Pros: The main entrance and lobby look fantastic! The staff are exceptionally warm and friendly, very helpful, and really show concern for their guests. Kudos especially to Norma at Front Desk for doing her best to get us 2 rooms on the same floor and as close to each other as possible and helping us arrange for late check out. The Concierge team is topnotch, giving really good restaurant recommendations. The rooms are spacious and tastefully updated.

Pros: It was my first time in New York and the location could not be more ideal. The hotel was central to all of the main attractions. We stayed around Thanksgiving and all of the holiday decor were already stunningly displayed. A lot of tourists stopped by the outside courtyard, which is quite the photo opportunity. Inside the lobby, they hosted a "happy hour" during the weekdays around 5pm which consisted of small bites - all delicious and inclusive with your stay. My boyfriend had to work during our visit and a shuttle was provided to the financial district. The staff were excellent and very friendly.

Cons: We had a bit of a situation where we found rotten food in our mini fridge leftover from previous guests. The manager was very accommodating and provided great customer service. The only other negatives were that the internet was not included with your stay and the bellman/greeters stood by the door but did not open the doors for you which I found a bit odd.

Across the street is coffee culture for good coffee and Whole Foods is around the corner across from Bryant park. Close to subway which was a huge plus especially when heading to the usopen tennis.

Decor was trendy, with high end amenities. We loved the rooftop bar and had a great meal at the attached restaurant. Location was perfect. Overall, a great stay.

Cons: Thin walls, assuming our next door neighbor had to much fun at the Roof Top Bar and was throwing up the whole night, we had the pleasure of hearing every single thing for about 1-2 hours straight. Had to turn on the TV to muffle some of it out!

The hotel was packed with so many people , the food at the lounge is so expensive like 6 buffalo wings and chips costing us about £36 ?? Apart from where it’s located, I don’t have anything nice to say about this hotel. Rude staff, btw they won’t give you the room you book online, it’s a first come first basis service , idiots !

Pros: Hotel was in a great location...easy walking distance to many Broadway theaters and restaurants. Check-in was easy, and a short time after we checked in, I got a text asking if everything was OK, and if we needed anything. The room had everything we needed, and extras that we always like...plenty of outlets and charging areas, full length mirror in the main room, good lighting, a safe, and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was a good size, with a spacious shower. The towels were large and thick. There was also a full closet in the room, with plenty of hangers. We didn't utilize the coffee pot, but it was there, along with an ice bucket and glasses. As part of our stay, we were given vouchers for a drink (beer, wine, or soft drink) in the bar or coffee shop. There is a restaurant, bar and coffee shop in the hotel, but we only used the vouchers for coffee and iced tea in the morning at the coffee shop, then sat in the bar area to relax. Pros: Hotel was in a great location...easy walking distance to many Broadway theaters and restaurants. Check-in was easy, and a short time after we checked in, I got a text asking if everything was OK, and if we needed anything. The room had everything we needed, and extras that we always like...plenty of outlets and charging areas, full length mirror in the main room, good lighting, a safe, and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was a good size, with a spacious shower. The towels were large and thick. There was also a full closet in the room, with plenty of hangers. We didn't utilize the coffee pot, but it was there, along with an ice bucket and glasses. As part of our stay, we were given vouchers for a drink (beer, wine, or soft drink) in the bar or coffee shop. There is a restaurant, bar and coffee shop in the hotel, but we only used the vouchers for coffee and iced tea in the morning at the coffee shop, then sat in the bar area to relax. We had a nice view of a portion of Times Square, and saw a nice sunrise through the skyscrapers in the morning.
Cons: We found the hotel to be very warm throughout, and also couldn't adjust the thermostat in our room to lower the temperature from 71. We didn't call down to ask for help, because we were able to open the window. I don't know if the staff would have been able to lower the heat, or if this is how every room is set. Some people would love that heat, I'm sure, but we're not used to having our thermostat up that high. The only other complaint, is that the shower took a very long time to warm up in the morning, and the water pressure wasn't the best.

