancel my photo shoot then it’s really sad. I dunno why but they turn heaters on when it’s warm (like evening) and Off at night ! This is really strange. It’s not supposed to be like that. It supposed to be ON when it’s cold and off when it’s warm. Especially in Northern California when climate range is so wide. (Very warm daytime very cold at night). Please, DONT DO IT and everyone will rate this place 10+.

Pros: It was a clean room in an old building in a party district. I felt safe and slept with the window open. The music downstairs was cool as we had been to hardly strictly bluegrass festival and were coming down off the good times and good music. It is right by a Bart station but we didn't use it. Having the bathroom and shower across the hall was not an issue.

Pros: This was a nice location. They moved me to a different room with a better view with no problem.
Cons: They originally had me in a room not overlooking market Street, as was in my booking, but they accommodated me with no problem the next day. But be careful what you wish for. Market has a trolley that sounds like an airport every 15 minutes or so and the morning sun comes in. It is definitely not a fancy place to stay. Also, all rooms share bathrooms, but there are quite a few bathrooms. I never had to wait for someone else to finish before i could use it.
