Pros: I absolutely loved this hotel! It was something a bit different. Quirky decor, very trendy and the bedrooms, whilst fairly snug, were state of the art with a fantastic bed and great shower. Loved the mood lighting. I think what made the stay was the staff, who were fantastic! Enjoyed the early check in and the late check out. The location was great too. Will definitely use citizenM again.

Cons: The soundproofing was not as effective as they boast about. If you are happening to be staying on Saturday night do pack some foam earplugs, there is noise from a nearby nightclub going to be on till 6am.

Pros: This a delightfully modern property. The decor is so modern, at first it feels a little like an upmarket Ibis or something - until you realise it's packed with features such as a huge TV with the ports in a box on the wall for your device, a stone floor in the bathroom with underfloor heating, and electronically operated curtains. I didn't get to try it, but I was also impressed that such a central location had a spa and sauna at such a reasonable price.

Pros: The quality of staff was a hit or miss. Overall, there were only two staff members who impressed me. The night concierge was incredibly attentive. Although a young man, he was clearly overqualified. The night manager was highly reasonable and particularly helpful when I confronted any problems with my stay. He had very good customer service skills.
Another nice element was the provision of fruit every evening. It was a unique and memorable touch. The variety included persimmons, bananas, apples, oranges, and plums. That was very nice.
Finally, the room offered outlets adapted for international travelers.

6,7 Good
Pros: Staff were kind and helpful. Nearest tube station was just a short walk away. Check in and out was swift and easy.
Cons: Couldn't get the heating to work on the first night so was freezing. Mirror was peeling around the ages and shower screen was rusty at the bottom. Unit behind the sink was cover in water stains and was very visible when on the loo. Could have quickly been cleaned. Bathroom sink didn't have an option to close the plug which made it difficult for my one armed partner to wash his face. Fire alarm went off in our room for some reason too.

Pros:
Cons: Over priced.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: Room was very good. Spa was good. Breakfast was good. Staff very helpful.
Cons: Slight issue with room not being ready. Was invited to the premier area to have a free drink. However we were left in a room where businessmen were having a meeting and all of the drink sat in locked cabinets so,we couldn't have anything anyway. No-one came back to check on us so we left for the bar.

Pros: Good location, very clean. Much quieter than the other hotels in the area. Polite and friendly staff!

I didn't get to try it, but I was also impressed that such a central location had a spa and sauna at such a reasonable price.
Cons: My only negative experience was checking in around 8pm on saturday evening. The reception shares an acoustic space with the bar, and combined with the strong accent of the staff member on the desk it was very hard to understand what she was saying. I don't normally have any problems with hearing but this was a challenge.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: -The welcoming drink while queuing for check-in. -Well-equipped Gym for workout. -Good location -Spacious room and comfy bed
Cons: Bad sound insulation of the door. I was woken up by someone who kept knocking the door next to mine in the early morning (before 6am) !!
6,2 Good

Although a young man, he was clearly overqualified. The night manager was highly reasonable and particularly helpful when I confronted any problems with my stay. Another nice element was the provision of fruit every evening. It was a unique and memorable touch. The variety included persimmons, bananas, apples, oranges, and plums. That was very nice.
Finally, the room offered outlets adapted for international travelers.
Cons: The negative element of the stay included the inattentiveness of most staff members. There was a lack of polished professionalism that is instrumental to a quality hotel. It felt like an disjointed operation.
As for house keeping, I was unimpressed. The bathroom was not well cleaned, and it appeared the floor towel was repeatedly unchanged.
Although the room was constructed with high-end technology, it was poorly integrated. The technology was not particularly easy to use and added little value. The television would not respond to the controller. Further, the television sat above the desk, making use of the desk awkward. Also, there was no light above the desk and no desk lamp.
Finally, both the pool and gym were inaccessible at night and early morning. This can be inconvenient for business travelers. Still, the pool was impressive.
Overall, I was disappointed and would recommend looking into other hotels, such as Apex (where I had a more pleasant stay during a prior visit).

Pros: Breakfast was underwhelming. I don't think it is a place where people go because of the excellence of the cuisine, but probably the drinks are ok.
Cons: It was particularly loud over the weekend, with DJ sets and crowds drinking/dancing - I stayed at the 2nd floor and could hear the music. Moreover, every time I went downstairs to eat I found that every chair was occupied by locals using their computers. Perhaps the hotel has a very friendly internet policy, but it felt a lot more like a ' SHARED OFFICE SPACE' then a Hotel lounge.

Pros: The fact we could leave our luggage before we checked in was very handy.
Cons: Some off the staff were a little standoffish and could have been friendlier - but I guess that could just be London. Some signs to let us know where we could get breakfast would have saved us asking 3 different people who gave us a few different answers. Enamel mugs without handles to make hot drinks in that were left in the room - totally impractical.

