Pros: The view is great. Thanks for the team for the help to arrange for a nice room that I requested for my birthday trip. Staffs are friendly and helpful.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Room, staff (especially "senora") location, last minute booking and every request was accommodated
Cons: Slight odour from toilet
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The room was bigger than I'd expected from the photos The bed was super comfy and the pillows plush The hotel is Quiet! You can't hear other guests from your room My partner was able to have my birthday cakes stored until we were ready for them
Cons: Because of COVID, we couldn't receive turndown service, attractions and restaurants are closed, this was expected though. I wish we could've gotten a tub in the room without having to blow our budget.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: This hotel exceeded all expectations! To the very attentive staff, who accommodated special requests in a moments notice. To the exemplary sanitation and precautions followed by this hotel, to the very large , comfy beautifully equipped suite. I recommend this hotel for anyone? Thank you so much fir a wonderful staycation!!! Mary
Excellent 9,0
Pros: It was clean and very modern. The shower was my favourite part. The gods enclosure is beautiful. The bed is super comfortable.
Cons: It doesn’t come with a microwave. For that high of a price per night, I would at least expect a microwave to warm up food.

Pros: Everything was spot on
Cons: The ac in the rooms did not work

Okay 5,0
Pros: The room did not look as advertised on the wedsite, especially after we paid for an upgrade. The picture on the site showed a large bath tub in the corner of the room over looking the city. In reality this was no where near the room we had. Our first room smelled strongly of sewage after the we used the shower, we requested a move which the staff accommodated without hesitation. I have always enjoyed this hotel, however this experience was certainly sub par.

Cons: The pool was closed for a half day due to pipe burst.....

Pros: Greeted warmly when we arrived, shown personally to our suite. All staff whether at the front desk, valets or cleaning staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
Okay 5,1
Pros: It doesn't worth money. I give it 3 star place with 5 star price.
Cons: See previous
Excellent 10,0
Pros: service was great, the view was beautiful, the room was excellent. It seemed like the stars aligned for us, but that just may be the great service of the hotel. The weight room was great. The concierge made a reservation for us at this great restaurant downtown.
Cons: I can't really say there was anything I didn't like about the hotel. I did a lot of research on hotels in toronto, and this was the highest rated and for good reason. If you're on the fence, go with Shangri-La

Pros: The room was a little dated
Cons: Rooms need renovating
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The concept of the whole hotel

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Check in was a breeze, big room with a big comfortable bed, modern amenities, and easy to get to/from the train station and other local attractions. Very friendly staff.
Cons: I don't really have any gripes, so I'll say softer toilet paper. This was honestly the only thing that stood out as less than excellent to me.

Pros: We always love going to the King Edward Hotel when we visit downtown Toronto. The location is terrific if you want to walk, shop, and sight see. We've been choosing this hotel for years.
Cons: Since we book this hotel often ... it would be nice to be recognized and rewarded. Perhaps with a room upgrade or something ... Most notably though on this last visit I noticed our bed was sagging in the middle. I had to sleep on the edges of the mattress not to fall into the centre.

