Pros: The room size for the suite was perfect!
Cons: The food is not that great. Specially the dinners.
7,4 Good
Pros: Loved the beach and location. Also most of the staff were very nice and helpful. Showers were huge and very nice. Taxis from the airport cost like $40 but should cost maybe $20.
Cons: Ocean view=barely if any ocean view. Food mostly verrry mediocre/gross. Rooms very uncomfortable. Plastic over matress makes you sweat. No wifi in the rooms. Just when your outside. Other all inclusives ive been to have ppl bring you drinks. Here you had to keep getting up to get them.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: great staff, great pool, great location, good food
Cons: they allow smoking in the restaurant by the pool and there were many heavy smokers - ruined the experience of dining in the lovely restaurant; they should ban smoking in all restaurants and in the lobby as well.
5,3 Okay
Pros: Quiet during the week but very busy on weekend with local guests. Many families.
Cons: The hotel rooms have a mold problem that affected both my husband and my lungs. Nietyher of us have serious lung health issues but if we did this would be a big problem. The ceiling in our bathroom had visible mold. We stayed in two separate rooms, both smelled moldy. Our friends also talked about mold smell in their rooms. The beds are unusually hard and had rubber mattress protectors that were very uncomfortable. Beds need upgrading.

Pros: Great location, long, clean beautiful beach with warm water. All staff always had a friendly greeting and smile. Exceptional cheerful service at the lobby bar from Sergio and Marco!! Two very fun amigos who need to be commended!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: In Ixtapa there are a line of hotels along the same beach offering the same wonderful views. The Park Royal excels by offering truly warm and caring service. You really feel welcome. This is a family friendly resort
Cons: For a family friendly resort the night club is quite noisy and can be heard in all of the ocean view rooms until at least 2 am. Disappointing.
6,8 Good
Pros: Thought the Food was good. Not excellent but good. The pool was decent, always an area to sit. Great spot on the beach. Close to the shopping center and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good english speakers.
Cons: Our room was in a bit of dis-repair. AC only cools to a point, and the humidity stayed in the room for the most part. The bathroom was in need of a lot of fixing. We always had water on the floor. AC leaked condensation the first day and puddled on the floor. Mold on the ceiling and doorway for the bathroom. Very strong chemical smells from cleaning and also painting in the halls. The music that plays in the evenings at the Disco and the live music earlier is very loud for anyone with a Garden View Room. Goes until about midnight.

6,7 Good
Pros: The rooms are large and clean !
Cons: Bar near the pool closed early , food was ok. Not the variety that I’ve seen at other hotels/resorts. Staff was ok . Some of the staff insists terribly to talk to the timeshare company . They don’t take no for an answer. Staff made a big deal about the internet in the rooms. Found a hair in the pozole pot on our first night. 10,0 Excellent
Pros: everything
5,8 Okay
Pros: The location is right in the middle of the beach.
Cons: The buffet was average. The pool was crowded and didn’t look clean. The beds were too soft. Our room was above the kitchen and the smells were horrible especially after getting a stomach bug. They only served light beer. The towels looked like they were from 1980. No room service. The whole place just looked dirty.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Just the location and the beach!
Cons: Customer service sucks! The food is low quality, the hotel facilities are and look so old and lack maintenance. We will never come back here. Please, don’t recommend this place!

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Room and view
6,0 Good
Pros: breakfast was ok, much the same everyday
Cons: access for wheelchair was poor, even for access to dining area could not get to the beach as the ramp was to steep
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The private beach is exceptional, and the breakfast buffet is a great touch. The ocean views were a favorite as well.
Cons: There was some noise in the halls at night from other guests and also the advertisements from the hotel. Some services were sub-par like the ice machine and laundry, but in the end I always got what I requested.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Best part is the staff (all departments). Excellent food overall. Great property and love that it is in effect a private beach.
Cons: Have to go off property to enjoy "night-life" although that's not why we chose this hotel.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Beds were comfortable.
Cons: Asked to be in quiet room but music from.a wedding kept us up.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the private balcony and the private beach.
Cons: Dress code in Italian restaurant.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous location - beautiful views, excellent service and staff and pool.
Cons: The food selection is ok, could be better. Also we had a room on 19th floor, one floor above lobby and the loud music at night could easily be heard in our room - on 2 out of 5 nights, lasting after 10 pm.
7,0 Good
Pros: Amazing staff!
Cons: Our room had mold and the air conditioning stunk really bad. They need to have ice available on each floor in a hot climate like Ixtapa!
5,8 Okay
Pros: THE BEACH
Cons: the food......the stairs
6,0 Good
Pros: Bed & pillows
Cons: Hard to get ice, too far from town
9,0 Excellent
Pros: There was a LOT to love about our experience at Las Brisas. The building itself was a unique and interesting layout. Everything everywhere was absolutely spotless. Almost every single staff member I interacted with was very helpful, &professional.
Cons: The ridiculous TOWELS “reserving” beach and pool seating. That were of course left empty for hours. Every single day! Put a SIGN UP telling people to stop it. And enforce it! FIRST COME , FIRST SERVE!!!
8,0 Excellent
Cons: Distance to Playa and pool. Walk to Plaza.

