Pros: service was great, the view was beautiful, the room was excellent. It seemed like the stars aligned for us, but that just may be the great service of the hotel. The weight room was great. The concierge made a reservation for us at this great restaurant downtown.
Cons: I can't really say there was anything I didn't like about the hotel. I did a lot of research on hotels in toronto, and this was the highest rated and for good reason. If you're on the fence, go with Shangri-La

Pros: Thanks to Collin at the front desk, my stay was perfect! He not only upgraded my room, but he ensured me he'd personally handle my concerns and he did just that. The hotel is central to everything downtown and you can walk everywhere.
Cons: Parking is a drag, as you must valet park and it takes a minimum of fifteen minutes to get your vehicle if you're lucky. It also cost 45.00 a night to park...

Pros: Staff was super friendly and helpful. In suite laundry was major bonus to wash and dry running gear before packing into suitcase. Room comfortable, well appointed. Historical building was neat, lobby nice, convenient location downtown. Valet parking was expensive but necessary as there appeared nothing convenient around. Well suited to transit and walking. Views were fantastic from 36th floor suite, and gym was great, with super views, on 17th floor. Sandwich/pastry shop off lobby was good, Starbucks immediately across street.
Cons: No in suite breakfast option, so either be prepared (and make use of in suite kitchen), hit restaurant downstairs (which seemed expensive), or plan for pastry or coffee shop mere steps away.

Pros: The staff was incredibly friendly and extremely attentive to our needs. We requested a quiet room and received what we asked for. Everything was immaculate and having a pool and a health club with a steam room was an added bonus to our stay.
Cons: If you drive and park over overnight leaving on a work day morning can be a little difficult as Union station is across the street and morning commuters tend to walk directly into the path of where you exit the Fairmont in your car. It would help to have a hotel employee come out and assist with clearing vehicular and pedestrian traffic so you can exit the Fairmont in your car safely.

We made 3 different attempts to the spa facility to try to use the pool on the 3rd floor & had our keys reprogrammed twice & later found out we were not using the right elevator for access. Then the Hot tub jacuzzi was out of order during our entire stay, but front desk was not aware of.

Cons: Due to Blue Jays game they had no parking available when we arrived. I had to find off site parking which cost $40 then move my vehicle to the hotel after the game and pay hotel $35. So $75 to park, was NOT happy with that. No free wi-fi. Charge was $12.95. The room was not cheap, do they really need more of my money for wi-fi? I travel often and I cannot remember the last time wi-fi was not included for free. No in room safe.

Pros: My room was large, beautiful, and clean. The hallways were a bit difficult to navigate and I got lost a couple of times until I got a acclimated to it. I went around in circles before I could find the elevator! The hotel is very special because it sits directly next to Rogers stadium, which is the home of the Toronto Blue Jays, & I understand that there is soccer there too. If you sit in the hotel's restaurant, you can look directly into the stadium, and it's a great deal of fun. However, I understand that there are some rooms that also look directly into the stadium but which do not have windows to the outside, so these rooms would make a sports fan very happy but perhaps others might be disappointed. Be sure to ask for a room that has a window to the outside if you don't want to face the stadium.
Cons: The concierge was very nice, and attempted to be very helpful. However, she did not give clear enough instructions on how to get around the city. Taking a cab was a big suggestion of hers, & I really wanted to learn how to use public transit. Perhaps part of the problem, however, is that Toronto's subway system has not grown as the city has grown. It is not that widespread or complex, and in order to reach many places, there's a great deal of transferring necessary between train and street car. So this is difficult for a tourist to learn quickly.

Pros: The staff is extremely helpful and the location is great, right by the CN tower, walking distance to Union Station (about 10 minutes). The room I stayed in was very spacious.
Cons: The hotel was being renovated, so there was no convenient access to a pool or fitness centre (you would have to go to the Delta hotel a couple of blocks away for that); the ice machine/vending machine room on my floor was locked with no sign or note explaining the reason or where to go for an open ice/vending machine room -- maybe those are also being renovated. My particular room seemed to be in need of renovations as well (like caulking the bathtub). After the renovations are completed things should be OK, but I was really disappointed as I had no heads up about these issues and would have booked a different hotel if I had known about them.

Cons: the manager isnt truthful and gives a horrible scammer vibe. its a long story, but he just lies to secure a sale and is very deceitful. also hotel management was slow and needed to be called multiple times for small concerns. it was annoying having to keep calling and reminding them. also the hotel had loud and disturbing noises as early as 6am and throughout the morning which made waking up very unpleasant. also no toothpaste, and the tv remote was missing.