Pros: Our room was spacious and comfortable.
Cons: I did not realize that guests would have dogs in the hotel. I prefer a pet free location.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The hotel is beautiful. Really did a wonderful job remodeling. Rooms are quite large with generous seating areas and extra large bathrooms. Location is great.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The hotel property was immaculate and was in walking distance to many places of interest such as Eaton Centre, St. Lawrence Market, Distillery area, St. Michael"s Cathedral, SONY Performing Atrs Center and many fabulous restaurants and bars. The employees of the hotel were motivated in making our experience a great one. The concierge staff were most helpful with their suggestions and directions.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: The room was beautiful. Our favorite was the Trump chocolate bars. The kids loved the TV embedded in the bathroom mirror.
Cons: My only complaint was the the lighting in the bathroom could have been brighter. It was a little dim for applying makeup.
Excellent 9,1
Pros: Attentive staff
Cons: Need exhaust fans in the bathroom Lack of TV stations in the lounge - why in Canada could we not see the Stanley Cup playoffs in the lounge???
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We inadvertently left somethings in the car that was valet parked. Our bellhop brought our bags up and immediately helped us with our situation. In a few minutes our other items were up in our room. It was so effortless. I also loved how well staffed if was and how ready they were to help us with anything.
Good 6,8
Pros: People very friendly...Jon twigg very kind to get door leading into our room fixed.
Cons: Door didn't work..had to wait to get fixed. Room not ready when we arrived at 330pm, had to wait 20 minutes in lobby. Bed not turned down second night we were there. Hairs found in our bathtub..
Excellent 9,4
Pros: The location is great. Short walk to everywhere and multiple places to eat nearby.
Cons: Be aware that you HAVE to valet park, which costs $50 per night per car. They do not give you the option to park yourself.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Big comfortable and cosy rooms. Perfect for a staycation.
Cons: Noisy environment because of construction across the street on weekends.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Top smart design and comfort
Good 7,0
Cons: No view
Mediocre 2,0
Cons: So we came here for our 15th anniversary. We stayed here 15 years ago on our wedding night. We were looking forward to a sound sleep apart from our three young children. Not so. We were awaken by the construction across the street. Maybe 4-5am on a Saturday morning. Unfortunate. Unfortunate we didn’t get a room on the other side of the hotel.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: No breakfast. The buffet was closed for Covid19.
Cons: Unfortunately, the neighbourhood is going through a massive rebuilding and there is construction everywhere.
Good 6,0
Pros: Rooms need a refresh.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: From the moment you arrive, you are aware you are in a special place. The understated luxury and the attentive but discrete staff mean you can enjoy your stay in the knowledge everything you need is at your fingertips while enjoying as much privacy as you need. The wood-paneled design theme is carried through the hotel from the lobby to your room, which is a haven from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Do ask for a quiet room though as the noise of Toronto's condo construction boom can interrupt the tranquility in some areas (a problem not unique to Le Germain). But the hotel has even thought of that. It helpfully provides ear plugs in the bedrooms for those who are sleep-challenged. It's just one of the many little and big touches that make this hotel an oasis in the entertainment district of Canada's largest city, just a short distance from Toronto's island airport served by the Porter airline.
Cons: 1. Super staff who don't get "in your face" 2. Understated charm of hotel with thoughtful design touches 3. FantastIc bedrooms with plenty of space (judging by our room) 4. Convenient location in Toronto's downtown theatre district and close to waterfront

