Pros: Great staff, great location
Cons: Rooms had issues. Although well furnished & comfortable, the first room was above the subway so really disruptive until after midnight, with trains every few minutes, making sleep almost impossible. We asked to be moved & the second room was somewhat below ground level. The windows were set very high, they overlooked the air conditioning unit for the kitchen & therefore lacked any view, let alone natural light. I might stay at the hotel again but only if I could speak to reservations regarding the room.

Lovely touches given to my parents Golden wedding anniversary. They received a yellow rose, card and cake. Beautifully clean and spacious rooms. The hotel upgraded us on arrival.
Cons: On comparison to another hotel near by that i normally stay that costs £300 less per night to stay there. Few little things that were missing in the room that should've been topped up especially the expectation of a 5 star hotel. Breakfast tea bags were missing. The room i stayed in i was struggling to find the plugs they were located awkwardly behind the desk. Had to get on my hands and knees to plug the kettle and charger in. A dirty tray was left outside my door on a side board from another room and was there overnight to mid morning.

Room was old (it was clean) and not up to date for a luxury hotel.

Cons: I didn't like the perfume pumped through the air-con in the corridors and bedrooms. Infact we had to be moved as I suffer from asthma and it was effecting my breathing to a none perfumed floor (5) and room. The corridors are too dark, felt like a ship..

A stunning five-star luxury hotel overlooking the River Thames near Embankment recommended by Forbes Travel Guide and Cond Nast Johansens This majestic five-star hotel presides over the River Thames with outstanding views. From glittering chandeliers to contemporary design, this central hotel opposite the London Eye reflects a proud heritage. Enjoy the original tiled floors and discover a hotel with a secret past. Stay in the building that was once home and office to the first Chief of Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), Sir Mansfield Cumming, and now commemorated with an English Heritage Blue Plaque.

Pros:
Cons: Room was like a dungeon. Very disappointing.
6,3 Good
Pros: All the staff were great, very friendly and wanting to help.
Cons: I didn't like the room, we were given a disabled room with disabled fixtures and fittings in the bathroom, I didn't request this and wasn't informed about it, the first I new was when we got to the room. Paintwork flaking off of woodwork, split silicone sealant around sink area. Your average premier Inn room was better than this...….and much cheaper. Frosted secondary double glazing on the windows, absolutely no view at all, pull aside the secondary glazing to reveal the middle of the building, pipes, ductwork and filth everywhere (explains the frosted glass).
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The view of the Thames. Staff was so courteous and helpful. Location!
Cons: The bed was on rollers. It constantly moved.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Nothing good to say. Extremely disappointing
Cons: I was downgraded from a deluxe room to a standard room (essentially.a closet)and my compensation was a 14 £ cocktail. The following day the y transferred me to a deluxe room and despite two request to make sure there were no feathers in the room...
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location was great and the room very nice
Cons: The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Check in took forever. A welcome drink or water would have been nice since it was a very hot day in London

Cons:
5,0 Okay
Pros: The location is great.
Cons: Firstly I don’t like the service of the bell boy at the front gate. I have been to a lot of hotels including five stars but never have seen the attitude like the bell boys from that hotel. All are standing even though seeing the customer is taking luggages. Secondly I don’t like the attitude of front desks stuff. Already requested for an early check in as I have a meeting and I arrived the hotel at 2:30. It was half an hour before of that hotel policy to check in time. They won’t let me in until 3:03pm and said the room is not ready yet. Seeing the customer is waiting and sitting there for half an hour, they have no effort like asking the housekeeper whether the room is ready or no welcome drink at all. Thirdly, I don’t like the room. I booked a river view but the view of the window is so small and can’t even say it is a view. I am feeling my money for that view is not worth it. The room is so small and the hotel is very old. Fourth, the elevator is very old model 1000kgs type and very narrow. It was stopping once in every floor. Very disappointed to take that elevator. Fifthly, I stayed in that hotel at the raining day. The hotel is so old and so bad and even water drops are pouring drop by drop from the ceiling. I saw a bucket and it was collecting the rain drops in front of the elevator entrance of eighth floor. I was so shocked seeing the rain dropping from the ceiling. When I check about the hotel, it says “the Royal Horseguards” is a Five Star Hotel. I don’t know in what part it is being rated five stars. I will rate it not even a three star hotel.

