Pros: Overall, the facility was gorgeous. The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean, the pool was beautiful and atmospheric, but the service left too much to be desired. When we called to the front desk for assistance of any kind, we were met with tones of condescension. Almost as if asking for a room service menu, as are room had none, or ordering room service was a bother to them. We waited an hour for a Cobb salad to be delivered, only to find that it was missing bacon, egg, and avocado...practically half the salad! For the price of the salad, I expected so much more. I certainly could have called to notify them of the issue, but after having waited at long we did want to waste more time. Apart from the lack of care for customer satisfaction dealt out by the front desk, we also ran into issues with the bell man. At first, he offered to look out for our scheduled taxi, while we waited inside. But, we soon realized that he wasn't going to follow through on his offer as he was standing inside chatting it up with a co-worker as time came for our taxi to arrive. So, we got up and went to look for it ourselves. This is not to say that all of the customer service personnel were lacking. There were certain individuals who were kind, friendly, and attentive to our needs. But, I would say by and far that customer satisfaction is not apparent by their services rendered. If you're looking to feel like you as a customer and a person matters, then stay far away from Hotel Monteleone. If you're looking for a beautiful place to stay, then by all means, book that room!

Cons: Door handle on my room had not been upgraded, and the door would not open. It took 4 trips down to the lobby plus the manager coming up to my room to fix the problem. A real hassle. Also, thermostat broken, and I nearly froze to death in my room. Would not recommend this hotel.

Cons: Booked this room over 6 months in advance for the night before our wedding. Turns out we booked a day earlier than what we needed. I called the hotel to see if we could switch, but was rudely spoken to, hung up on twice when I asked to speak to a manager and when I finally did get ahold of someone in charge, they were unwilling to work out anything. I was at a loss for words. I travel to NOLA every few months and have always wanted to stay at hotel monteleone. So disappointed with the customer service, the way they spoke to customers, and although we did end up staying there that night, it will be the last time. Go to the bar, don't spend the night

Pros: Monteleone is marvelous and I will come again. My only criticisms are 1. It is not fully handicap accessible 2. The bathrooms are nice but small and dated, no walk in showers 3. Bedrooms are small by modern standards (limited to 2 to a room comfortably.

Pros: - The location was in perfect proximity to the French Quarter (in the French Quarter) on the gorgeous Royal St which is, in my experience, the prettiest street in the French Quarter - There are ample antique shops, art galleries, restaurants, jazz clubs and cafes nearby - The hotel is exceptionally lovely, very clean and well-maintained - The rotating carousel bar on the first floor is fabulous with a great jazz band on Saturday nights. - Rooftop pool is gorgeous but was always full - The Spa sounded fantastic

Pros: The hotel was clean, beautiful, and the beds soo comfortable. But the best part if our stay was the service. The reservations specialist, front desk, and concierge all went out of their way, hands down, to give us top of the line experiences. Pros: The historic hotel is a perfect image of New Orleans. The staff was so friendly and went out their way just to see if you needed anything at all. It was the perfect first anniversary get away. Very romantic. Awesome convenient location for walking to nearby places as well. Clean. Carousel is really amazing and unique as well! Nice rooftop pool as well. That's a rare thing in New Orleans hotels!
Cons: Rooms are a little smaller than I imagined but really not an issue. Again, love the texture and old school authentic New Orleans style. Also, the elevators took a minute to get to you sometimes. Not really an issue just the only tiny flaw I noticed.

Cons: The pool had debris in the pool. It was also very cold and we were told it would be heated. Thr 60.00 a day fee for parking, and room service was a complete a suprise. I was under the assumption that I could pay directly for parking....however, the hotel put a hold on my debit card for services I didn't use...for example, room service. It will take 3-5 business days to receive my refund. That caught me off guard and caused my finances to be tight for a few days until I could move money around at my bank. I wish I had been aware of these charges.

Pros: The Hotel Monteleone is an outstanding property. We were pleasantly surprised with our King room. It was small, but very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The hotel bar is one of its trademarks. We enjoyed the carousel and the intimacy that it brings, all the while being able to chat with some of the other patrons. I had a 30 minute massage at the Spa Aria. The masseuse (Ellen) was excellent and very knowledgeable. The spa lobby was a bit overly crammed with merchandise for sale, but smelled great and had good attention at their front desk.
Cons: The concierge was not helpful to a guest, shrugging his shoulders and telling him he needed to get back in line for the front desk. It seemed to is like he could've assisted.

Pros: My husband and I stayed at Creole Garden B&B for a weekend getaway. I immediately fell in love with the charming atmosphere. Even though we arrived late Joe was gracious enough to welcome us and show us around. The ladies working there are so intriguing and everyone was very friendly. I expected the traditional continental breakfast, but instead it was something I would have received from my grandmother as a child (Real eggs no powder, pancakes, ham, grits, toast, etc)! The location was conveniently located a block away from the trolley and an array of restaurants. This will be my top choice from now on when staying in New Orleans.