8,5 Excellent
Pros: Staff were amazing !!!! Loved the view and the pools . It’s so clean ! Food was great .
Cons: Very poor wifi and hard beds
7,4 Good
Pros: You can walk to the beach, town and restaurants. The view was beautiful. The staff was friendly and professional.
Cons: The hotel needs a facelift. My air conditioner quit and I had to move to another room. One day only hot water in the shower. Hair dryer smelled like it was on the verge of burning up. All problems handled promptly, but should not be happening. Everything a little dated.
6,2 Good
Pros: The staff is fantastic, professional and so friendly. And the place is well run, no complaints there. Good food too!
Cons: Ok, so I get it, people booking through aggregators are not their ideal customer, so no wonder they put you in their worst room. But I can still review them based on that room, which honestly, no one should ever be put in, AC compressors running all night long on the other side of the wall. The room we were moved to the next day after complaining was better, but still quite noisy (laundry starts up at 8am). If you like quiet, this is not the place for you, unless you can get one of their better rooms. Cleanliness was to mexican standards. No problem for me, I'm used to it, but in my opinion quite shoddy for the price paid, I would expect resort level spit and shine for 77 bucks USD a night.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and facilities were excellent. The staff were friendly and very helpful and you could tell they liked their job and wanted to be there.
Cons: Many patrons were regulars and return to this hotel annually, but they would often hoard the lounge chairs by the pool. They would get up early and place towels on the chairs then leave and go for breakfast etc, so that there weren’t any chairs available to sit by the pool but many were empty with towels. If you moved a chair or towel to use it the patrons would be snooty about it! Not everyone was like this.
6,0 Good
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: No elevator.
7,0 Good
Cons: Hotel is on a hill and our room was on a high floor. We were on foot, so lots of climbing!
5,0 Okay
Pros: This is an older hotel in a spectacular location. The staff and basic facilities were wonderful. My parents remember it fondly from the days when they were able to climb all those stairs.
Cons: Anything more than basic facilities was missing: essentially no wifi, almost no water provided, no coffee-maker or fridge. The room did not even have a chair, and the ones on the balcony were only useful for 1/2 the day because there were no awnings on the balconies. Although the pool, bar and restaurant were good and there are 2 large sundecks (with spectacular view), there were very few lounge chairs or umbrellas so it was often impossible to enjoy this space. The hotel has recently made a dramatic increase in rates, and given the extremely "cheap" facilities I would strongly advise that you spend the money elsewhere.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fine. The service was great.
Cons: Wi-fi needs a lot of work.
7,0 Good
Pros: In 5 years, your price has doubled,(we have stayed 3 times at Irma) but nothing else has changed to warrant this high price now. You need to do these things: 1. GET RELIABLE INTERNET THROUGHOUT, 2. MORE Umbrellas/shade by the pool, 3. CHAIR in the room 4. COFFEE MAKER IN THE ROOM 5. Mini- fridge in the room. 6. MAKE BETTER MARGARITAS from scratch and not from that horrible sweet mix. These are the things I really think you need to do because EVERYONE was complaining about these items. If you are going to charge more then please put some money back into the hotel. I won't stay again because I can stay across the street where they have kitchens, good internet and a pool for $60/night.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: small fridge in rooms would have made things more enjoyable
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff The rooms were kept very clean We can't wait to go back