Pros: Stayed in a king suite . View from the room was fantastic and the absolutely stunning at night. The room was spacious and comfortable with very nicely appointed furniture and bed. The bathroom with the heated floor was very nice surprise. Doorman was wonderfully welcoming, the bellboys were quick and helpful and the concierge was professional and always pleasant and patient.
Cons: I asked for an early check in which wasn't possible and I understood this. However, when I returned at the regular check in time, the receptionist without checking with anyone, insisted the room still wasn't ready. Had to ask for the manager, who after checking with housekeeping, found the room was ready. Receptionist was not happy at being contradicted and was less than pleasant for the rest of the check-in process. Not offered breakfast discount on check-in so would have paid substantially more if I hadn't found out about the discount by accident. Stayed two nights. Mini-fridge was not restocked the second day. Took 45 minutes to get a bucket of ice and then felt guilty for asking for it when we found out the poor guy doing room service was the only one on duty. Seems like the hotel needs to amp up the staff numbers to provide the five star service you're paying for.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location close to metro and Westminster abbey and Trafalgar Square.
Cons: Breakfast average. Expensive price per night.

Cons: The gym closed at 8:00 PM on the weekend and there was no possibility to use/borrow a yoga mat in my room. The room was not ready at check-in time -- I had to wait a couple hours longer. My room was located next to the alley so I woke from garbage collection noise otherwise the neighborhood was very quiet. The "24-hour" room service had limited options. The staff was a little disorganized at times yet were always pleasant and helpful.

Pros: Our stay at The Sanderson was perfect from start to finish. I called ahead to let them know that we were coming to stay for my boyfriend's birthday. From upgrading us to a huge, gorgeous room to delivering balloons, flowers, candles, and birthday treats, they truly went above and beyond to make it an amazing weekend. We can't wait for our next visit!

Pros: This was our 2nd stay at Marriott County Hall in less than a year. I love the location of this hotel. I always like my room with the river view and the views of Parliament and Big Ben (although it's been shrouded in scaffolding). The staff are very accommodating, professional, helpful and kind. The breakfast is good--gets you well fueled for your day of exploring and touring. The rooms are well appointed, comfy beds, good temperature controls and amenities. excellent water pressure in a super clean big bathroom. Love having after-touring nibbles and drinks in the bar.

