Hotels near Kitchener-Waterloo airport

Pros: Everyone here went out of their way make my stay in Kitchener such a pleasant experience. Not only were they happy to pick me up from the station and give me a ride in to town for an errand, but throughout I felt I had arrived to stay at the home of very good friends.. Many thanks for making me so welcome.

Pros: Friendly staff and free breakfast.

Cons: NO.

Pros: Breakfast was nice. Rooms have fridge and microwave, which is good.

Cons: Rooms need updating- rooms have a dated look. Elevators are quite old. Was charged extra for late check out. Free parking.

Pros: The hotel was clean and the staff friendly.

Cons: The only issue that I have is with BOOKING.COM I know they will say it wasn't them but only since I booked the room, I am constantly bombarded with spam phone calls from WestJet, Marriott hotels, Revenue Canada Agency, calls that are all in Chinese and the list goes on. I keep blocking these phone numbers but they just try calling from new numbers. This is the only new site where I had to provide a phone number and it started after the booking. I had the same thing with spam emails after signing with GroupOn - they denied they sold my email but after I contacted them the emails stopped.

Pros: The guest room, was excellent, no complaints at all. Best of all, the direct walk in shower.

Cons: The toilet seat got clogged instantly or was already clogged. The bed smelled bad. The bread was hm...

Pros: THE BREAKFAST WAS TERRIFIC AND VARIED. THE LITTLE COFFEE/BREAKFAST ROOM WAS CHEERY AND PLEASANT. THE STAFF MEMBERS WERE EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY.

Pros: very god location while visiting our daughter at Conestoga College. Great breakfast and close to major highways and routes through the city.

Pros: The staff were very nice, super helpful at all times. We were in town due to a family bereavement and the ease with which we were helped and able to sort things out was appreciated. There was a very nice man on the desk Friday am, whose name I didn’t get, but so good at his job and a really nice guy. Thank you x

Pros: Breakfast other then the eggs were good, staff was pleasant and helpful. Windows are able to be opened, which is a big plus. Pool area and hot tub appeared clean.

Pros: The room was big with a comfy bed. I liked the breakfast. The swimming pool and hot tub were nice. It was quiet too. It was like a mini holiday. Wish I could stay longer.

Cons: Not enough vegetable options for breakfast, beans were a little too "saucy". The bathroom looked like it had been renovated at some point but was poorly finished. The faucet in the bathtub seemed to shift when pulling the shower knob.

Cons: The ONLY thing is that the tub caulking and tiles need to be replaced immediately. I'm sure my room wasn't the only one.

Cons: Noise. Noise. Noise. Room on first floor next check out desk. Banging doors and clanging of dishes all night. Both nights even after bringing it to the night staff attention. Partner got sick from the breakfast. Terrible experience.

Cons: Found metal tie clip in children's bed. Not sure sheets changed. Sheets on both beds appeared limp and wrinkled. Room was right across from outside light and shade did not black out light sufficiently. The whole front of the air conditioner fell off when we tried to regulate temperature. We were not aware that temperature could be regulated by thermostat on wall. Staff did respond right away and he was pleasant and quick. We were offered a discount.

Pros: Helpful and upbeat staff. My voucher for breakfast was not given to me at the time of check in- that was fixed in the morning at the front desk after verifying I actually booked and paid for breakfast upfront. Convenient and quiet location, easy to get to restaurants and stores in the area (if you have a car).

Cons: I think property is about 10 years old now, so its getting close to time for refresh of the rooms. Lobby and breakfast area do look in good shape, but some of the rooms I stayed in (I stayed here several times) are starting to show some wear.

Pros: I found the girls in the restaurant very friendly and more than eager to please.

Pros: Have stayed at this location other times. Always meets my expectations. Easy access from the highway with a bright lobby that allows quiet time reading or simply watching people.

Cons: The mattress was lumpy and it felt like a coil spring was poking you in the back.

Pros: Staff was pleasant and accommodating. There was decent food available in the restaurant and served by a friendly wait staff. Beds were comfortable.

Pros: Not enough space in the I don't like -Saturday Our son had an accident so he was shipped by ambulance to McMaster hospital .My husband went and emptied the room at 11 pm since he had to drive to Hamilton.