Excellent 8,0
Pros: Loved the heated floors, bathtub (wish it was bigger) and the bed was incredibly comfy.
Cons: The pricing and the parking garage entry/exit.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything was perfect! The room the staff the location! The staff were extremely kind and accommodating! I have stayed in many hotels over the past few years and this hotel was by far the best all around experience of them all
Cons: Can't complain about anything. Staff were absolutley amazing kind and caring from even before we arrived
Good 6,0
Pros: The bedding and bathroom and the space was clean and comfortable. The bathroom and bathtub was so inviting.
Cons: I noticed the reception was dry. Not a lot of atmosphere. No colour-no flowers. No ambiance. It felt stale and not as inviting as I expected. We celebrated our anniversary for the night-let the staff know. Asked for champagne. Was told under COVID circumstances could not provide. In my experience when celebrating an event at a hotel or restaurant, there is a gesture. We don’t feel that was acknowledged in anyway. Overall just felt the lack of vibrancy and aliveness. Simple small gestures, like flowers at reception or in the room would have made a difference.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Very comfortable, very clean, perfect for an evening in with take out from Terronis, thanks to covid. Will definitely be back
Cons: the pillows, bringing our own next time
Excellent 9,1
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Concierge service was excellent. The hotel was clean and well-appointed with lots of luxuries and very comfortable beds.
Cons: Walburgers was horrible
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Great location, clean and spacious.
Excellent 9,1
Pros: Nice hotel on the edge of the downtown core, an easy walk to restaurants and bars on King Street West, Queen Street West, Chinatown and Kensington Market. Hotel is low-rise and relatively small, which is a plus for me. Easy, but somewhat expensive parking underground with direct access to hotel. Luxury room was comfortable and spacious.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Spacious and clean
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Perfect location! Just a few minutes walk to the harbour front. Gorgeous view from the window! Room has everything what travellers need, including kitchenette. Amazing price for that high quality hotel.
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: It was clean and the staff were very nice
Cons: The road was not easily accessible. The was a movie shooting that weekend. Parking is a big hassle, i decided to pay the hotel parking which was expensive for me.
Excellent 10,0
Excellent 9,4
Pros: Great staff. perfect location. Fantastic price and amazing room. Loved it.
Cons: Bed was a bit short.. lol
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Staff was super friendly and helpful. In suite laundry was major bonus to wash and dry running gear before packing into suitcase. Room comfortable, well appointed. Historical building was neat, lobby nice, convenient location downtown. Valet parking was expensive but necessary as there appeared nothing convenient around. Well suited to transit and walking. Views were fantastic from 36th floor suite, and gym was great, with super views, on 17th floor. Sandwich/pastry shop off lobby was good, Starbucks immediately across street.
Cons: No in suite breakfast option, so either be prepared (and make use of in suite kitchen), hit restaurant downstairs (which seemed expensive), or plan for pastry or coffee shop mere steps away.

Pros: The place had a nice kitchenette, with even a washing machine and a dishwasher. Although I was only there for a couple of days, I can imagine it's excellent for traveling with family or a long-term stay. The staff, including the cleaning staff, were all super nice.

Pros: We loved the food and the service of the hotel.
Cons: The coat per night is high for a hotel especially during covid.
Mediocre 2,0
Pros: -
Cons: When I checked in I requested a room on the front side of the building but received a room on the side of the building with a view of adjacent office buildings. The room was not properly cleaned before I entered the room. I found a wine cork on the floor that the cleaners missed. The following morning I found a dead cockroach inside my room. A complaint was made at the concierge desk. The manager told me they would refund me half the price of the room through booking.com but I have not heard back from either the Fairmont royal york hotel or Booking.com about this. The bathroom magnifying mirror light did not light up. It was not working.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Location is perfect. Beautiful hotel.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: The check out person was friendly and polite and the hotel itself was beautiful.
Cons: The check in gentlemen was a bit rude and didn’t smile. Super awkward.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The staff was incredibly friendly and extremely attentive to our needs. We requested a quiet room and received what we asked for. Everything was immaculate and having a pool and a health club with a steam room was an added bonus to our stay.
Cons: If you drive and park over overnight leaving on a work day morning can be a little difficult as Union station is across the street and morning commuters tend to walk directly into the path of where you exit the Fairmont in your car. It would help to have a hotel employee come out and assist with clearing vehicular and pedestrian traffic so you can exit the Fairmont in your car safely.
Good 6,5
Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: Heating system was loud. Walls were paper thin. Could hear room conversations as I passed doors. Especially being placed so super close to the elevator.

Pros: Great location and friendly staff. Can’t help but get swept up in the grandeur of the lobby.
Cons: Not great value for money. Paid for ‘upgraded’ room and couldn’t tell the difference. Our reservation at Epic was mysteriously cancelled (eventhough they called twice to confirm reso). Rushed out after only an hour for another event. If the location was anywhere else, wouldn’t stay again.

Cons: Pricey, but worth it.

