Pros: It’s new; not fully break in in all aspects. But least it’s at basic four season standard. It has potential to improve when staff become more experienced. The spa over all design and jet pool implementation are top of the world in light usage category. I mean number of concurrent user and work load. The pump do not have self cool off timer so it can’t be used continuously for extended time. The heritage I room is grand and super comfortable and functional. Luxury. The food at all day dining provide excellent selection and quality and still within very reasonable price. Hard to find in London.

Cons: You cannot open any windows even I the rooms look Inside the building , so no fresh air which I do find it very healthy, very slow room service after midnight.

Cons: Staff is not fully trained: 1)up on check in, I had been asked for number of people stay in my room. If I do need to do so, I will book a category that provide extra bed. Though I have tons of luggage as result of a full month travel from snow to beach. 2)when I ask for catch up. The waitress hand over and open on top of table then put it to plate.normally I would have a plate with unopened to serve in most of hotels. Few time I might have it opened before it placed over. Maybe do it near our table just like bottle of waters. But I never experience a pair of hands operate that in front of our eyes and on top of our food. 3)this is a bit disgusting so skip it if you do not ... The man’s toilets over flood and the unspoken material ..... but spa staff placed a working sign at location that you have to reach the point that your foot has already stepped on top of the condemned material to read. This can be totally avoided if they just block the door let to there. 4) a couple was doing unspeakable thing infront of my full family at spa pool. My son told me he reported to staff and didn’t let me know. I discovered it when staff come back for follow up. Nice looking design but not practical: Some grid like design make wall looks nice but hard to clean. If clean too often the grid will be damaged. So no way out. Build quality and material: The shower pipe has multiple location leaking water when volume is moderate. The water in toilet spilled out when flush. The marble on wall is much worse than floor and fractured multiple location. I guess it’s damaged before or during build. The concierge and doorman are excellent.

Pros: On approach to the hotel a member of staff asked if I was looking for the Devonshire and immediately took my bags and guided to the reception where I was quickly and pleasantly checked in. I found my bags already in my room and everything nicely ready to commence my stay. The room was wonderfully quiet and I slept well in a very nice firm bed. The room temperature was easily alterable, the bathroom nice and all the facilities as one would hope. Breakfast next day was equally fine, with prompt, attentive, friendly, unintrusive service. I would very happily stay again and I would recommend the Devonshire and its staff.

Pros: The staff was very informed and accomodating. The room met our expectations and beyond. The view from our balcony was amazing. We were celebrating our anniversary and upon arriving we had a beautiful desert awaiting us in our room wishing us a Happy Anniversary. The location of the hotel is excellent, within walking distance of the Tower Bridge and many other attractions and if not the subway station was within a block. We would be more than happy to stay at the Apex again.

Pros: Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, the food at the restaurant is delicious, and the location is great. Tower Hill tube station is just across the road, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge are a 5 minute walk, and there are tons of great pubs and restaurants nearby. The rooms are modern and very clean. I will definitely stay here again when I return to London.

Cons: Air con was noisy making repeated cracking sounds. Could hear adjacent room rolling the blinds and walking around. At breakfast hot food is ordered. Waitress asked our drink order then it didn't come. She then asked again when taking food order like it wasn't mentioned before. Ordered food along with toast, toast never arrived. Balcony room not worth the upgrade as one uncomfortable metal chair and when sat on surrounded by a high wall. Can also hear neighbours patio doors opening and closing which woke us whilst trying to sleep.

The hotel also tried to overcharge us for breakfast (charged the whole group for deluxe breakfasts when we intentionally just ordered a la carte. Business travelers on an expense account probably don't bother with arguing with first the waiter and then a supervisor.
Staff repeatedly gave incorrect information about nearby road closures for various parades.

I was also pleasantly surprised to be 'guest of the day'! We received a small chocolate platter, a couple of vouchers, and very attentive staff making sure we were comfortable. Very pleasant stay!

Pros: The staff were amazing all the way through from our check in experience to leaving the hotel. Waiting to check in we received a glass of Prosecco at check in we were given a free upgrade. The rooms were very clean with all amenities up to a great standard. When heading out in the evening in the reception area there were canapés and wine for guests. And the next day when heading out to explore the city we were given advice and even offered an umbrella in case it rained. Sometimes it’s the small things that count!

Cons: The beds were uncomfortable and personally too soft as I have had surgery on my lower back. One feature was high speed internet but I had real problems connecting while I held business conference calls in my room which in the end lead to me having to host them via my own internet hotspot.

I was also pleasantly surprised to be 'guest of the day'! We received a small chocolate platter, a couple of vouchers, and very attentive staff making sure we were comfortable. Very pleasant stay!

Pros: The staff were amazing all the way through from our check in experience to leaving the hotel. Waiting to check in we received a glass of Prosecco at check in we were given a free upgrade. The rooms were very clean with all amenities up to a great standard. When heading out in the evening in the reception area there were canapés and wine for guests. And the next day when heading out to explore the city we were given advice and even offered an umbrella in case it rained. Sometimes it’s the small things that count!