Pros: We were in town for a concert and a Jay's game, the location was perfect. We love to be near the waterfront when in Toronto and this was our favorite location so far. The hotel is smaller in size which is nice, not too busy, it's clean and the staff was great. The pool area on the 5th floor is a great location to sit at night and enjoy a cocktail while people watching. We have no complaints about this hotel.

Pros: Loved the full wall of windows with shutters on them in the bedroom and windows/skylights in the bathroom. Made the room so wonderfully bright in the mornings. Modern updates gave the room a high-end look and feel. Very beautiful. Very comfortable.
Cons: We experienced four minor annoyances. Firstly, the fireplace (which came with a remote - pretty cool) made squeaking noises when it was on. Secondly, the mattress was overdue for a change - my side had a significant body indentation in it. Thirdly, the lower spigot in the shower was not attached to the wall - it stuck out about a foot or so into the shower. Lastly, the old tub is still in the bathroom but really just takes up space (it's a short tub, so no spa-like soaking). None were huge issues, just minor details that should be addressed.

Pros: The location was phenomenal, within walking distance of so much -- only a 10-15 walk from Air Canada Centre, a couple minutes from the Rogers Centre/aquarium/CN Tower, and just a short subway ride from the ROM and Casa Loma, etc. The restaurant behind the hotel (Amsterdam Brewhouse) was absolutely fantastic as well. The rooms were so clean and big and comfortable. It was perfect for a weekend getaway. On top of it, the staff was so friendly and helpful, making for an even better stay.
Cons: The only thing I really didn't like was the fact that parking wasn't free for hotel guests (it was $21/day), but I know that it's a hotel in the downtown area of a large city, so they can't really control that/you should expect to pay for parking.

Pros: Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Great location on the waterfront & boardwalk. Within walking distance of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (5 - 10 min) and Union Station (10-12 min). Spacious, bright rooms with very comfortable beds. Proxmity to restaurants i.e. full service restaurant on the fifth floor, coffee shop in the lobby, Sports bar and doughnut shop in the same building and near to two brewhouses/restaurants.

Pros: The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, relaxing and the harbour view was just relaxing we actually ended up staying an extra night. Large shower, lots of towels. They brought in a microwave on request. Location is walking distance (even with a little one) to CN Tower and major central Toronto attractions. It's convenient that you have the parking even after checkout - until 6pm of your departure date. We came in March but I would consider it again in.summer to use the pool and patio.

Cons: This is definitely not a luxury hotel. Things look nice but the hotel is old with a new coat of paint. You can tell where the renovations were done on a budget so things looked nice, but were not actually done well. In addition, the walls were paper thin. We could hear the people in the next room having a conversation. We did get the hotel for a very good rate, but there is absolutely no way the rooms are worth normal price. The hotel itself is not bad, but it is by no means 'luxury.'

Nor did the shower have a full closing door- only half the shower was covered.

Pros: I contacted the hotel to confirm our reservation as we had booked it online a month ago and was forwarded to reservations and the lady was not helpful at all and told me the booking was for two double beds even though my statement from Kayak said 1 King bed. She was rude and didn't want to assist and instead told me she can put in a written request with the front desk for a King room but we will only get it if there is one available. She said someone would get back to me to confirm and no one did so I called the hotel again and again they put me through to reservations and I spoke to someone else who was not helpful either. The third time, I called the hotel and asked to speak to the front desk and spoke with Leonard and explained the situation and the confusion on why we were being told we could not have a king room when this is what we booked. He went above and beyond and not only did he make sure we had a king bed, it was on the 35th floor and lakefront room. It was beautiful and we had a wonderful anniversary. Thank you Leonard.

After dealing with the reservation staff, it put me off and made me want to cancel my reservation as I was unsure if this was a reflection of what the service would be at the hotel. I did not appreciate that the woman I spoke with to confirm my reservation told me to call Kayak to fix the problem of why it said 2 double beds in the hotel system and not King. I told her I had a confirmation email from Kayak and could forward it but she did not want to help me.

Cons: The room smelled of smoke (one of the guests to my room also commented on this) and my allergies resurfaced. I told the front desk and they said it was not legal, like people don't bypass the smoke detectors.. who is monitoring and fining people for this?? The noise level was too high, I had to call the front desk 3 times during my stay (once at 1am) to get the people in the next room to turn their music down. Someone also put their key in the lock of the adjoining room door and was clicking it for 10 mins at 6 am and woke me up the next morning, I was pretty scared. The guests in this so-called higher end property are ridiculous and the hotel staff don't really care that much even after you complain. I will not be a guest at this hotel again.

