The hotel was located really well for the tube stations, Bayswater and Queensway stations being only minutes from the hotel. The rooms were everything you needed for a weekend break and a nice bar.
There was nothing not to like! My husband and I stayed three nights and had a bit of an issue with noise of dripping water outside our room which was loud enough to keep my husband awake all night, but when we mentioned this at reception the following morning we were changed to a different room straightaway!
The room was clean and close to a nearby tube station. Staff were polite.
The room was in the basement and didn't have a window. Instead it had a wall light covering one wall which you could adjust the light.
I guess for London this represented good value for the location - close to Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park and 2 tube stations on the District and Central lines. Good luggage storage.
I don't consider a room 2 floors underground, even if it's bigger to be an upgrade! The ceiling was inches above my head. The next room we were given had a window but looked directly onto the back of a building, basically a light well. The room was really poorly designed. It had a fridge but it could only be opened a couple of inches before hitting the bed. No storage space for large suitcases. Very noisy exhaust fan whose switch was nearly 9 feet above ground and not labeled. USB ports that didn't work. Quoted 60 pounds for taxi to airport, mini cab place around the corner 40 pounds.
The room. Comforters. Staff in charge.
Tiny rooms great spot clean
Clean. Comfortable beds great location near 2 underground lines in a safe neighborhood.
Tony rooms, tint bathroom. Lack of hangers. Clips present but no hangers to go with them.