Cons: Staff on duty were not able to assist with parking, i waited for two hours to hear from their colleague, and the information was only shared after i chased them. My husband had to leave for work at 7am, which was when breakfast started. I asked if any alternate arrangements could be made, or if we could have some toast or pastries at 645 for him, and this was declined. Considering that my husband had to park further away because the hotel were unable to issue the parking voucher in time for his arrival I think this was very poor customer service. As an alternative we were told to use the room service menu, which had 5 items available at that time of the morning, the only thing that was a breakfast item was a ham and cheese toastie, which does not work for any non meat eaters. Fortunately the hotel was near Liverpool st station so we were able to make our own arrangements.

Cons: THE WEED/CANNABIS SMELL!!!!! Whenever you leave your room with aircon on, the moment you come back you will smell a strong weed like smell throughout the whole room. Number of times we we came back from sightseeing, we would have to open our door to the foyer hallway to air out the smell. The staff said it was due to the outside gutter smell of London and the staff were kind enough to offer a change of room the following monday as they were very booked out that weekend however since we just arrived after a 22hr flight from Australia we were just really tired.

Cons: It was a touch noisy. We heard a lot of clomp-clomp-clomp from the room above us -- not sure if he was just a heavy walker or if there was a breakdown in soundproofing. I also heard things like a baby crying at one point. That's really the only thing that keeps this from being a five-star review all the way round. There was also a little noise from outside on Saturday night, though I feel like that's expected in the heart of London at the weekend -- white-noise generator on my phone was enough to drown that out, but not so with the guy upstairs.

My stay was excellent! The staff were wonderful and the hotel itself is very well kept. The decor and amenities give off a really high-end vibe. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade on check in. We also received a bottle of champagne after mentioning that it was the end of our honeymoon in the U.K. We ate at the restaurant associated with the hotel and the food was excellent. I can't thank the staff enough for what a good experience we had. It really made the end of our trip special.

Cons: Compared to other properties of a similar star rating in London this was well below par. The staff were not particularly friendly apart from the bell man. Unfortunately the hotel seems disjointed as our room was not connected to the main hotel. Room was a good size but the bathroom was small and not particularly clean.

Cons: Hotel is in the financial district and is kinda out of the way on the weekends. Upside is cheap and good breakfast during the week for all the business folks. If you are feeling more spendy, the hotel restaurant is really good.

Cons: I had flowers delivered to me at the hotel and these were turned away at reception with the reason being that I wasn't staying at the hotel which was incorrect. I left my key and a note at reception for my son to collect and leave his luggage in my room, reception said that I had not done this and did not have a key for him. During my 12 nights there a card was sent to me which I never received.

Cons: Since our last visit however, it has been taken over by another chain and there are a few things that need attention paying to them. In the spa area the pool was poorly lite and half of lights were not working over the pool area - the jacuzzi was out of action and the general appearance of the changing rooms are looking a little tired. We stayed in room 901 and the noise from lifts was constant throughout the day and night.

Pros: Excellent gym! Lots of equipment to use. Perfect location as walking distance from the tube and easy to get to other central locations. Beautiful area as right next to St. Paul’s cathedral and madison rooftop bar. Would highly recommend and come again. The staff even gave my boyfriend cupcakes as it was his birthday.

Pros: My children were amazed with the ‘aroma’ in the air.... the hotel is very well located and the architecture fully understood the usage and the new purpose. The breakfast is very nice and until a decent hour in the morning. All personnel did their best for make our stay better with a special thank you for the concierge team.

Pros: Perfect location, very quiet and peaceful but still on the doorstep of everything you need. My room was beautiful, immaculately clean, the bed was dreamy, super comfortable I had an amazing nights sleep. I will defiantly stay here again!

Cons: Our room smelt very badly of vomit. And as the hotel was fully booked, we were not given an alternative room.

Cons: Though, I don’t like to rate any property negatively, but this property is not the best place to stay. Reasons - 1. It is extremely expensive for a small room. No value for money. If I got the services, still it was understandable. 2. The reception didn’t get back on questions all the time. They are not very welcoming except one person Mr. Lalin who was an exception 3. The concierge was decent. 4. The room was not cleaned properly, Mary time I felt not at all. For two days, there were no big towels 5. They took away the glass water bottle they had provided with no proper answer. 6. The hotel was surrounded by office buildings , zero view of even a street. 7. The bar downstairs was the worst. They were non responsive, would ignore you even after looking at you for more than 20 minutes. You had to call them time again to grab their attention. Once I saw a person making a drink and tasting it And then Giving to the customer. We never went again

Cons: Our bathroom needed a deep clean. The tiles the taps the shower screen needed limescale remover and the toilet needed some bleach. Very disappointed with this in such a lovely bathroom and lovely hotel. This let them down massively.

Cons: No fault of the hotel as I can understand why you’d rent it out. However I was looking forward to seeing the views on the rooftop and having a drink, but it’s was rented out for a birthday event.
