Cons: Not a huge issue, just didn’t expect to hear the El train so well especially since we were on the back of the hotel. Ordered room service twice and did not receive the drinks I requested. I did not raise the issue to the staff so they were not able correct the issue. I am sure they would have corrected it if they knew.

Pros: I enjoyed the fact that the hotel takes security seriously; the staff knew my name; the hotel's view of the city is unbelievably beautiful; the staff was very friendly, prompt and accommodating. I would certainly consider staying at this hotel again.
Cons: I did not like the lines at the first floor elevator area waiting to go to the open bar on floors 21/22. There must be a better way, at such an expensive, high class hotel to handle the lines and crowds that hotel guests do not have to see them.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: Bed was super comfy; lay out was nice. I enjoyed the location. Felt very fancy with great views
Cons: We checked in early and dropped off our bags, no problem. Then we got the notification that our room and digital key was ready, so we made our way back. When we tried to get our bags, no one was there to talk to so we had to go to the front desk and they were going to send them up. We went upstairs with our digital key ready and it didn't work. We had to go back to the front desk, only to have the staff not believe us that it didn't work. They gave us a regular key and we went back upstairs. I had wanted to freshen up but the bags had not arrived. We waited about half an hour but ended up going back to the front desk to remind them to send the bags up. After that, the stay was fine until I was over charged for the room and had to call the hotel to get the correct charges.

Cons: Spa staff not on hand Carpet was fraying. Trim on mirror damaged. Clean enough but little attention to detail. No pool

Pros: The room and location were excellent along with the service and cleanliness of the hotel. Will recommend highly to any interested travelers!
Cons: My wife and I both agreed the pillows were flat and could be puffed more for a corner room but other than that the premises are beautiful and we will stay with you again next time in Chicago!

Pros:
Cons: We booked 4 rooms initially and then added a 5th room. 3 of the rooms took 30+ minutes to complete check in as they could not find the bookings in their system. In addition we emailed the hotel a week earlier to request meeting room space, email never replied to and when we arrived and inquired very slow to resolve the issue. Ended up booking a 5th room to act as a meeting space but having been told that would be ready in 1 hour, then had to wait 4 hours.

7,0 Good
Pros: Great location, great staff, historic bldg/location, great view of the lake, Navy Pier, and Soldier Field.
Cons: I'd avoid a lake view if I were you. Crazy I know, but I'll tell you why. Between you and the lake is a train yard. An industrial train yard with metal clacking, back up beeping, train whistling, etc. That's not a big deal unless you have your windows open. Well, we did because in the winter a building this age doesn't have AC. Literally, the building cannot cool and heat at the same time, so unless you're comfortable sleeping in a room that's in the mid-70s then you'll need to crack the windows. To add insult to injury, even with cracked windows the room is still warm. In the end, a great hotel in a great location that provided for a poor sleeping experience.

Pros: The most amazing hotel ever! Very spacious apartment style room that had a thoughtful layout. Windows on every wall-lots of light. The bathroom suite had a separate tub, separate shower and toilet with door. Excellent location, walk to everything.
Cons: Everything was excellent - will stay here again. I won't even look for a better deal. This is it!
5,8 Okay
Pros: The lobby area was clean as was our room. It was comfortable enough
Cons: Getting to the hotel was a challenge (using google maps put us under ground) The front desk clerk was incompetent - we had paid for our room in full prior to arrival & she kept asking us for a “credit” card for payment (the card I used to pay is both debit & credit but she “insisted” I give her a plain credit card). I finally told her that the hotel had already taken the money out of my account on “this particular card” then she looked at her computer & saw that I was correct. But ran the card for $100 in case we used “incidentals.” (Haven’t checked my card yet to see if they charged us “extra” for anything) The 2nd thing that happened the next morning: we went downstairs for breakfast & on our return to the room neither one of our keys worked in the door to open it. Luckily the housekeeping people were on our floor to open the room for us - this was around 10am & check out wasn’t til noon. We just gathered our things & left.

Pros: The location was fantastic for walking around Chicago. And the staff was helpful and friendly. The complimentary water was also much appreciated.

Pros: Perfect location, easy access to shopping, restaurants and museums
Cons: A/C unit blew like a box fan and was quite annoying and not adjustable, toilet clogged and took time for staff to assist, we had a rental car and parking onsite was convenient but outrageously priced...in hindsight I would have booked elsewhere.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Suite type room for affordable price. Wonderful access to Michigan Ave, Art Museum, and river. Breakfast included was great.
Cons: Charging $300 for potential incidental usage is exorbitant.
7,4 Good
Pros: Great downtown location
Cons: An elevator was down for a major overhaul, fine. One of the three remaining was getting stuck on floors for extended periods of time, and we heard it even fell four floors while someone was on it. Customer’s safety is clearly not a number one concern for this hotel.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: Great price and location.
Cons: The bathroom was not clean, there was a previous guest's hair all over the shower walls. It was pretty disgusting.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The check in process was easy and efficient - super friendly front desk folks - the decor and comfort of the room was great the views from our floor were fantastic. The valet staff was very friendly and efficient. House keeping took care of our needs and requests
Cons: We could not get a luggage carrier to bring our bags down the last day - one of the elevators were not working - the ice machine on our floor did not work properly. The valet parking was way to expensive for a guest accommodation.
10,0 Excellent

