Pros: It was quiet and lovely for six days. On the last night at exactly midnight a jackhammer started pounding right outside my window. Not the Beekman's fault. But it lasted until 2am. Will still stay here again gladly because of its historical beauty and location. Also, the restaurant Augustine was extraordinary. Try the octopus! I wish the Beekman would have Nespresso machines in the room. That would be amazing.

Cons: Only feedback was that the check in staff were militant about checking in and photo id's to get room keys. It felt like fort Knox - we were glad our safety is important to them but they were borderline rude ('the systems says no') rather than helpful and solution oriented as our party checked in at different times.

Cons: I arrived in the late evening... the bathroom didn't have any toilet paper and while it looked clean it smelled sour. The next morning I asked the housekeeping person to please clean the bathroom and replenish the toilet paper. When I returned later that day they had replenished the toilet paper but the bathroom still smelled sour which I assumed was because the bathroom doesn't have a fan -- regardless it wasn't pleasant

And they didn't replace the toilet paper. so i had to request everything. They blamed it on being short staffed. Only 1 elevator worked so I had to wait forever to go up and down. I was on the top floor! Check in also took at least 20 minutes.

Cons: Our room door was broken and wouldn't close from the outside. We called to have it fixed and mentioned it at the desk in detail; at no point did anyone fix it or ask about it. The room was small, no tea/coffee facilities and the waters in the room were not replaced for the 2nd night; shouldn't really have to ask for that stuff. I was told when I was checked in, we got a comp upgrade - but actually, we didn't we in fact got the room we initially paid for and had to complain about when getting told initially the room was no longer available against our booking. Additionally, it took 20 minutes or so to collect our bags from holding [?] and the staff at the door tried to convince us to use their friends 'black car service' for a high cost airport transfers? Annoying and certainly didn't seem legit to be doing that; surely offered at reception, not told to not go to reception to ask..? Maybe that's a 'New York thing' we're missing. Generally, a disappointing stay. Wouldn't recommend to family or friends, for sure. Won't stay again. Sorry guys.

Cons: The first night I was here my thermostat was not working and I was freezing all night long. It took a couple of visits from the engineer the next day to fix the issue. The thermostat is still not entirely responsive. I also was not thrilled with the lack of ground floor lobby. The front door was not consistently attended and the elevator to floors was close to the door so it seemed a little insecure. A couple of things in the room were broken - the curtain is stuck on the track and won't open, and the sink faucet makes a very loud noise when turned on

Cons: The hotel room was one of the worst hotel rooms I have stayed in. It was absolutely minute and the bathroom was equally small. The pillows in the room were absolutely terrible and linen was "tired". When trying to check out this morning, and being in a rush to the airport, the front desk was not manned and I had to wait for a few minutes just to check. The hotel is definitely not worth the rate and I won't be staying at 11 Howard are recommending it.

Pros: The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are good. The location is fantastic, 60 seconds walk from the nearest subway and plenty of eateries in the vicinity.
Cons: The hotel is extremely popular and therefore busy, if you hit the lifts at rush hour you’ll wait hours. On several occasions we stood for 20 minutes watching the lifts miss our floor again and again for being too full already. Also, we had breakfast on one occasion in the hotel restaurant and twice were treated rudely by separate staff members who refused to serve us as they weren’t our assigned servers so we then had to wait a significant amount of time following to be served which took the shine off what would have been an otherwise enjoyable meal.

Cons: The elevators take forever to arrive. They never returned my security deposit which is a 350$! the room was really small and no refrigerator.

Pros: It was close to so many attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. My room was nice, clean and comfortable.

Cons: If you're not a Hilton rewards member, you have to pay for WiFi which is ridiculous $6.95/per day. There are 3 elevators for 46 floors and the cleaning staff use the same ones that the guests use. When they get on with vacuums, etc. there's no room left.

Pros: I loved that each of the rooms were named after a famous performer. So far, I've been in rooms dedicated to The Marx Bros., Duke Ellington, Fanny Brice and Jimmy Durante! It's a quaint and charming place that I highly recommend. I love staying there.

Pros: What I liked the most is that they made the bed and you get the fresh towel every day. The mattress was comfortable. There was socket near each bed. There was shampoo, shower gel and soap in the bathroom. There is subway station with direct connection to lower Manhattan. For the price in NYC, this is a good place to stay. There are couple of things, one must be careful about: Every room is different than the other. So, it can be that your room is different than the photos on the internet. Do not let them to copy your credit card. They tend to do so without even seeking your permission. Pay the security deposit in cash. It makes it easier to get it back. Bring your own padlock, as the room had no lockers and the luggage storage had no security system. Do not expect friendly or chatty staff.

Pros: It’s great location. As a hostel, it’s rather clean.
Cons: One of the receptionist acted as the “queen of Africa” in an extremely mean manner! On behalf of the hotel, she was determined to charge guests additional fees in the name of “late check out”. Yet, when guests question her what the hotel means by “late”, not only is she unable to provide a clear definition (they deliberately keep it vague so that it’s up to them to determine what is “late”), but also she threatens guests by saying that the hotel has the banking info of customers and that they’ll just go ahead charging customers regardless... It’s terrible how equipped they are in reaping off customers, and how shameless they are in doing business in such an unethical manner!!!!

Cons: I booked the room through booking.com. I received the email that my credit card details were not correct. The same thing happened to the other roommates. The check in process was extremely slow. The girl at the reception had to call her manager regarding my booking, as I booked it through booking.com. It is their policy to copy the credit card, so you have to intervene there. I did not let her it copied. There was no latch on the door, and bolt was not working. One of the staff personal invaded the room to show the room to her friends, as they were planning to stay there. There were no lockers in the room. The luggage storage was neither locked nor controlled. They take the security deposit for their own property, but they do not take any responsibility for your belongings or luggage.

Cons: The room was a 4th floor walk up and the initial room did not have a functioning security lock, it was located next to the fire escape with the door open and the window had been smashed and could not close. I could not believe it! They changed the room.
