Cons: Service in dining room was poor. The manager told me I was reading the menu incorrectly, then once I pointed it out to her, she acknowledged I was correct. Later came back to tell me that I should remember for future reference that what was printed on the menu was actually wrong and what she told me was right!

Cons: Room 419 heater did not work. It was freezing and engineering told us the the temperature was 75 degrees when it felt like 35 degrees. Heater was fixed after two hours; however, the heater was so loud, like an airplane engine.

Pros: The hotel looks and feels great and classy. Despite its location, it is really quiet. The hotel is located in close vicinity of downtown and historical center of Boston. For example, it took us 30 minutes of nice walk to get to Boston Tea Party museum. It takes 10 minutes of walk to get to the beautiful Boston Public Garden. The staff is great, helpful and polite.

Cons: I didn't like that a room with 2 queen sized bed was proposed as allowing 5 persons accommodation. In order to allow somehow comfortable sleeping arrangements, I had to order an additional folding double bed, being charged for it. Also, valet parking is a bit pricey

Cons: the reservationist talked me into a more expensive room and it turned out to be a long inefficient room even though a king bed but the bathroom was 4.5 ft. wide and 18-20 ft long w/ the door avoiding the long sink by no more than 5 inches when closing- I usually would have asked for a room change but was getting late for our Dinner reservation next door - We have stayed there many times as my Daughter is attending Curry College and was in boarding school for 3 years prior to that -but still like your hotel ! Cons: Very loud club music was played in the lobby on the first night I was there. It was clearly audible in my room and I had to wear the complimentary earplugs to take a bath let alone get to sleep it was that unpleasant. Not that the sound was completely cut out. The note accompanying the earplugs about the ‘vibrant atmosphere’ and ‘live music and entertainment’ (not to mention the fact that they hand out free earplugs) suggests this is a regular occurrence. Be warned, therefore, that you might have a sleepless night here!

Cons: We had late checkout but when we didn't need it we were charged for it anyway, that was a bit disappointing. The pool is closed for good but we weren't informed about this until we arrived. The guy checking ID to get into the roof top bar was rude and even though we were guests he sent us back to our room because we didn't have both IDs. We ordered cocktails. They weren't tasty and the presentation was terrible - just poured into plastic festival cups - we made fun out of it but at the price and considering the hype surrounding the roof top bar experience it was quite the let down so we headed out and spent the evening someplace else. Our room had a terrace but for our own safety we were not allowed use it but also the windows were really dirty so it took from the bit of view we did have.

Cons: I pre-booked 3 rooms and paid in full. Each of the rooms included breakfast and the total was $3900 for 3 nights. During check-in, the hotel clerk did not notice that breakfast was included but she said to tell the restaurant staff each time we went to breakfast. We did this and yet we were still charged! I double checked with the hotel clerk at the end of our trip and she was curt and short. She said it was all taken care of and that there was no balance due. I then receive an email with a bill for each room and I was overcharged for the breakfast (which is not a small amount at Marriott). I am beyond irked and feel like a fool for thinking that Marriott would know how to take care of a customer. Doubtful I will stay at one ever again.

Cons: We had to pay extra for a microwave oven (delivered to our room upon request) (we need one for medicinal use) (most hotels these days have microwave ovens in every room); the one we were issued was so low wattage it was tiresome to use. Parking was quite expensive. We were expecting a great breakfast but it didn’t look so great and also was expensive - cold buffet was one price (c. $22) (an array of cold cereals in lil boxes) and a higher price ($30) for custom fried eggs - pfft! The buffet looked very picked-over so we ate elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. This hotel was no bargain. Their recommendations for dinners were also a bit over the top - especially the nearest seafood place.

Beautiful hotel great location only disappointing thing was we weren’t told the bar and restaurant were closed for renovations and roof top bar and pool were only seasonally and were closed to. Pros: The room was saturated with a chemical air freshener but other wise clean. Most (not all) of the staff was capable and helpful. All other features were poor; certainly not worth the booking price.
Cons: Way too expensive for quality; chose because of location. On my way to a meeting, I intended to drop car with valet and have bags brought in. Was NEVER mentioned the hotel was UNDER CONSTRUCTION: NO valet, NO restaurant, NO bar, and "tired" overall.

Pros: Restaurant was closed for renovations but there were plenty of restaurants near by. Rooms were very nice. Very convenient to get around. Not expensive to take a cab to the harbor or other attractions. Big bonus is the Old Town Trolley makes this hotel one of its stops. Staff was great! Rooms were clean and bright.
Cons: Found the hotel to be very pricey so its hard to say its a good value in that respect BUT if you look at the prices of all the other hotels in Boston then it is no more ridiculous than the rest!!

Cons: The hotel is being renovated. The entrance is a little clunky right now and there were a few details in the room that need work (wiggly faucet handle, scuffed carpet). All in all, nothing serious.

Pros: Only back from Boston stayed in this hotel for 6 night. Beautiful hotel great location only disappointing thing was we weren’t told the bar and restaurant were closed for renovations and roof top bar and pool were only seasonally and were closed to. Would have been nice to been told this when booking... staff counldnt have been more friendly and helpful they were brilliant for exception of one staff member heard him saying he was a director wasn’t very help at all and not very friendly.

Cons: The room was spotless however it was extremely small and the toilet was tiny. I am 6ft 4 inches tall and the bathroom was exceptionally small so I really felt it. The wardrobe was tiny and had the ironing board, iron, safe and coffee machine in the wardrobe. We had 2 large suitcases and a carry on that we had to open on the bed each day as there was literally no room to put our clothes into the wardrobe. The pictures are very very misleading. But do not let this stop you from staying here as it is a really good hotel which is in a perfect location for all Boston has to offer. Just check the room sizes first.

I booked the rooms and prepaid.24 hours after I booked was notified by email that the hotel was under renovations and the bar,resturant and in room service was closed and not available,No Ice machines either. I got to my room and the air conditioning was running full blast. It was freezing. I turned then unit off but an hour later it was still cold,and the thermostat is so old there was no way to control the temp, I called the front desk and was informed that it was because it was not time to switch over to heat. I was sent a space heater for the night, I paid a lot of money for this room for one night and felt like I booked at a motel. The staff couldn.t have been more accommodating, so my thanks to them. This place should have been closed for renovations and they should disclose this to people booking. I was informed on checkout that they were closing the hotel from Oct. to April 2020. Very disappointed . I have stayed here before and I know the building is old but it has always had some old boston charm. I believe they have new ownership but I,m not sure I will ever book again.

Cons: The room was from the '70's ! Evrything was 30 years old ! Terrible for $263 per night ! Please see the pictures attached. The room was extremely noisey and either too cold or too warm. The batroom door was stapled together, the tiles were broken and loose, there was no closet, just a rack, the aircon was a mobile one which kept half the window ajar adding to the noise ! and the telephone was from the 1970's with a light flashing throughout the night ! Never again, not even for $50/night !

Cons: The moment you step out the hotel doors you are surrounded by homeless people on drugs. This is not a good location to be walking anywhere from. There was even used needles on the side walk outside the hotel.