Cons: The staff argued with him that he couldn't do that .They didn't give him the receipt .What kind of heartless people work there .Amd I still didn't get my receipt

Pros: The room was clean and well laid out. It had a fridge and microwave which we appreciated. The beds were comfy but not a queen size as promised, they were double beds.

Cons: The pipes in the washroom made an awful and very loud noise whenever the water was turned on or the toilette was flushed. So if anyone in a room above us or around us used the water it rattled the wall and screeched out that terrible sound until it was turned off. So we were woken up by it several times in the night. The breakfast was not free and it was certainly not worth the amount they charged. The staff were helpful but not pleasant. I never saw a smile from any of them.

Pros: Bed was great. Kuerig coffee-crappy blend I feel. Why not have a real brewed coffee at the entrance so it’s a much more welcoming area. 2.00 for a Kuerig cup AGAIN besides what was in the room, sucked. No Tim’s close by. Staff warned the free one was in our room. Not worth the 2.00 bucks!! Lol The tap had to be carefully turned off or it leaked in my room, but my room was comfortable BUT DATED FOR THE PRICE WE PAID!!! Hilton was not up to otherHilton we have stated at.

Cons: Kuerig only coffee! Coffee brewed for a welcoming aroma isn’t that expensive. The look was passé!! Old and staff did there job and were not as friendly as other staff in other hotels we met.

Pros: One thing I liked was I only stayed there 1 night.

Cons: Someone came to drop off my cott and couldnt maneuver it properly and asked me for a help and he dropped the cott so hard it broke my nail am its stoll in pain days a day and half later. The hotel was in Renos which made everything more complicat

Pros: The room was very clean and it was a comfortable environment, easy check in and the breakfast was awesome! Organized & clean breakfast area. Nice staff and importantly to me, PET FRIENDLY! My small-medium, mostly silent dog enjoyed his stay too.

Cons: Seems a lot of people were hanging out and drinking outside in groups in some areas of the property. Not near my room but a beer can was left on my patio.

Cons: Exterior appearance - property looks shabby/ run down : parking lot and paved areas in need of refurbishment.

Pros: Location was convenient.

Cons: Are dogs allowed here? There was a dog across the hall from us who barked half the night. It was crazy. I've never stayed at a place this noisy between the dog and grown ups slamming doors laughing and going in and out.

Pros: Super easy to book. I liked that I could reserve online, not have to pay until I checked out & could cancel at any time - no charge!

Cons: There are “No Smoking” signs posted everywhere yet the whole place reeks of smoke. Our room could’ve used a deeper clean and the building itself needs some work (carpets need replaced, wallpaper is peeling, decor is dated). But if you’re looking for the bare minimum, no bells or whistles, this is it!

Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Was a little bit of a random location BUT very convenient near all amenities and shopping,restaurants etc. The BEST PART WAS THE STAFF- the lady blonde working evenings/nights was amazing .......soooo Helpful and kind. Very accommodating!!!!

Cons: A used pod in the coffee pot, weird and scary black gunk trailing down from the toilet handle, carpet that made me wish I'd brought slippers, a lampshade that was beat up and stained... And yet the desk staff and the breakfast lady were so very nice!

Cons: It needed to be updated or at least refreshed. Bathroom could have been cleared of the cobwebs.

Pros: It was exactly what you pay for. Don’t expect a classy environment, but it’s for sure a nice place to stay when you don’t have a lot of money and just need a place to rest your head! Reasonably clean, I always bring Lysol wipes everywhere and didn’t feel the need to wipe anything down as it looked and felt tidy enough for my standards.

Cons: A lot of sketchy people... there was a drunk woman who was hilarious but also loud. Lol. My boyfriend and I thought it was pretty entertaining, but others may not. Her and her boyfriend smoked right outside our door, which isn’t idea with twins in the room, but it is manageable by just leaving the door closed; and not coming in and out of the room while they’re out there.

Pros: It was a great value, service from the desk was outstanding - got upgraded to a better room at no cost.

Cons: Hot water did not work - after 2 minutes of the shower running, the shower did not even try to push out hot water - turning the knob all the way to hot just turned off the water. Rooms also seemed a bit moldy, my allergies reacted to this.