Cons: The only thing i wold really request would be a fridge in the bedroom and a rug or carpet on the wooden stairs in the upper corner of the building. During a rainy morning, I slipped down several steps on the way to breakfast.

The room itself was nice and large and came equipped with a coffee maker and small fridge. Bathroom could use some updating (tub/shower) but was certainly adequate with decent amount of counter space. We didn't eat in the onsite restaurant, but did have cocktails and snacks at the bar. Great time there with drinks made to order and delicious small plates to share. The bar staff were friendly, served impeccable drinks and couldn't have been more accommodating. Hotel also has a Starbucks inside with full service and selection as you would find in an offsite Starbucks store. Loved our stay at the Marriott on Canal Street and can't wait to return!!

Held $464 on my credit card for for what they say was misc charges. $464 that was not available to use. I will never stay there again. what a ripoff. $23 for breakfast buffet that was very limited. My wife ordered 3 pancakes and they charged us $12 for 3 freaking pancakes that were not very good.

Pros: I liked the location and its access to the French Quarter. The hotel was very crowded as it was the start of Mardi Gras so the lounge in the lobby was very busy and sometimes it was sometimes hard to find a seat there but fund anyway. Elevators were prompt and staff very polite and helpful.
Cons: Our room was small and the bathroom was clean but so small that there were no towel bars and yet there was a sign saying that you could be environmentally helpful if you would use your towel more than once. If that was your wish, the sign to the housekeeper would be that your towel would be hung on the towel bar. We just found it humorous.

Cons: We were unable to reach our hotel. No one told us when we made our reservations that Mardi Gras parades (at least two) would be passing by our hotel after 4:00 p.m. (which is check in) making it impossible to get to our hotel. We waited in traffic for over 3 hours trying to reach our hotel, then the New Orleans police started diverting all the traffic and set up barriers making it impossible to be anywhere near Canal Street. The front desk at the Marriott told us they couldn't guarantee we could reach the hotel by midnight. We had to drive to Baton Rouge to get a hotel and missed out being with family the next day for our grandchild's 1st birthday.

Pros: It's the attention to detail that left us with a lasting favorable impression. Each employee of the hotel was very polite and at the top of their game at every brief interaction. It was a brief stay and what created the lasting impression was when we were departing the hotel a bellman made sure to tell us Good Morning, how nice is was to have us, and to have a wonderful day. We could have made it out the door without him saying much but he made sure to tell us these things with conviction and we felt that it wasn't just lip service. Nice job folks, from check in to check out. We'll be back.

Everyone I spoke with wanted to make sure we were taken care of and it felt like they were willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were happy. I had a small reception for my wedding at The Redfish Grill that's attached to the hotel and it was a great experience. I believe our waitress was Anne or Anna and she was very kind, personable, and provided the best service possible. I would definitely recommend this Hyatt to someone looking to stay in NOLA.
Cons: The only con I have for the hotel is the Powdered Sugar cafe attached to the hotel. My husband and I didn't get our orders on time (in a busy setting, I would understand. There were only two or three other tables seated) and what we did get was continually incorrect with no apology or explanation. At some point my plate was taken from me without saying anything with my fork still on it where I had dropped it. Overpriced for what it is.

Pros: We stayed for 3 nights. We were able to walk out the door and be right in the French Quarter. We were traveling with a small child and everyone was very accommodating. they were able to put us in an area removed from most of the rooms, so we didn't have to worry about the baby disturbing other patrons. Restaurant on sight was perfect for a quick breakfast and facility was very clean. Rooms are good size and we had a great view of Canal St.

The staff was friendly and attentive,while the tradition of pb&j at 10:00 pm was a charming touch. The rooms are gorgeous as is the rest of the hotel.

Cons: Intercontinental is supposed to be IHG's flagship hotel. During my stay I killed three spiders in the bed. The duvet cover was torn and tattered in multiple places. The carpets were not vacuumed. Someone else's dry-cleaning tags were left on the floor (2). The drinking glass in the bathroom had dried toothpaste stains from someone previously before me. For three days in a row I turned the same drinking glass up thinking that it would be washed and would return to my hotel room to find that it had just been flipped over, uncleaned. The best yet was the last night that I stayed the cleaning staff had left a dust in my room by the door. I guess since they werent cleaning they decided to leave the tools for me do their work. The front desk staff seemed unconcerned about the cleanliness and too busy to give it much thought. Valet also higher than any other hotel in area. Will go back to the Holiday Inn Chateau LeMoyne north of the quarter, always clean in 5+ stays there.