Pros: Location was great. Just 2 blocks from Times square and it was more west side of the town, so the place was very quiet as well. The room was a bit small (most NYC's rooms are), but it had everything you needed, so that was great. Facility and the room was clean. They had a roof top, but it was too cold for us to go, but during summer, I think that would be a great place to relax with friends and families. Check in and out is done with a Kiosk machine. It was simple and easy.

Cons: The shower did not drain well, not to the point where you can't use the shower, but water was a bit slow to drain. Toilet is also in an open space with just a slide in glass door, which you can hear everything going on in there (I would not recommend to visit with friends if you want privacy). Since the bed was a smart bed it stayed folded up most of the time (which is great when watching TV), so when it is laid, it didn't really have that comfort point. You have to use 2 elevators to get to your room.. kind of annoying when you are in a hurry.

Cons: I was once walked in on in the shower, which is not on part of the hotel to blame but maybe they could make sure the doors stayed locked once they’re locked from the inside so access cannot be gained from the outside. Despite this the shower was absolutely amazing after a day of walking around the cold city.

Cons: The heater/ac unit was SUPER loud when it was running. Rooms were small. The water from the tap was cloudy and I didn’t want to use it, so there are options for filtered water in the hall. I used that to brush my teeth and drink. The “City Kitchen” is the dinning affiliated w the hotel, I ordered a bacon/blue cheese burger and Tatar tots, there was hair in my burger. The girls had long pony tails and their hair wasn’t pulled back efficiently nor did they have hair nets.

I was told I was getting an upgrade from my originally booked room which was a cozy king as it would be slightly larger and instead i got a room with twin beds; I was traveling alone so it sort of killed my ambiance. The doormen were pretty friendly and quite helpful. The reception had one staff with that was shy of being cold.

Cons: The room was about the size of my master closet at home. The wall paper was peeling, the shower floor was cracked, the carpet was dingy and it was faster taking the stairs than the elevator. This was more like a 1 star hotel.

Cons: I had the worst experience and very much regret booking my stay at the Hudson. There was an issue with their piping (which, as it turns out, they knew about) so the first room was very noisy with loud banging noises in the night so I couldn't sleep properly at all. When I brought this up I was given another room on another floor immediately - no further explanation needed. Same issue there and I was moved to a third room. At this point, I knew they knew the piping noise was an issue so I felt confident the third room would not have this issue. I was wrong as this was the worst one of them all and now I hadn't slept properly during the night for nearly three nights. I was there for work and this heavily impacted me in a bad way, even missing a morning meeting as I had finally fallen asleep at 5am on the last night. I checked out, cancelled the remaining nights and booked in with another hotel. It was beyond frustrating that they kept moving me around knowing the issue wouldn't be fixed this way. The hotel felt run-down, poorly managed and maintained, and I wouldn't recommend anyone staying there.

Cons: The rooms quality of cleanliness, lighting, the carpet was dirty, bathroom walls had holes, and the whole level we stayed on had a funky smell. The lobby looks nice but as soon as the elevator door opened to our floor it was like you entered another hotel. As if they make the lobby look good to trick you. We even stopped on other levels just to make sure it wasn't just the level we where on.

Cons: I took photos and video this place was dirty and old and not like any of the photos on the website. It was horrible. The mattresses were stained and ripping the sheets didn't even fit the bed. When you set on the bed it folded in half. The wall paper was coming off of the walls, the carpets were dirty and stained. Food and dust all over the floor. The hotel didn't have any rooms to move you into a nicer room because they were all horrible. Absolutely horrible. The staff was friendly, but the staff doesn't own the hotel. The management/owners of the facility should be ashamed of even allowing people to stay in this facility.

Cons: I originally did not choose to stay in a renovated room,thinking that it was only for a night and I’d really only be sleeping in the room. But the “classic” room I was given was beyond disgusting and unsanitary- stained sheets, old carpet, the window was left open and held up by the drain stopper from the bathroom sink. There was no shower curtain and when I asked the attendant in the hall for one she handed it to me and had me put it up. Debris and mold could be seen in the a/c vent. There were unknown marks on the carpet.
The valet insisted on a tip before taking my car. The bell captain was rude.

I tried to get a refund from PRICELINE.com which is another horrible site, charged and 85 fee for a 65 dollar room, and gave no refund for the appalling conditions we had to stay in. I will never use priceline again