Pros: Lots of various dishes available for breakfast. The French toast was delicious.
Cons: To book for the specialty restaurants you had to join a long line-up at 9.00 AM and you could only book for the same day.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and food options
Cons: Had to stand in line daily for restaurant reservations. Should be able to make them all at once or need no reservations. Do not require long pants for men at dinner. Need cooler air conditioning!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Really couldn’t wait to write this review given that we are currently at the Barcelo in Ixtapa and have been for the past seven days with a few more days to go. This is our fourth time staying at the Barcelo in Ixtapa 20 years. We have also stayed at four other resorts here in Ixtapa near the Barcelo. We keep coming back to the Barcelo. Put simply – you get what you pay for. The Staff here are excellent - pleasant, friendly, well appointed and helpful. It is difficult to highlight any particular staff member given their excellent attention to customer service. However, two staff members stand out with necessary attention. The Director of food and beverage services manager, Alejandro Monroy and Raul at the front reception Center. The food services manager is constantly present (and pleasant) ensuring the food is both fresh, full of variety, plentiful and with pleasing presentation. Raul at the front desk speaks both English and Spanish fluently. He has an awesome sense of humour and supurb attention to quality customer service. Please do look them up when you come for your visit to the Barcelo in Ixtapa! Finally, if you are taking a taxi or bus to Zihuatanejo which is only approximately 5 miles from Ixtapa, please do drop into the restaurant called Elvira. It is near the beach and serves excellent food with cold beer! Say hello to Leonardo who is approaching his 80s and is still selling vanilla and excellent cigars after 20 years! He is located right in the restaurant.
Cons: Nothing to not like.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I had the premium package. With this package I was able to make an early check in and late check ou. Choice of excellent drink in a private lounge or at bars. Bottled wine, towel change twice a day, sea view, choice of priority restaurant. Beds are very confortables. The food is good. Excellent Italian restaurant. Japanese restaurant .. ok nothing more BBQ restaurant ... well ... Mexican Fiesta .. Great atmosphere, food .. ok Buffet, large choice plus lots of vegetables and salad. Pools is hot, and there is a lot of activity on the site. In 2 words, it's a nice place.
Cons: The room is a bit dated, however the bathroom has been redone, therefore and up to date. From the bedroom (I was on the 11 floor # 1128) we can hear the music from the entrance hall. I recommend asking for a room at the ends of the hotel

Pros: This place has it all. Great food, great staff, the beach loungers are shaded and comfy, and it’s right by the best restaurants across the street. I don’t normally stay at resorts but if you want to do all inclusive this is the place. Even if you don’t it’s still great value. The breakfast buffet is amazing! Definitely going back here again. Only thing that I would like to see upgraded is the wifi... but you’re supposed to be in vacation, not your devices right. Gracias Emporio!!
Cons: Not much, other than the wifi did not work well in most areas.
6,0 Good
Pros: Beds were nice
Cons: The fact that we couldn't relax around the pool because all seats were reserved only with a book or filpflop at 5 am all day everyday and we were there 8 days we will never stay there again.
7,0 Good
Pros: we really enjoyed the beach. the hotel bar was very nice and the overall property was good.
Cons: there where a lot of children there no fault of the hotels but we were not aware that there would be so many young kids in the pool. our fault for not checking that out ahead of time....
6,0 Good
Pros: I liked that it was centrally located, loved our king size bed and mattress.
Cons: Didn't like the front desk service, pool rules were not enforced.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: Wish I had known there was going to be a coffee maker and microwave, along with dishes and a kitchen sink. But it was still very handy to have it. I liked the Emporio better than Krystal or Fontan.
Cons: There was no balcony on our room, which I thought was unusual, but I'd wouldn't have traded the kitchenette for a balcony, so I was very satisfied.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very Family, very Mexican. Authentic and fun. Great location.
Cons: All good
4,0 Okay
Pros: Location was nice and very accessible
Cons: Too many issues....construction going on without notification, condensation issues, dirty linens

