Toronto hotels near Varsity Centre

Pros: Staff was super friendly and helpful. In suite laundry was major bonus to wash and dry running gear before packing into suitcase. Room comfortable, well appointed. Historical building was neat, lobby nice, convenient location downtown. Valet parking was expensive but necessary as there appeared nothing convenient around. Well suited to transit and walking. Views were fantastic from 36th floor suite, and gym was great, with super views, on 17th floor. Sandwich/pastry shop off lobby was good, Starbucks immediately across street.

Pros: The place had a nice kitchenette, with even a washing machine and a dishwasher. Although I was only there for a couple of days, I can imagine it's excellent for traveling with family or a long-term stay. The staff, including the cleaning staff, were all super nice.

Pros: Thanks to Collin at the front desk, my stay was perfect! He not only upgraded my room, but he ensured me he'd personally handle my concerns and he did just that. The hotel is central to everything downtown and you can walk everywhere.

Pros: The location was excellent for central Toronto with excellent access to convention Centre and tourist interests. It was fabulous to have a kitchonette and clothes washing facilities in the room. (I was upgraded to a higher room and the view was amazing too!).

Pros: We were upgraded from 1 room - 2 queens size beds to a renovated 2 bedroom suite upon arrival! It was a special BD celebration so it couldn't have been a nicer surprise. The suite was gorgeous, with 2 king size beds, each room with separate luxurious ensuites, full living room, dining room and kitchen. The only problem was, we didn't want to leave to explore the city. The staff was exceptional. I'd come back in a minute and I'm in Toronto every day.

Pros: This hotel has such a luxurious feel and look about it. Class and style describe it. Beautiful hotel, extremely courteous staff and they're very professional too. We came for a romantic Valentine's Day and the Royal York delivered.

Pros: Amazing staff, decadent surroundings, great views, incredibly comfortable beds and accommodations, Union station is across the street for transportation and the hotel itself is like visiting a landmark - it's beautiful. The price is high, but it's for all of those reasons.

Pros: My room was large, beautiful, and clean. The hallways were a bit difficult to navigate and I got lost a couple of times until I got a acclimated to it. I went around in circles before I could find the elevator! The hotel is very special because it sits directly next to Rogers stadium, which is the home of the Toronto Blue Jays, & I understand that there is soccer there too. If you sit in the hotel's restaurant, you can look directly into the stadium, and it's a great deal of fun. However, I understand that there are some rooms that also look directly into the stadium but which do not have windows to the outside, so these rooms would make a sports fan very happy but perhaps others might be disappointed. Be sure to ask for a room that has a window to the outside if you don't want to face the stadium.

Pros: The staff is extremely helpful and the location is great, right by the CN tower, walking distance to Union Station (about 10 minutes). The room I stayed in was very spacious.

Pros: The room was big and had a view of the rogers centre, which we loved. Really liked that the screen tv welcomes you by your name, I thought that was excellent customer service. The bathroom was nicely decorated and I felt it was different then the regular hotel room.

Pros: Everything is very close by, Excellent living rooms in each room, not just a typical bed and a desk, and the TV check out was very convenient.

Pros: Supurb downtown location. The lobby bar view of the baseball field inside the Rogers Centre was pretty cool and would be awesome on game day.
