The proximity to Union station certainly made finding the hotel very easy and it was a pleasant opportunity to also catch sight of some local venues -- including the Hockey Hall of Fame as well as a plethora of restaurants. Walking into the building, I felt like I was in the wrong place, because what I paid and what I saw made me wonder if I had accidentally booked at the Ritz-Carlton instead. What a beautiful interior! Everything looked high end and the staff greeting me (at one in the morning no less) were phenomenal! They even upgraded my room free of charge! Crashing that early morning onto a nice clean bed, I felt vindicated that, while only staying for two nights, I had made a great decision in my accommodations. This place is certainly one I will look to whenever I get the chance to return to Toronto! Well done everyone :)
Knowing where the ice machine was took some exploring, but I was okay with it, as it afforded me the opportunity to explore the hotel a bit. When the machine turned out to be broken, the concierge at the desk had ice delivered to my room with no issue -- they even called my room a while later confirming if the ice had been received and whether or not I was satisfied with the service! Very considerate folk.