Don't actually spend too much time there, but its nice to have the bar/coffee next to the lobby and though I didn't eat at it this time, the breakfast buffet was good in the past. Pros: The number one selling point for this hotel, is that it is located right in downtown Toronto on Yonge street and is one block away from the line 1 College subway station, which is also a stop on the 506 Carlton streetcar line. There are also an unlimited number of reasonably priced places to eat and shop within walking distance of the hotel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful
Cons: My room was directly across the hall from a bank of four elevators. Fortunately, the hotel was not very busy or it would have been disturbing. The walls are thin and not well sound insulated. I could too much from the adjacent room. There is a new building construction across the street, so you won't get to "sleep in" on the average weekday. Of course this is a temporary situation beyond Marriott's control, which will auto-rectify once the building is completed

Pros: I had never heard of this hotel and booked it on a whim by just looking at pictures online. The lobby, the hallways, the common areas etc... all fabulous. Didn't even visit the pool or hot tub on roof, but heard it was great! Plenty of space in the room, nice hardwood floors, restaurant is great - really good food and a great atmosphere. I would 100% stay here again.
Cons: If there were 2 bathrooms in the junior suite that would have been even better. Hotel is across the street from Salvation Army so not the most ideal location but easy to walk to different locations and getting a cab is pretty easy.

Pros: The location was good with a 10 min walk to centre. Door staff helpful and welcoming. Bar staff attentive and pleasant. Rooms are a decent size with good facilities although no bed side light or table on one side which wasn't good.
Cons: I had been in email contact with staff at reception before my trip to ask some questions. Their reply was quick and helpful. That said, I sent a request for flowers and a birthday cake to be put in both rooms as it was a significant birthday. I'm still waiting for a reply. After 2 days at the hotel I showed the email to a member of staff and asked they deal with it. We received a pre printed card from all the staff, no flowers, no cake but a chocolate corn on the cob thing! No idea what that was about. Reception staff stock answer to local information was that they're not from Toronto so didn't know. Disappointed with the service. Didn't speak to management as it appeared I was speaking another language so gave up.

Pros: Had a great time visiting Toronto and our stay at The Grand Hotel exceeded our expectations. This hotel is located in what I think is a perfect location, within 5 blocks of Young / Dundas square (the times square of Toronto) which is right across from the Eaton Centre. The subway takes you right down to Rogers stadium and the CN Tower, or you can easily walk it. Location 5 plus, hotel 5 plus, facilites 5 plus. Would definately stay there again. We took the paid upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite and stayed there with my brother and wife. It was a two storey suite - lots of room for everyone to spread out.

Cons: Avoid this hotel until the room as renovated. Paint is missing. Dirty furnitures. Don't sit on the sofa or you have to clean your clothes immediately. This hotel sounded like a nice deal. How disappointing. Need a complete renovation and avoid this place until every room is renovated. Staff was nice but they cannot change the fact that you have a horrible experience, a disgrace for a 4 star hotel.

Pros: I would recommend anyone to stay at the doubletree by hilton JUST so you can taste the cookie you get when you arrive and check in, they are warm and amazingggggg. Other than that, my stay was great and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Although the breakfast buffet was overpriced but it was very tasty. Overall, it was a great stay and I would look to stay there again next time I visit Toronto.

Pros: I came to the hotel because I was leaving my boyfriend and had a day before I could go back to America. I figured I'd splurge on myself and enjoy a soft comfty bed. Overall things were lovely and I enjoyed my stay.

Cons: 1st of all it was false advertisement as to what room I would be getting. I booked a room with 2 beds and I got one king for 2 people. I know what I booked & the 3rd party site switched it after booking. Anyway one of the managers who were dealing with people was very rude. To make matters worse they tell you that you can't have any visitors in your room after 9. Never heard of a stupid rule like this ever! Hilton won't ever get my money again.

Cons: Worst hotel MANAGEMENT EVER! Was stuck in DoubleTree Hilton's downtown Toronto elevator for over an HOUR and management did NOTHING!! Only reason I got out was because I called the fire department and THEY got me out. DoubleTree sent an old man with a flashlight over an hour later. If I didn't take it upon myself to call, who knows how many more hours I would have spent there. Then they had the audacity to NOT REFUND either of my 2 nights because it was booked w/ a 3rd party provider. I didn't get stuck in the 3rd party provider's elevator, I got stuck in YOUR ELEVATOR. Avoid at all costs as management will not take care of you. Any other hotel would have refunded and given multiple free nights.

Pros: The swimming pool is big for a downtown hotel and the breakfast buffet is worth the pricetag. The location is very central and Double Tree has made great efforts to save this older building.
Cons: The elevators are slow and unreliable and don't have a way to see what floor they are on while you wait. The breakfast buffet is good but repetitive. It would be nice to see a greater food variety over the days and they need Maple syrup and sugar-free syrup options.