Pros: Comfy bed Delicious, impeccably cooked steaks Nice pool area El Labo soaps smell amazing Room service was very fast and friendly
Cons: Very few gluten free items on menus Several times we had a hard time getting in touch with staff (consierge, maintenance, bell desk) Room was incredibly cramped and looked hastily repaired or shoddily renovated Room smelled of previous tenants body odour or cigarettes Closet light was clicking on and off sporadically Steam room in health facilities seemed unclean/didn't smell good
Okay 5,7
Pros: staff was friendly. room was clean
Cons: feel like iv stayed in better rooms for a lot less!!!!!
Good 7,1
Pros: Centrally located Affordable valet parking Helpful staff Quick check in Quiet room
Cons: Clothes iron was damaged No blow dryer was provided Sink did not hold water for shaving, stopper was broken Mirror was showing signs of corrosion Bathroom door made entry/exit difficult No USB charging ports Cleaning attempted to enter my room at both 7:30 AM and 8:45 AM. That was very unwelcome.

Cons: room was hot. small too. hotel needs h full redo. looks and smells old.

Pros: Predictable level of service and comfort
Cons: Construction noise
Good 7,1
Pros: Not much Not much.
Cons: Waited 4 hours In the lobby. Previous nights guests had trashed the room.
Good 7,1
Pros: Clean, staff were very courteous, location excellent (but the continuing roadworks along Front Street is a headache).
Cons: Room size - Tiny room. We were informed that we were being upgraded but when we got there the room was tiny with a spacious adjoining bathroom. I would recommend that clients specifically ask about room dimensions when booking.

Good 7,0
Pros: The location was perfect as I had an appointment at St. Michael's Hospital and it was within walking distance for it as well as restaurant access. The hotel is located very close to many areas of interest but due to time restraints and COVID 19, we were unable to spend time seeing. The staff was extremely pleasant, courteous and helpful. The chef was quite happy and willing to accommodate us with a delicious breakfast when requested 4 minutes before cutoff time.
Cons: Our room faced the University wall so not a great view. The bed was much softer than either of us like. I also thought there was supposed to be a microwave in the room. The entry/exit for the parking garage is just horrible - it is very steep and tight on the corners. It is great that a non-slip substance has been laid down on the floor but when driving a standard transmission car, rolling backwards is hazard of these vehicles and makes exiting the garage difficult while waiting for the door to open. If you roll back too far, the door starts to close again. I would not want to navigate this area in the winter months.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: I liked the overall security of the hotel even when ordering food I would get a call from the front desk to ensure it was ok to send the courier to my room.
Good 6,0
Pros: Older building updated. Windows didn’t open. Fabric carpet and chaise not great for public rooms or covid
Cons: Very far to access your car
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The location is wonderful, the room is good, the view is not bad, if you want to stair at other buildings. However, they did not tell us upon check in that we have to enquire house keeping. The following day we went out the city and came back to our room to find the room was not clean, the garbage and the towels as we left it. We have to call front dest which he gave us a garbage bags and instructed us to empty the garbages from the room and leave it outside the door. We cleaned our room and the used towels stayed with us until the next day we asked the front desk for our room to be cleaned.
Cons: The communication was very poor despite not being busy due to COVID lockdown.

Pros: Great location. Close to subway and eaton centre
Cons: Cheap price room but you pay extra for parking and wifi. Nearly 70 bucks just for those 2 alone. Rooms were nice but the ACC was terrible. Even at the lowest setting room never got below 23
Excellent 8,2
Pros: Good location, with an easy walk to a lot of cool areas. Nice accommodations. Friendly staff.
Cons: Parking cost $35 extra, and wifi was $10 per day. It's 2015 man, wifi should be freeee!
Okay 5,4
Cons: Beware of the crime in the area. There was a murder outside the front door. If safety is a concern you should not stay here.