Cons: Booked a smoking room, got a nonsmoking room. When complained manager told me "we dont give smoking rooms to respectable people", and didn't seem to care I was upset, or want to hear what I had to say, or offer a solution.

Pros: Location also fit our needs as a large group for a baseball tournament.

Cons: Needs a fresh coat of paint and a some new towels that don't feel like sandpaper.

Pros: Location was fine for our purposes and the room was clean. The continental breakfast was better than most!

Cons: You could tell the overall hotel needs a lot of work. It was also very hard to get in (our key didn't work on any of the outside doors and by the time we finally got in we had almost walked around the whole building). And then it was hard to find our room. Signage could definitely be improved upon! Upon booking we were told our room would be ready at 3:00 p.m., we came at 4 p.m. but could not get into our room because they were still cleaning it. We were asked to wait 20 minutes and although we waited in the parking lot (for our friends to arrive) the room was still not ready 3/4 hr later! We ended up standing outside our room waiting to get in! The cleaning staff were apologetic and told us they appreciated our patience. Perhaps there just aren't enough cleaning staff? The room was clean though despite that there are many things that are in need of repair. The paint job in the washroom was awful and there were a lot of other small items that needed replacing or to be repaired/painted. We've been in many other hotels for less money that were topnotch. This one is not worth the amount of money we paid.

Pros: We stayed in a family suite. The room was incredibly spacious. The staff was very pleasant.

Cons: The halls had a strong smell of cheap airfreshener and the beds weren't amazingly comfy. If luxury is your aim, it's not for you. If space and functionality is what you're looking for, it's great.

Cons: This facility I believe has seen better days. They try hard, but; any repairs seem to been done in a great hurry or by someone who has no clue as to what they are doing. Good effort, but fit and finish is atrocious. Not a bad place, but not really worth the money we paid. That's what i get for trying to save $10.

Pros: The location was central to Kitchener activities. The room was clean, warm and dry. Staff were polite.

Cons: Bathroom taps were falling out of sink. Toilet paper dispenser was off the wall. Smoke detector seemed to be missing. Room was nice size but old and tired. Similar priced hotel nearby offered pool, breakfast, lobby and modern facility. This had none.

Cons: Were sent to two rooms that were not ready. Were not really cleaned thoroughly. Found an onion ring on the floor near the bed. TVs were horribly out of date and remotes sometimes functioned.

Pros: The manager of this property went out of his way to help in any way he could. l am in my mid sixties, and slightly handicapped; and he bent over backwards to make sure my stay was as comfortable as possible, all things considered. Unfortunately, the premises were not up to his standards of customer service. He is to be lauded for his genuine kindness and care for a guest's well being.

Cons: l was in a designated "Non Smoking" room... the blankets and bedspreads were covered in cigarette burn holes, and a light layer of grit. The smoke detector had been removed leaving only bare wires. My clothes wreaked of smoke even though l don't smoke. The toilet paper had no holder. There was a coffee maker but no coffer or other supplies. There was a bar fridge which was so uneven, anything l put in it fell over when l opened the door. The area to hang up clothes was located over the fridge, so anything of any length laid across the fridge to. There was no clock or clock radio in the room, nor were there any hand rails in the bathtub/shower area. The lighting was very bad, casting a "yellow" glow over everything, causing me to use the wrong makeup, (l was going to a wedding). This property should not be featured on your list of hotels to recommend. Especially when it was advertised as $45 and turned out to be $73.00 ... if a property is advertised, at least have the honesty to use the the dollar value of the country wherein it is located, don't leave us to find out you have quoted US$ in a CDN city!

Cons: So many things didn’t work.....the TV remote, the lamp beside the bed, the smoke detector, the clock on the microwave. There were no washcloths and things were really shabby ie. cigarette burns on bathtub and in comforter. The pillows were lumpy. There was only one channel on the TV. The lamp cord had been repaired with duct tape and it short-circuited. Sparks flew!

Pros: We stayed for 2 nights and although this hotel is a bit dated, the beds were extremely comfortable and the room was large and had everything we needed. Great location, and the pool was fantastic! There is even a slide for the under 12’s. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Cons: Ripped bed sheets, shower needs major updating, only chair in the room was broken, entire hotel smells like an ashtray, balcony railing was being held together by rope.

Pros: The absolute worst place we have ever stayed. Should be condemned.