Pros: The location was very convenient and it was easy to get to any part of downtown. It was also pretty easy to use public transportation to get there from the airport which was my concern. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within a couple of blocks of the hotel. Another nice perk was a movie theater a couple of buildings over which was great. The staff was really pleasant and accommodating. The cleaning crew was amiable and checked in about when the room would be cleaned. I really appreciated not feeling rushed to get so the room could be cleaned. I would definitely like to stay there again.

Pros: The location of the Hotel was excellent, right next to the Times Square of Toronto. So you are in the middle of everything of Toronto. If you get the right room (which we were lucky to get), you get an excellent view of the Times Square. We initially got a room on a lower floor, which I was expecting as we had booked through Kayak. I requested for a higher floor, to which they immediately agreed (something that I have never experienced before while booking through Kayak). The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The interiors of the hotel and the room were very well done giving it a luxury look. Being in Downtown Toronto, they have an enclosed parking for their customers, for which they charge of course, but reasonable charges for parking (A little less than 20 CAD for a day)

They charged us for the internet, but the charges were just 10 CAD a day for three devices (That's what we had asked for). To avoid that there are plenty of free internet cafes around the hotel.

Pros: Loved the location you can see Yonge Dundas square from the lobby!!!! Very updated and clean with friendly accommodating staff!
Cons: Would have been nice to have wifi and parking included when purchased through deal sites, included when purchased through The Bond Place website.

Pros: location was perfect for those that want to be near the heart of the action: Eaton Square and walking distance to Wellesley-Church. Rooms were on the small side but Scandanavian decor maximized space utility while still giving the room some style.
Cons: It's on the edge of "fringe" neighborhood, so be careful walking alone or at night. It's the price you pay to be close to the action. Likely because of the competitive price, more than half of the hotel was occupied by people over 70 for the weekend we were there. Weird since it's near the bars, clubs, strip joints, college dorms, and Eaton Square itself.

Pros: Just needed a safe, clean place to sleep.. Because who visits a new city only to stay in the hotel room? Nice staff, awesome bar across the street called The Imperial (just a dive, but good food and staff), I'll be back.

Pros: Location was great, the hotel is literally a block from Dundas Square and the Eaton Centre. We came to shop, so it was very convenient.
Cons: The room was a bit small, but it was clean and we had a pretty good view, so I can't complain. Good value for the price.

Pros: I was very happy with my stay. 3 nights in Toronto for business, but I needed to choose a hotel that would stay within my budget. The rooms are small, but that did not bother me. 15th floor, wonderful view. Very clean and the staff was very friendly.
Cons: The TV was temperamental and didn't always work. Besides that, no complaints.

Pros: The view from the 18th floor is incredible. It was cozy and appealing. Denny's for breakfast down the street. Burrito boyz rescued the night after checking out the bad tapas options. The bed is pretty comfy if you like em soft. Nice storage, nice cleaning staff. It's nice if you don't need too many extras. Security feature to use elevators with room key card
Cons: The bar tapas on friday and Saturdays, $10 for ruffles chips and marble cheese? Not worth it. Get a catering company to help out with the tapas options and get more revenue with better food. The pop machine ate my money. My receipt said i would have a deep soaking tub, i did not. I suggest the sheets get more attention with appearance. Internet bandwidth is limited, no netflix. Towels aren't big enough, not enough pillows, bed really bouncy like it's not on a proper frame. The heat was blowing in my boyfriend's face most of the night, should look into a better heating system. The

Pros: The location is tremendous, right on Yonge-Dundas square! Underground parking across the street with in/out privileges for a fair price. Staff was helpful and polite. Clean rooms with inexpensive (cheap?) but obviously newer fixtures and decor. I didn't have to pay for internet, they gave us an access code for each device we requested.
Cons: Room was quite small. Gym was small, hot, some equipment out of order. Thin walls or doors: loud! Not a luxury accomodation, but then again it's priced fairly low so you get what you pay for.

Cons: The rooms were large oh, but they were pretty much apartments that were turned into hotel. The furniture and floors was scratched, the bathroom was very basic and not very clean. The only benefit was there was a kitchenette and it was big in size.

Pros: Locations is amazing, just steps from Queen St subway, lots of restaurants, shopping, and coffee shops nearby. The staff are super friendly and the complimentary fruit infused water is a very nice touch
Cons: Actual entrance feels like it is on a side street. Next to a hospital which unfortunately attracts some less desirable elements nearby