Cons: The heating/air conditioner was loud.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay at the Drake Hotel. The staff are super friendly and professional. Sat on the patio after I arrived back to the hotel after dinner with my daughter. Had 2 glasses of the best wine I ever had! The beds are super comfy and the rooms are super clean. In the morning I enjoyed the best cup of coffee (on the house) and an excellent sour dough butter croissant! I asked for a later check - out and they didn't hesitate to allow me that. I would highly recommend the Drake Hotel. It's now the only hotel I will stay in when I'm in Toronto.
Cons: I would have liked to have on site parking. I understand the space is limited. I was able to park very close to the hotel. An elevator would have been nice.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We love how terribly awesome this place is! From the details in the décor to the friendliness of the staff, we felt totally at home. The bathroom situation in the room is not recommended for a first-time-overnight-getaway for a new couple. Let’s just say that the high level of acoustics and lack of complete privacy does not leave much to the imagination. My husband and I had to develop a “marriage-saver” strategy to keep our romance alive. Not a catastrophic situation - you just need a game plan to get through it!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I felt at home in my room and it had everything I could think of (even a makeup removing cloth). I was hosting a small bridal shower/bachelorette dinner and the receptionist went above and beyond to help place us at the best table on the rooftop restaurant.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Nice place nice.view
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Our closeness to Toronto General Hospital which was the main reason for the trip. Staffs help in room service for eating etc was very good,
Cons: The fact that Covid19 restrictions were in place so could not enjoy any shopping or sightseeing or restaurants. Confinement was not enjoyable, but necessary.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: They provide me a high floor room with a really nice view. Room was clean and comfy.
Cons: Because of the covid-19 situation, room service was not providing the service cleaning, which was not bad actually because I was feeling more safe as no one entered the room. However, each day I had to call for water, tea, or even my shampoo. It was better if they provide these automatically and put it at door each day instead of waiting for me to call everyday.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Excellent location for my needs for my needs - 10 minute walk from Union Station. Very attractive hotel, rooms are nicely furnished. Only issue was with TV. It did not work, called for maintenance, someone came within a few minutes. After that, was OK, except when you hit "guide" on remote, TV shut off - strange. HVAC system a little noisy. Other than that no issues. Good wi-fi. Check out quick and easy.
Cons: Not much - only TV issue.
Okay 5,1
Pros: Room was nice and spacious.
Cons: Some confusion when checking in meant I thought we were getting $25 per person food credit a night not $25 a room credit. This lead towards an unpleasant surprise when checking out.

Cons: Valet parking was terrible, check in process was slow and laboured.

Good 6,8
Pros: The woman, Madeline, who checked me in and out was exceptional and is the example for all of the other associates there. She made sure at check-in that I was comfortable, she asked about my flight in, and made sure that I had a map and was situated well to use the PATH and other means to get around Toronto. The hotel was clean and modernized and room service was excellent. The room service associates were exceedingly polite and friendly.
Cons: I arrived early Sunday and was in conference all day and jetlagged. I couldn't wait to put in a long rest since I wasn't in conference that morning. I put out the "Do Not Disturb" and latched the door. At about 9:00 am Monday morning housekeeping opened the door. When I got up to see what was going on I told her no services at this time. She said she was having problems with the door because the RFID was flashing yellow (which was explained to me the yellow light meant that the latch was on. She persisted until I let her in. She cleaned the bathroom and left, but my day was just going to have to start I guess. As I saw her throughout my stay she was not the most polite. Very terse "Hello"s, if at all.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Security lady was very nice although we were a loud bunch!
Cons: The room was rather tight for a "suite"
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Clean and comfy room with a great view of the City of Toronto. Loved the "Club" experience on top of the Sheraton ... it was worth the extra cost. It was great to be able to leave your coat and boots behind and go underground shopping!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything was great from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Being in the downtown area they did the best to make there guests free at home.
Cons: Besides the fire alarm that went off in the evening. That was somethings that wasn’t in our control. everything was good. No complaints.

