Pros: Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff. Loved our room. Very comfy and clean. Car parking an added bonus

Cons: Not easy to reach room. Not really a complaint tho as it’s the nature of the property. Eijkman be nice to have complimentary water in the room. Towels very small

Cons: Some Areas a bit shabby and our room was extremely small, I had to move the desk chair to get past the bed.

Cons: I lived in the area of the hotel for 19 years and had recently moved away from the district. We had booked into the hotel on a visit back to visit friends, on check in we were greeted from the reception staff and after they had discussed something on their screen they gave me a key to a room. Entering the room we almost straight away decided we were not going to stay in there. The room had food and toe nails on the floor by the bed. Let's say the reception wasn't to surprised to see me, after explaining about the room they mumbled something about the room maid. We were the given another room which was similar but clean. Around 6.00 am we were woken by the sound of beeping, we had been given a room outside the service entrance and a busy car park. I decided not to mention this and tried to spend as little time as possible in the hotel. After all the years driving past the hotel which looks grand from the outside its was such a disappointment. I won't be staying at the Clarendon again and wouldn't recommend the place to anyone. I actually run a B&B and i would never treat my guest to such awful accommodation. The breakfast was buffet style and not that great. I payed £505 for 4 nights for such accommodation it wasn't worth half that. Keep clear of the Clarendon

Pros: Excellent breakfast choice including fish to order. Friendly waiting staff who were also efficient.

Cons: Road noise at front of hotel, although the view of the Heath was lovely.

Pros: The location is brilliant as a base for visiting London. The staff are brilliant, very friendly, the hotel food and bar is great, an all round fantastic few days in London all made the better by staying at the Clarendon, top Mark's!

Pros: The location was very good looking out on to a heath. The staff in the dining room in the evening were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: Very poor reception by the receptionist when we arrived. Asked for directions to our room. Given very vague directions which actually didn't mean anything. I had to ask again. I had 2 pieces of awkward luggage to manage on my own. I was offered no help. The room: Bed badly made had to strip it and make it myself before we could get into it. etc etc. I showed the manager what I was not happy with. We were given a full refund.

Pros: Friendly staff breakfast was really good. Ample car parking.

Cons: Internet connection was poor. Quite a lot of stairs after lift.

Cons: our room was at the back of the hotel so no view but our daughter and son in law had a beautiful view over the heath..

Pros: The free breakfast had with hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereals, etc. The staff was nice and helpful! There are limited toilets and showers, but I didn't have a problem since not too many people seemed to be there. Only thing is that there's definitely not enough sinks. Showers were great and hot.

Cons: Out of management control, but some guy pissed in the showers while I was getting ready for bed ... wear your flip flops.

Pros: The staff was incredibly friendly, they gave me a towel for free because I was staying for so many nights. Any time there was an issue it was solved immediately. Met a lot of great people staying at the hostel. The bar was low key and the beer/cider was relatively cheap. The pool table was great for something to do when everyone was winding down for bed. The whole place was cleaned every day, the cleaning ladies were very nice. It was cheap and close to a national railway station, an overground station, and a docklands light railway station. If you stay here, definitely get an oyster card! I really enjoyed my stay!

Cons: The pictures are a little deceiving, the place is a little disheveled. The chairs and tables in the bar are in various states of falling apart. The water had to be shut off for an hour in the middle of the day when there was a leak that went from the toilets upstairs, through a room, and down into the kitchen area. They felt really bad and gave those of us that were there a free beer. The situation was dealt with very quickly. One morning the toilets were out of order upstairs, so you had to go downstairs. When I came back a couple hours later the situation was dealt with. The neighborhood is a little bit of a trek from downtown London. You've got to take at least two trains to get to the real sight seeing stuff. It's also a little rough as a neighborhood, but I never had any issues staying there for 10 days.

Pros: The fact that the hostel is right on the doorstep of where I am working this week. Great that it is also a pub - now I know where to go for an after work beer!

Cons: The cleanliness of the bathrooms could be improved.

Pros: Staff were very helpful the whole place was kept clean at all times of the day. The beds were comfortable the whole place had a good friendly atmosphere. Total value for money.

Pros: It is a bit complicated to get to the hostel, it requires 3 metro changes from the centre. That's the only thing. The area is quiet. The staff is super nice! I really liked the blinds you can put around your bed, so there is some feeling of privacy. Great value for money. I would definitely recommend if you are staying in London for few nights!

Pros: Great place, the staff and locals are very friendly and made the stay very welcoming. The Caribbean food from the kitchen was fantastic. Will definitely stay again.

Cons: High bunk with no access to climb, apart from over top of others

Pros: Pillow was comfy. There was a bar downstairs with tables , chairs, chouches. Close to trains as well. They had a microwave and fridge. Beds had a little curtain you could pull for privacy. They have lockers as well, just have your own lock.

Cons: Have to pay for breakfast. No separate bathrooms for males and females.
