London hotels near Paddington Station

Pros: It is a beautiful hotel and I used the Willow Room 3 for work, for interviews, so it was very well appointed and having staff at the reception area at Forest Suites was very helpful. The staff were also very helpful and the food at the HOSPA conference was memorable.

Cons: I did like the breakfast but had to pay £25 on top of a room rate including vat of £314. It is a beautiful hotel but I think the breakfast should be included in the room rate especially for returning guests.

Pros: I find the facilities & staff are most welcoming, friendly & always available. I have been using this London Hotel for many years, in fact when it was called The Royal Lancaster Hotel. I do hope it will revert to that title in the future. Thank you to all for making me feel " @ home" while enjoying my stay.

Cons: I don't know why English hotels do stays without breakfast ! Look at how the Irish hotels do it. Adding breakfast at 30 pounds is a real turn off ! No buffet breakfast in the world could cost that to supply? Maybe look at this to be a little different.

Cons: Free Wi-Fi was really non-existent; at least in our room. Also, TV had only three channels, which we were not informed of on check-in. However the staff was apologetic and offered complimentary full breakfast for the inconvenience.

Pros: Location was perfect for us. The onsight eating facilties were very good. All the staff members were courteous and helpful. The rooms were gery comfortable and well tended to.

Cons: Just like most of the rest of the world, there's too much fast moving traffic everywhere.

Cons: The tv was difficult to use remote. Maybe a simpler version. Room was supposed to be a superior one. I saw no evidence of this. not enough toiletries. Beatutifully decorated in public areas, and toilets by meeting rooms were well furnished with soap & cream etc

Pros: The staff were incredible. The Guest Relations staff also decorated the room with a birthday surprise for my partner. The bed was comfortable and the room facilities were perfect.

Pros: I have stayed before and was not disappointed this time. The staff are attentive, solicitous and pleasant, the location is super-convenient for Paddington Station, and as a single female traveller I feel extremely secure. The price is excellent, given the location and the quality of the hotel, I will continue to stay here on future visits to London.

Pros: The rooms were nice and in great location.

Cons: We had a nasty sewage smell in our room and it was freezing. Heating wasn’t working. When I asked for someone to come have a look they didn’t and after half an hour I called them back and they said they would come up and move me and my fiancé. That took another 20 mins. We then changed room to the basement and the tv signal didn’t work. I could be bothered and me and my fiancé just went to sleep. Very disappointed as it cost me £169.

Cons: Small single bedroom in the basement, lots of noise coming from upstairs. Room very cold at night time. Nothing to see out the window, better keeping the curtains closed. I'm sure rooms on floors above are better.

Cons: The room was tiny. Bed was a single even though I'm pretty sure I requested a queen. Seriously... I haven't slept in a single bed since I was 10 years old. Totally overpriced for what you get. I could hear people talking in adjoining rooms and also could hear anytime they used the water. Street noise was also an issue. Overall I didn't get much sleep.

Pros: The room had a really nice bedroom, good wifi signal, the breakfast was very good and the personnel were all friendly, polite and try to be helpfull.

Cons: There was a big issue in the room with the temperature the first night. The balcony door frame was leaving very big empty space (more than 1cm) and all cold came into the room. This was noticed in the morning from us and was repaired later with some rubber, but it was unacceptable to pass unnoticed before our arrival. The hotel didn't offer any compensation for this issue. Even after fixing this, the room was still not as warm as it should, because all the balcony door and window frames were still allowing small portions of cold air to come in. Those frames deffinitely need a quality upgrade. Also, the air from A/C had a weird smell sometimes - not all the time.

Cons: As with every hotel if all the residents decide to have breakfast a half-hour before it ends then it can be a little busy but no big deal.

Cons: Bad WiFi Room Keys stopped working a few times Room service staff could be more flexible (we told them to come back in an hour, they simply skipped our room that day). Elevator is funky. While going down it won't stop at ground floor.

Pros: Great location, very close to Hyde park and tube station. Paddington station within just 8 mins walking distance. Rooms are very clean and modern.

Cons: Unfortunately, the room was quite small and not well ventilated. As a result, it was too hot. Opening a window was not an option as it was too noisy outside. Duvet was extremely heavy. Due to all of this, it was almost impossible to sleep. Bathroom was also tiny, which wasn't comfortable.

Pros: The Blakemore is an incredible hotel. It is extremely clean, beautiful in every way. Although the rooms and location were perfect- it's greatest asset is ira incredible staff- who were competent, polite, well-versed in their jobs, -and incredibly customer focused. It is a great hotel.

Pros: By far, it's location next to Paddington Station and the 15 minute shuttle service to Heathrow.

Cons: Check-in was unnecessarily slow. Reception desk staff seemed to be allowing random hotel guests (?) to jump the queue ahead of the long line of people waiting to check in. Some of these people had a lot of questions to ask the staff. Not cool.

Pros: The location was perfect for travel to the airport and access to the underground. Could not be better. Staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable.

Pros: I’m fairly well travelled, in fact I pretty much travel 5 days a week throughout the UK and EU for work. This is in addition to over 25 years travelling for work throughout APAC and the USA. THIS HOTEL IS APPALLINGLY BAD. Not just appalling, but off the charts appalling. If Hilton are passing this hotel off as their ‘brand’ they’re either drunk on the job or their standards have slipped to such a level that this.... this thing they’re calling a hotel passes the grade.

Cons: I hated everything about the property. I’ll start with the bleeding obvious. It’s about 30-40 years out of date. It’s tired, really, really tired. It shows, everywhere there is obvious signs of distress in the decor. Carpets are worn, scuff marks on every wall and corner, elevators that don’t work, basins that are cracked and showers that have the water pressure akin to having a cup of like warm water thrown over you. If you ever check into this hotel, and they give you the key to Room 635, run. Run as far and as quickly as you can. When a hotel charges you for WIFI you know you’ve either travelled back in time or you’re just the unfortunate victim of a hotel that has a primary goal to shake you down as often as they can during your stay. £7.95 to use the WIFI.... the mind boggles how anyone anywhere in the sales and marketing department of Hilton Paddington thought this was a good idea. When a hotel wants to ping you £3.50 for that plastic bottle of water they put beside your bed you know you’re being taken to the cleaners. A lovely start to the day was having housekeeping knock on my door at 8am to check on the room.... it wasn’t a long conversation nor was it a polite one. You can check on the room once I’ve checked out. Even trying to check out is difficult. A single staffer handling a long line of annoyed and impatient customers just wanting to get the hell out of there left me feeling trapped, do I have to book another night just to check out was a thought that crossed my mind due to the length of the line snaking it’s way through the shabby, worn and totally miserable experience that is the Ground Floor. It’s fairly accurate to say that I won’t be back...

Pros: Location was perfect and concierge was friendly and very helpful.

Pros: Lovely suite with comfy bed and nice ensuite, I liked the seperate lounge area upstairs with sofa and large TV.

Cons: I thought the terrace for my suite was a bit dissapointing, it looked better on the website and not much of a view, lots of building and cranes around. Most disappointed with breakfast in executive lounge, on the cooked side only sausages, baked beans and scrambled eggs to choose from, no mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns, fried or poached egg and unbelievably no bacon. It wasn't as though they had run out as there 1.5 hours before close, not good value when you have paid £536 for the night!

Cons: No swimming pool and not any very good restaurants within walking distance of hotel.