Good 7,4
Pros: The staff was fabulous
Cons: The carpet in the room was filthy. There was a red stain between the beds that was unacceptable.
Mediocre 3,7
Pros: The room and the view.
Cons: The being woken up at 5:30 am by a fire alarm that went on for 30 minutes, only to have a jack hammer being used 2 hours after that. Barely anyone in the hotel spoke to us, and it took over an hour to check out and get my deposit back. Will never return.
Okay 5,3
Pros: Location was ok, staff was very nice
Cons: Hotel is very old and needs a serious facelift. Rooms need more modern ammenities.

Pros: Never any wait for the elevator or the Starbucks!
Cons: Quite a bit is closed like the Club room, vending machines and ice machines, the rooms facing the baseball stadium, due to low occupancy levels I’m guessing.

Pros: Our room overlooked the field. And it was fun to watch them prepare for the home opener. Staff was great very helpful and friendly.
Excellent 8,5
Pros: Supurb downtown location. The lobby bar view of the baseball field inside the Rogers Centre was pretty cool and would be awesome on game day.
Cons: Lousy view from our city view room on the 1st floor. Fitness center was nice but lacking a sauna , change area and sundries and other simple amenities.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The room was big and had a view of the rogers centre, which we loved. Really liked that the screen tv welcomes you by your name, I thought that was excellent customer service. The bathroom was nicely decorated and I felt it was different then the regular hotel room.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Location and available valet parking saved us a lot of stress. Very friendly, helpful staff
Cons: We were booked for 3 people and only had 2 coffee cups. No microwave which should be standard
Okay 4,5
Pros: the location and the room was clean.
Cons: the manager isnt truthful and gives a horrible scammer vibe. its a long story, but he just lies to secure a sale and is very deceitful. also hotel management was slow and needed to be called multiple times for small concerns. it was annoying having to keep calling and reminding them. also the hotel had loud and disturbing noises as early as 6am and throughout the morning which made waking up very unpleasant. also no toothpaste, and the tv remote was missing.
Excellent 9,7
Pros: The convenience, it’s close to the majority of the tourist attractions and great places to eat.
Cons: Only thing, the room had a bit of a pet smell too it. I have a dog at home, so it wasn’t enough to bother me, but definitely noticeable and unexpected.
Excellent 9,1
Excellent 9,4
Pros: We took train, then walked mostly through skyway bridges from airport. Staff was friendly, room clean and ready for us. One night stay, was a comfortable rest. Was able to use Netflix to watch a show.
Cons: Recreation areas not available during our short stay.
Good 6,0
Pros: The staff is extremely helpful and the location is great, right by the CN tower, walking distance to Union Station (about 10 minutes). The room I stayed in was very spacious.
Cons: The hotel was being renovated, so there was no convenient access to a pool or fitness centre (you would have to go to the Delta hotel a couple of blocks away for that); the ice machine/vending machine room on my floor was locked with no sign or note explaining the reason or where to go for an open ice/vending machine room -- maybe those are also being renovated. My particular room seemed to be in need of renovations as well (like caulking the bathtub). After the renovations are completed things should be OK, but I was really disappointed as I had no heads up about these issues and would have booked a different hotel if I had known about them.
Excellent 9,7
Pros: Stayed for a concert loved it
Excellent 8,5
Pros: it was a nice view and the water front wasn't to far from the amphitheater were i was going
Cons: it was over priced for a small hotel like that
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Large rooms and beautiful large bathroom. Staff friendly and happy to help
Excellent 9,7
Pros: Fast check in, complimentary breakfast above the norm, close to transport and entertainment
Cons: Expensive parking. Wifi should be free.

Pros: location was good. The room was a good size.
Cons: They perform cleaning between midnight and 3am. This kept waking us up. I've never been to a hotel that does that! They did give us a discount on the night, but still - I'd rather sleep well than have my money back. The breakfast situation was not handled properly in my opinion. Because of the pandemic, the usual facilities were closed. So we were given vouchers to a cafe downstairs. However, the selection of food was very poor and the fridge was often empty.