Cons: At arrival they didn't find our reservation with our surnames very fast. We have to show them the email. They invited a glass of wine to other guests but not to us -maybe because we were with toddlers?- not very nice.. The bathroom didn't have a little chair. Pros: EVERYTHING WAS WONDERFUL. THEY TOOK SUCH GRACIOUS CARE OF EVERY NEED. MY HUSBAND IS 93 AND USES A WALKER. THEY BUILT TWO RAMPS FOR HIM TO HAVE EASY ACCESS. THEY ASSISTED WITH FRONT STAIRS WHEN WE CHOSE TO EXIT FOR A TAXI TO TAKE US WHEREVER. BUT THEY ALWAYS ALLOWED FOR HIS DIGNITY. THIS TOUCHED MY HEART. HIS TOO. THANK YOU, SOMEHOW SEEMS INADEQUITE TO EXDPRESS OUR APPRECIATION. PLEASE LET STAFF KNOW THAT THEY HAVE BECOME OUR "GO TO" RESIDENCE IN LONDON. BEST REGARDS, CHERIE M DUNN
Cons: NOTHING
7,1 Good
Pros: The location is excellent and it is in a very quiet street in London. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable with lovely linen and pillows.
Cons: No electric jug or milk to make a cup of tea in your room. Having flown 36 hours I was very frustrated to be denied a jug of hot water by reception and told to use the coffee machine which proved to be faulty. Upon my return to reception I was finally given a jug of hot water to take back to my room. Several of the lights were not working in the room. The hotel is tucked away from the main traffic noise but the floor boards are extremely squeaky so if your neighbours are up and about you will know about it. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor, very poorly designed and as you are stepping out of a bath it can be very slippery, would not be suitable for less agile guests.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The hotel is situated right in the heart of central London. The bellman was well train, polite and can remembee every small detail of the guest. The room decoration is pretty nice.
Cons: On the moment we checked in, I raised the ac is quite warm and the staff said the ac works just be patient. So I went out for and got back to the room at late night, AC didn't work. It was even worse. We cant breath in the hotel room. Hence, we asked the staff to change the room and the staff at reception said every rooms in this hotel was fully booked. I should have raise this up since the beginning (which I did). The staff said the AC doesn't work the whole floor. They've been trying to fix it but since it's late at that moment so they will fix it on the next day. However, for some reason they managed to get us moved to the new room. But they actually downgraded our room, the room is smaller, Restroom is half size when compared to the room we got at the beginning. They insisted it's not downgrade and they charged us the same amount of money.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Convenience location and history of this hotel
Cons: Ras
7,5 Good
Pros: Loved the room although this was only because the air con had broken down and they gave me a suite with balcony’s so I could get some air in the room
Cons: The bar was to small
4,6 Okay
Pros: location / rooms
Cons: aircon not working and it was a heatwave. moved to a smaller air conditioned room on second day -- no discount given for lesser room and US aircon! had to ask for portable fans / so called portable aircon unit provided (which was in fact a evaporative cooler -- hopeless.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, and really lovely staff. It was our 10th Anniversary and we had a lovely surprise in our room when we got back from exploring the city. Thank you so much for the champagne that was a lovely touch.
Cons: Nothing to be honest

Pros:
Cons: The wait time for everything was exceedingly slow. A food order could take over 90 min for delivery.
The rooms were not sound proof you could here every person who walked by and what they were saying.
The staff were not trained for a hotel of that price.
The breakfast selection was mediocre and the same everyday for the 9 days I was there. The hotels decor is old and outdated. It was difficult to even have a bottle of water delivered.
The food was less and average.

Cons: Having requested a walk in shower it took a while on arrival to find the premises has none. Likewise it took a while to find out that the Hotel has no feather pillows - this was important as some pillows felt like feathers. Hand rails at the entrance steps were sadly lacking. I'm not sure that preserving the character of the original building is a good enough excuse for this. Disability access is important these days.

Pros: Location is amazing close to Trafalgar Square and the Tube lines (Charing Cross and Embankment Station). The staff were really good even though I got some negative vibes from one after I made complaint around air conditioning breaking down and how it was handled.
Cons: I had room 112 (17-21 Sept) which had tired decor and non functioning air conditioning. Air con had broken down which they had to then switch off for the whole building (which happened after a recent repair) and would be non functioning for another 2 weeks (according to them). Staff provided a fan AND portable air con unit which made the room just survivable. It’s an old building which needs work. My impression is that the hotel group is milking profit from the location and using it for staff training. The staff I encountered were doing their best with great attitudes but clearly no real accountability or ownership with front desk managers coming and going on a daily basis. Almost felt a sense that they knew the building is working against them and having to deal with grumpy customers for a day to develop better service skills.

Pros: Great location (just off Trafalgar Sq. and 2 mins walk from the tube station); room is big by London's standard and the price; reasonable facilities
Cons: The room smelled a bit when I first moved in, especially the kitchenette, either it got better later or I got used to it. Linens were not changed during my stay (3 nights), but you sort of expect that with a serviced apartment. I would be better if we were told how often they change though.