Pros: The hotel is newly renovated and totally updated and modern from its previously 80s styling. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and it was nice before but amazing now. Try a balcony room and go down to one of the bars for a signature New Orleans cocktail. It's 2 blocks from Canal and 3 blocks from Famous Bourbon Street. It's also perfectly located for catching games and events at the super dome. Bout 3-5 blocks. Not a bad walk at all. It's where I stay when I go to watch the Saints

We were “upgraded” to a suite which had a queen spring with a twin mattress with the springs sticking out so we were unable to use this for our kids but still had to pay the upgrade price. Therefore the “upgrade” did not provide us with any additional sleeping space. The room door key did not work because they had to charge the lock. The concierge desk was impossible to reach to get towels, sheets, ect. It would just ring and go to voicemail. We tried to order food from the in house restaurant and they directed us to their in room menu which did not exist. Our room was two levels with an exit door on each level. I asked if they could deliver our sheets to the second level because we may not hear the knock on the first level and they said they were unable to go to the second level, even though this is a normal hotel floor with a normal hallway door entry so I was confused by this. Many of these issues are likely because they are short staffed with COVID-19 and hopefully will be improved.

Cons: The customer service was awful. When we arrived (about 10 AM) we could not even park at the hotel and the valet was extremely rude. Two people were in the process of getting their cars back so I asked if we could take their spots (there was no one else around the hotel lobby or valet area). The valet told me no and that it would be 2 hours before I could park. I asked what I was supposed to do with my car and he rudely replied that he didn't know and that check in was at three. I continued to ask why I couldn't take the new spots for the people leaving and he replied "Check in is at 3 PM, is that fair?". Once again in a very rude tone. I did not appreciate how I was being treated as a customer. I realize this is a busy time for New Orleans, but I felt that I didn't deserve his short temper or rude behavior. I still don't understand why we couldn't park where the cars were being moved from.

This gave us a chance to quickly check in (with friendly and helpful staff!!), drop off our bags and check out Bourbon St, which was the cross street of the intersection where the hotel is located. Bourbon St is what it is, but the hotel's prime location made it really easy to explore part of the French Quarter in the wee hours of the night feeling safe walking around.

I rented 2 rooms for my family. We were unable to stay the last night because my daughter was sick and KAYAK would not refund my money. Over $600!!!! Will not use KAYAK again!!!

Pros: Awesome location. Easy access. Right on Bourbon Street. Easy come and go. Safe location, walking distance to all French Quarter. No rental car needed.
Cons: I don't like firm beds, the beds were like sleeping on wood planks. The thermostat didn't really function, the room stayed in the mid 60s which was better than having the heater not shut off.

Pros: Check in was a breeze, valet and bellboy were SUPER helpful. We even got some great recommendations for that night and for future visits from staff. The lobby was stunning! After check out, we left our baggage with concierge at the front of the lobby to continue our morning exploring without being weighed down. Overall, great visit! Comfortable beds, clean, nice accomodations.
Cons: We didn't like being surprised by the $50 valet charge at check out!

Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms. Decent price if you wanna be right in the middle of all the fun.
Cons: If you happen to rent a car be forwarded there is no where to park your car except for their valet parking which runs about $40 a night! This goes for any hotel on Canal street so just keep that in mind.

Pros: The hotel is at the corner of Bourbon & Canal, so you have everything right in front of you. The room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: We heard a bit of noise in our room, so I don't know if some renovations were going on or what. Also, parking is $40/night and you can't walk to your car. The lower cost of the hotel is ruined by the parking fees. Next time we stay here, we'll be looking at alternative parking options.

Pros: The location is great for events downtown. I like to walk, and the central location is nice. Staff was really friendly. We were there for a show at the Saenger which was just a couple blocks away. I would stay there again
Cons: I didn't like the parking setup. I don't know where the garage was, and you have to stop right on the very busy Canal street and valet. It was pretty much a zoo in front of the hotel the whole time~ But again, the staff was helpful and friendly

Pros: Right in the midst of the French Quarter.
Cons: It's one of those places that cares more about impressing those who are easily impressed than actually providing comfort. The cue: pillows that are too big to be conducive for rest and sleep. I asked - they didn't have any variety. But it's probably fine for Partiers on Bourbon St., or the middle-brow wedding.

Pros: Proximity to French Quarter and other sights. Most everything within walking distance. Staff was very friendly and informative. We were allowed to check in early. The water pressure & temperature were fantastic, at least in our room. Overall, the hotel itself was lovely and clean
Cons: They do not clean the rooms once they've gone through in the morning to clean, even though we hung the sign on the door to have it cleaned. However, housekeeping did leave a message saying that they would bring up fresh towels if we wanted them. The rooms were fairly clean, but didn't feel or look as clean as one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. One of the mattresses was stained on the side. The room did not have a fridge which made keeping any leftovers not an option. They charged an exorbitant amount of money for overnight parking.

Pros: I like the staff and the location and restaurant. The rooms are a good size with no real frills. I have stayed here 3 times and I think it is a good value for the price you pay.
Cons: The concierge was not very helpful and in fact he was unhelpful as he gave me bad information about dress code for a restaurant and he really doesn't seem to enjoy his job like he should. It is a busy hotel so it can take a while to get a response from the front desk.

Cons: My room was not clean properly...a pair of dirty women underwear were hanging on my bathroom door. The bed had stains on the sheets and the room smelled. I will not stay at this hotel again!!!