Pros: Everything was conveniently located. The hotel put on a big turkey Christmas Eve dinner on Dec 24 for everyone outside. Mostly Large Mexican families were spending their Christmas at this hotel so Dec 24 was the biggest presentation of food. Dec 25 Christmas was a buffet style meal in the restaurants. Lots of food as well. Santa arrived at noon on Dec 25 by parasail. Lots of fun for the children. All children age 10 and under received a gift. Christmas and all the festivities were well done.
Cons: We were in the old tower where there are elevators necessary to get to your room. We had no balcony which was ok but our biggest complaint about our room was there was no place to hang a wet bathing suit. No hooks were in the shower itself and no retractable clothes line. We ended up using the towel bar on the outside of the shower because there was a floor drain nearby. Not an ideal solution because we needed to use a towel on the floor to contain the dripping water.
4,0 Okay
Pros: The beach, the room. There were good massages a mile down the beach, but massages at the hotel were more expensive than at home.
Cons: Food was oversalted, institutional. Couldn't get fresh coconuts or coconut milk (in the tropics!!!). Very loud programs until late at night.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Good location.
Cons: No hot water in any of the three rooms we booked, only one shampoo bottle per room, mediocre food in the all inclusive plan.
1,0 Poor
Pros: The fiesta Mexicana night, it was nice. The bar area to relax at by the pool. Also, the easy access to the beach.
Cons: The worst was the front lobby staff. My son's phone was stolen and they "pretended" to make a report about it. We went to the front desk multiple times in the next 3 days to get the report and they kept giving us the run around. We had to get upset with them in order for them to do something, and when we finally got a report paper, we were told to fill it out, and when we were about to leave with it my son was literally attacked by the security guy and the paper was snatched right out of his backpack. The manager was called, and he was at least nice about it and made them re-do the report and give it to us with all of their signatures. We finally got out to the pool since it was going to be our last day there, and about 30 minutes later my son went back to the room to get his sunglasses and there were 3 people in the room searching for "inventory" since the cleaning lady had already been there. He asked them what they were looking for and they just scurried out of the room quickly. We went back to the front desk to ask why there were 3 people in our room and were told that there were searching for inventory. I believe they were searching for the report they didn't want to give us. The stay we had here was the worst experience I have ever had, and we travel very frequently. The food was always the same and the staff was less than mediocre. We only went here because our family members told us that we would love the Mexica fiesta night, but we will NEVER EVER go here again and have already advised several people NOT to go here when they were booking their vacation.
6,3 Good
Pros: The only place with room availability
Cons: All inclusive, crowded, no adult pool, no sufficient parking, no hot water for our morning shower, and all restaurants closed due to fiesta Mexicana.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The food
Cons: The pools were small and dirty
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location and Beach were amazing. Palapas are probably the best of all resorts on Playa Del Palmar.
Cons: Food was average at bests. No refrigerators in rooms was very disappointing.

Cons: Air conditioning was a bit loud so bring earplugs
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing, every single staff member went above and beyond and were so friendly! The pool area was fantastic- very clean, food and drinks right there. Room was large and clean- loved the ocean view. Will be back again.
Cons: Only thing I didn't love was the music played until 11pm every night. You can't go to sleep before that. Otherwise no complaints.
7,0 Good
Pros: Great location right on the beach. Friendly staff
Cons: No wifi in room despite front desk staff saying it was working. Construction on my floor despite it being a deluxe ocean front room. Initially did not have my reserved room type but did provide me the correct type eventually. No coffee or filters in room
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Food was great. Never had a bad dish during the stay. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Cons: The bed was hard and the hotel could use renovations.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Balconies in every room. Pool very nice. Staff friendly.
Cons: Loud music until 12:30 am one night.
4,2 Okay
Pros: The location only.
Cons: Booked months ago for a two week stay based on reviews. Checked in, room was awful, patio door did not lock, called the desk, they sent someone up, he screwed the door shut so it would not open now, asked if he could leave the screwdriver so we could open it if we wanted air, he said no. Packed up, went to desk and asked to be moved, they put us in another room with one small bed, it smelled musty, the toilet did not flush properly. Tired after travelling all day, gave up and went to bed. Packed up in the morning and asked to check out early, they said they could give us a better room, too little, too late. Gave us a refund for 13 nights and we left, will not ever go back to any Krystal Resort. Credit card company called me, my card was compromised do they cancelled it, several attempts had been made using my card in Mexico. The Krystal was the only place I had used my card.
7,9 Good
Pros: Location midway along the beach is good; pools are good with lots of room for everyone, bar guys work hard and mix good drinks. Marcos at the front desk/check in gets 4 Stars for service.
Cons: This property is getting a little old and needs to be updated.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The bell boy was the only friendly staff member.
Cons: Our bedroom was not available when we arrived even though he reserved months ago. We had to wait forever. No staff member was friendly other than the bell boy. Pool security was super rude. The bedroom mirror was stained the bathroom has a foul smell. The ac was the only good thing. The tv had few channels and the remote control did not work. No parking space either
7,0 Good
Pros: I already said above.
Cons: We really enjoyed ourselves. It would be nice if there was a swim up bar. Also a bigger area with there's no kids and have it be separate from the other pool. Unfortunately in the middle of the night the sink in the bathroom blew a pipe and water started running. Luckily my husband knew what to do. We called the front desk, they were quick to help. They did come but asked to fix it in the morning because it was too late. Unfortunately the electrical outlet in the bathroom was not working. It would have been nice to have a refrigerator in the Room. We really enjoyed the continental breakfast we had and the staff was very nice.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The ocean view was great!
Cons: The food could be better, they seemed short of help and they offer different packages so you have to wear a band and the poor workers had to chase around the people for signatures on their bill; they need a better system.
