Excellent hotel with excellent service! Perfect location and valet parking was so easy and convenient. Beautiful carousel bar - but seating is limited and expect to pay about $20 per drink. Convenient baggage check if your flight leaves later. Would definitely stay again.
Cons. Double beds are hard on tall folk.
Pros. Love the location and the Carousel bar. Love the history and the feel of the hotel.
Cons. Our room air was very loud and the shower sprayed water up into the ceiling light which could have caused harm to us.
Pros. Hotel Monteleone is beautiful and the perfect location, but even during Mardi Gras season it was a very quite hotel. Not the perfect place to stay if you're more looking for fun, but a great place for a romantic getaway or for business. Fantastic staff.
Pros. Great location within the French Quarter. Very beautiful hotel and nice staff.
Cons. When we checked in they told us our room had no windows and offered us 2 drink vouchers and the opportunity to "upgrade" for $100 a night. We did upgrade and got windows looking straight into parking garage. Crazy bar scene off the lobby.
Pros. Pool was awesome, Carousel Bar was amazing, staff was top notch. Criollo was a very tasty restaurant. Location!
Cons. Limited channels on TV cable, wifi was a little slow, other than that, very nice
Pros. The location is excellent
Cons. I thought the hotel looked a bit run down, not a 5 star hotel.. I did not like the fact that there was no complimentary coffee or news papers The coffee was available in the gift shop for $3.00+ / cup. Not acceptable for a supposed top flight hotel, Forget trying to get a seat at the famous Carousel bar, but it was the first weekend of Jazz Fest.
Cons. room # 944 is a bit too small
Pros. Friendly doormen, bellman, front desk. Love the gracious old hotel. Criollo's Restaurant had excellent food and service. One could not ask for a better location as a base of operations for leisurely tour of French Quarter.
Cons. While I don't think most rooms fit this category, we happened to get a very small room with window looking across a dark alley. Room could not have been more than 12' square, with king and furniture closet, one could not help but feel a bit claustrophobic. Be sure to ask for room with street facing widows. Housekeeping kept forgetting essentials - like TP. Had to call to request and then wait 15 min for delivery. Otherwise, excellent experience.
Pros. Location was great, room was nice and hotel was beautiful.
Cons. They didn't tell us in advance we wouldn't have a window in our room. Also the bathroom was pretty small. There is just not much room to set anything down.