Pros: Location and cleanliness
Cons: Lack of microwave

Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Quality of cleaning, customer service, and more in the middle of this COVID-19 situation was outstanding
Cons: booking.com misrepresented the room. No enough information about the room was provided and the view was too bad

Pros: Friendly staff Great pool Big rooms Late check out
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, relaxing and the harbour view was just relaxing we actually ended up staying an extra night. Large shower, lots of towels. They brought in a microwave on request. Location is walking distance (even with a little one) to CN Tower and major central Toronto attractions. It's convenient that you have the parking even after checkout - until 6pm of your departure date. We came in March but I would consider it again in.summer to use the pool and patio.
Cons: Can't think of anything
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The reservation was booked over a month in advance on Kayak for a conference but upon arrival there was no record of my reservation. The Staff were very concerned and were able to get me a room in an otherwise fully booked hotel.
Excellent 10,0
Excellent 9,7
Pros: The staff was great and went above and beyond when needing assistance or needing to find a store
Cons: The grout in the shower was a bit dirty and well as the ceiling
Excellent 10,0
Cons: Cost of breakfast, but was still very great food!
Excellent 9,7
Pros: very nice updated hotel close to many attractions and public transportation.
Cons: staff could have been more knowledgeable about locations and attractractions
Excellent 8,5
Pros: Loved the full wall of windows with shutters on them in the bedroom and windows/skylights in the bathroom. Made the room so wonderfully bright in the mornings. Modern updates gave the room a high-end look and feel. Very beautiful. Very comfortable.
Cons: We experienced four minor annoyances. Firstly, the fireplace (which came with a remote - pretty cool) made squeaking noises when it was on. Secondly, the mattress was overdue for a change - my side had a significant body indentation in it. Thirdly, the lower spigot in the shower was not attached to the wall - it stuck out about a foot or so into the shower. Lastly, the old tub is still in the bathroom but really just takes up space (it's a short tub, so no spa-like soaking). None were huge issues, just minor details that should be addressed.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great location between Ontario lake and the CN tower!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The location was phenomenal, within walking distance of so much -- only a 10-15 walk from Air Canada Centre, a couple minutes from the Rogers Centre/aquarium/CN Tower, and just a short subway ride from the ROM and Casa Loma, etc. The restaurant behind the hotel (Amsterdam Brewhouse) was absolutely fantastic as well. The rooms were so clean and big and comfortable. It was perfect for a weekend getaway. On top of it, the staff was so friendly and helpful, making for an even better stay.
Cons: The only thing I really didn't like was the fact that parking wasn't free for hotel guests (it was $21/day), but I know that it's a hotel in the downtown area of a large city, so they can't really control that/you should expect to pay for parking.
Good 6,8
Pros: The location was pretty good with pretty quick access via street car to the main subway terminal. Staff was also very friendly and helpful.
Cons: This is definitely not a luxury hotel. Things look nice but the hotel is old with a new coat of paint. You can tell where the renovations were done on a budget so things looked nice, but were not actually done well. In addition, the walls were paper thin. We could hear the people in the next room having a conversation. We did get the hotel for a very good rate, but there is absolutely no way the rooms are worth normal price. The hotel itself is not bad, but it is by no means 'luxury.'
Mediocre 3,7
Cons: Settled into the hotel restaurant for dinner--seemed nice at first glance--only to discover that the only way for guests to use the pool facility is to enter and exit, you guessed it, right through the restaurant. Read: noisy kids, waterlogged floors, noisy commotion, did I mention noise? Yeah. Noise, lots of noise. What an incredible fail for Radisson.
Good 7,7
Pros: The breakfast french toast was delicious. Good downtown location.
Cons: Room didn't have blackout curtains, but it did have Eastern exposure (i.e. the early sun). I think the more expensive rooms had blackout curtains, but that should be a standard feature, not one you pay more for! Bathroom didn't have a toilet-paper dispenser. Had to unroll it on my own. Nor did the shower have a full closing door- only half the shower was covered.