Pros: Spotlessly clean, recent updated rooms.
Cons: The rooms are tiny. I stayed here a year ago and the old style room was fairly spacious (for London). This room was tiny... To call it Deluxe is a bit of a stretch. I'm 5'10" and could lay down touching both walls. I tried this. It was easy!!!
7,9 Good
Pros: The hotel staff were nice and helpful. I asked them how to get from the hotel to the airport and they even sold me the train ticket I needed.
Cons: • The bed was incredibly hard. It was like sleeping on the floor. My back hurt all the time. • The bathroom has no door which means that if you have air conditioning on in your room, and you take a shower you will be very cold when you get out of the shower. It also means that if you pee the whole room smells like pee. • The shower is built in such a way that if you move around too much, water starts getting out of the shower and into your floor. It is very modern and pleasing to the eye, but not very practical. • The hotel must be under construction, because every morning starting from 6am I heard sounds of people building and hammering. • While I was in the shower the last day of my stay the cleaning staff tried to enter my room at 8:30am which isn't that late. Thank god I had let the emergency lock on the door. Otherwise the cleaning staff would have seen me naked in the shower. • The Wi-fi is pretty bad.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff especially in the reception area . Fantastic central location near to tube station
Cons: Our room was in dire need of a lick of paint . Decor very tired looking . Very small rooms . 4 small lifts servicing 12 floors . Steep steps from front door to main reception . Hard for a disabled person .

Pros: Location. Close to london Theatres and Covent Garden and Oxford Street. Very quiet room on 7th floor. Breakfast was OK although very busy.
Cons: Very small shower room.

Pros: Pretty close to main attractions, breakfast was very nice.
Cons: Breakfast would of been better with option of fried egg as only scrambled on buffet. Mushrooms would of been good too.

Pros: Breakfast being buffet style so take whatever you can eat is great though more choice on eggs other than being scrambled such as fried or poached would be lovely. Within walking distance of the train station and West end theatres this is very handy to stay at. Price is very reasonable.
Cons: Had virtually no sleep due to noise from outside of what can only be described as road rage taking place. This went on continuously for well over an hour. Then noise from bin lorries, after that building work lorries and sounds banging around. I know this was out of the control of the hotel but still you would expect the double glazed windows to block this out at 6th floor up but it didn't.
6,3 Good
Pros: The property was in perfect location for what we needed
Cons: Didn’t enjoy breakfast, sausages were burnt, fatty bacon , not much choice of cereal, no granola, also very small dining area. And the room we stayed in was also very small barely room to walk around the whole of the bed, and bathroom tiny!!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: highly efficient, staff are attentive in check-in desk ; key drop-off / pick-up ; luggage storage ; breakfast seating
Cons: the water bottle stuck in vending machine ; i visited 4 different floors, in order to find vending machine has no water bottle stucked.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Superb location and great breakfast. Early housekeeping.
Cons: Room facing street is too noisy at night. Quite a small room, don't hv enough space to put 2 luggages
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: The location was grate, stuff was ok.
Cons: A terrible experience! The room is so small that there is no air. no air conditioner, no heating, TV not working. At this hour we had to settle for what was. When we asked if the order could be canceled, they said we would be charged the full price. The staff, especially the receptionist girl who treated us were not at all welcoming. We felt they were doing a favor that they even unser to me . The room was filthy, no linen was changed from the day we arrived. The room is so crowded that two suitcases cannot fit together, but can only be on each other. Reasonable breakfast .Except for the location, i really do not recommend getting close. Not worth the grief. If you are average weight people and above, you can't even breathe in the shower. There is no room for two people with suitcases. Just don't! We skipped from one side of the room to the other by walking on the bed. If you need air, don't come to this hotel.

Pros: Have stayed many times and will return
Cons:

Pros: Cost, Location, cleanliness, refreshment tray, hairdryer in room and room safe. Very close to the Dominion Theatre for those attending shows there.
Cons: Queue to check in, very slow lifts - there are 4 but we never had two opening at the same time and this meant a lot of time waiting for them to arrive and when they did they were often full. I would prefer a larger bath towel.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: When I needed a safety pin, housekeeping came up straight away which was awesome!
Cons: Lack of consistency, no hand towel or soap for a few days of my stay.