Pros: We only stayed for one night for our anniversary. Staff had put one slice of cheesecake in our room which was nice of them. Interesting looking at cells hotel was very empty no real atmosphere.
Cons: After checking out I found out that some how my bank card was used to book a break in Amsterdam online and because I had not used the card anywhere else in London it must have been done at the reception of the hotel. I was refunded the money back into m y account by my bank but felt upset that someone would do this. Been told that some hotel staff are taking photos of credit card details and then using them so please be careful

Cons: Nothing but good feelings on our stay.
5,8 Okay
Pros:
Cons: For a 5* it was a very standard hotel could not sleep properly as could hear every other guest in their rooms even coughing there’s gaps at the bottom of every door we put the do not disturb sign up but still had cleaners knock there was hair in the shower and the sink had a massive crack in it so would not rate this as a 5*
7,5 Good
Pros: The staff were very nice and professional
Cons: We tried this place on a whim as our usual place recently changed hands. This hotel cost substantially more so we were expecting more. The description is misleading, the seperate seating area is simply a chair to even a sofa. A terrace suite simply over looks the rooftop bar. There is no protective mirroring on the glass so anyone in the rooftop bar can look straight in your room. No bath in a 5 star hotel. Took a £100 deposit for a mini bar that was completely empty. The options for a full English breakfast were limited, scrambled eggs only. Will not recommend and will not stay again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: the beds were amazing so was the spa and exercise facilities
Cons: The bar was pretty subpar.. terrible lighting and uncomfortable seats etc.. I had arranged a business casual meeting there and we ended up leaving. but when you are in Shorditch there are so many options.
I know that it is a small thing but at this level it is the details that make the difference, the fact that there was instant coffee in the room seemed to be an oversite.

Pros: Juan was super helpful, we decided on the day to drive and he met us at the car park and although we arrived before check in we were able to use the pool changing area to get ready for the wedding we were attending. The room was quiet and spacious the the toiletries very nice.

Pros: The decor, the space, the staff all very pleasant and helpful. Valet service was a great touch.
Cons: The room service was terrible, no calls answered, the bed wasn’t made, no towels even upon third request. Unfortunately we had no hot water at all between 6am and check out - not happy at all
5,0 Okay
Pros: Roof top bar when open
Cons: Please don’t stay at this Hotel! We had no hot water in our room for a morning shower, fair enough things go wrong, but the staff were unsympathetic, there was no manager on duty to sort things out. But worst of all the management will not acknowledge or reply to any of my emails. An apology would be nice!
5,0 Okay
Pros: The physical hotel and location
Cons: Extremely disappointed I’d booked this hotel as a birthday treat for myself and it was a big deal as I was leaving my 3 month old for the first time to have some well deserved me time. Unfortunately I was so shocked at the number of service issues at this hotel that during checkout I decided to raise this, my comments were passed onto the operations manager (Jerome) who committed to looking into the issue and getting back to me. Despite me chasing twice I never received the feedback which I feel sums up the service at the hotel! - The Hair dryer in the room was broken and we had to call twice and wait 20 minutes for a new one - We’d booked the room for 3 people however there were only 2 of everything e.g. towels, mugs, robes etc and we had to ask for extras - There was no one at spa so we had to go behind the counter and look for clean towels, robes and slippers as we were told we didn’t need to take them from our room and unfortunately the steam room out of order which we were not told about at check in - My friend had bought in a birthday cake for me and she was told this would be left in the room however it was not there so when she went looking it seemed to have been “misplaced” - Breakfast the next day was an absolute disgrace (which we paid extra for) and so many other customers were complaining also. Hardly any food was brought out so during the whole time at breakfast there were no beans, eggs or orange juice

Pros: Close to Old Street Tube station although you must get around the construction happening in the area. Convenient base from where to travel anywhere. Breakfast was abundant and filling and breakfast staff very helpful.
Cons: We stayed for 4 x days. The elevator worked intermittently during our entire stay but they did not place a board to prevent people from using it. When you use it you will just get stuck in the lift. Building is old and in desperate need of a facelift. Bed is so bouncy that it takes time to get used to when sleeping. Housekeeping not so good as they did not replace our coffee, milk and shower gel. Aircondition did not work.

There is no phone in the room, so you need to go downstairs and ask for whatever you need every time.

Pros: About the booking: it was easy, simple and clear about the hotel : it was possible to arrive before the scheduled time
Cons: Beware, dodgy hotel. Our room was visited while we were away and money diappeared. They offered us (after much insistence on our part for a solution) another room in an other hotel, which was absolutely filthy, noisy etc. they knew we were only staying one night so we were easy prey and no time to complain to the police etc.. be careful if you stay there.

Pros: Bedding/room very clean. Location was suitable for our purpose.
Cons: Reception staff were extremely unhelpful to the point of rudeness. They need to learn how to deal with customers in a friendly professional manner: make eye contact, speak up clearly, smiles would be nice too!

Pros:
Cons: I was told I would have a bottle of wine on arrival for my husbands 40 th birthday there was nothink. We was put in a loft room above the hotel very small. Without the lift working.Damp and mold in the bathroom and glass missing from the mirror. No flannel and towels very small. The room was very dusty and not clean spider webs on the window. And dust along the head board. At breakfast there was only a choice of two cereals , toast or fruit. And the toasters wasn’t working properly one had broken. And there was a charge of 15£ a day for the car park which wasn’t stated when I booked the stay. kids being allowed to run around till late at night shouting and slamming doors defently not value of money wouldn’t stay there again.

Pros: The staff was okay.
Cons: You may as well slept on the hallway. The floor was squeaky, the doors were squeaky. There were people knocking around, the bathroom was also making noises. Impossible to sleep. The room was dirty, I found drops of blood on the duvet. Our floor had a hole. Past midnight the toilet doesn't flush. Windows, halways everything you can see is dirty. The breakfast is also bad.