Cons: I was charged three times and I’m now waiting for some charges to be reversed
7,7 Good
Pros: Riverfront central location next to Michigan Avenue. The view outside the window of the river is great, Trump Tower is a matter of taste. The gym is fantastic with nice equipment, a great view and it is empty in the mornings. Hoyt's is a nice bar.
Cons: No minibar or snacks for kids. Big complimentary Bottled water, creamer and sugar for coffee are prerequisites for a grand hotel. Parking is tight even with valet parking with congestion outside the hotel.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanliness, room size was really good. The view is awesome! Many restaurants around, transportation, etc...
Cons: There is no microwave what is bad. The thermostat looks like not working, not sure. The room temperature was not bad but we would like a little warmer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: That shower in the king room was to die for.
Cons: No air vents in the bathroom.
7,1 Good
Pros: The staff was excellent. Very helpful, respectful, and pleasant. The doorman, Mark, had exceptional guest service skills. I felt completely taken care of.
Cons: The room was hot and muggy, which didn't change despite having the thermostat set as low as it would go. The elevators took FOREVER. It was not uncommon to wait 10-15 minutes once calling the elevator to have it arrive. Food in the hotel was fine, nothing special and expensive.

Cons: The room was hot the whole week i was here. I tried putting the air conditioning on but it didn’t work. The internet is free and doesn’t require an type of security. Being free to guests is great but I was here for work and couldn’t use the WiFi because my company’s security policy does not allow my computer to connect to unsecured networks. The extra blankets in the room were a little stinky and I had to had for new ones. It seemed like they never wash the extra blankets.

Pros: Great location, staff was pretty friendly. Nice having the Elephant & Castle attached for food and drinks, no problem bringing beverages from the bar back to the room.
Cons: The king bed we booked was very clearly 2 twin beds pushed together with a zippered-in gap filler that sort of worked. So it was wide but there was a dip in the middle and my feet were hanging off of the foot of the bed, I'm 5'9"... Some trash that wasn't ours under the bedside table when we arrived. As others have said the walls are very thin.

Pros: We liked our room. In the past, our room was more like a suite, which we loved. We were a little disappointed. We love the lobby, lobby/bar. So beautiful! There was a tall, thin, black gentleman on the 23rd floor who was so welcoming, gracious, and engaging. He made us feel special. I wish we remembered his name so we could give him proper recognition!

Pros: The location was perfect - walking distance to the millennium park and the Christmas market, lots of food options nearby (Pizano’s right around the corner) and surrounded by bus stops and subways. Our room was very clean and cozy. The staff was very welcoming. Something else I really liked about this hotel (not sure if other practice this), was that they would check in with you about your stay through text messages, on the number you provide at the beginning of your stay, which made it so much easier to resolve any issues.

Pros: Location, two on-site restaurants (had a wonderful prime rib sandwich at one), plus to find out this was the birthplace of what we know as the Brownie. (which I also had, quite delicious). Great price for a Monday night stay.
Cons: No coffee-maker in the room. (granted there is a Starbucks on the ground floor, but still....the room had a mini-bar, so there's no excuse) Not a decent view from the room, but that's okay. Bathroom vent was overdue for a cleaning.

Pros: The lobby is gorgeous. The location is great.
Cons: Not having free wifi is unacceptable. 13$ a day? Insane. They did not clean our room although it was empty from 11-11. All customer service was lacking. The wait for the elevators was quite literally 5 minutes each time. No coffee maker in the room Despite its History and beautiful lobby, there are far far better hotels in Chicago.

Cons: The first night, we experienced a broken shower head holder. The staff said they will fix it the next day, but they did not. The second night, we called for shower caps and waited for more than an hour, nobody came. The service is really terrible.

Pros:

Cons: Not really a concern or a “con” of this place because we honestly loved our stay here, but you can hear the noise from the neighboring rooms and people passing by in the hallway. We got lucky with our neighbors and noice wasn’t an issue whatsoever. Honestly though, for the value you get, a few seconds of passing by conversations aren’t that big of a deal and you don’t really notice them in the end.

Pros: The environment. It had this alt/bohemian/vintage vibe that I loved.
Cons: I was expecting a somewhat bigger room since I shared it with three other people. But, it was good for the price I payed and for a night.
7,0 Good
Pros: I love the thick blanket and big towel, yet the comfortable bunk.
Cons: What bothering me most is the security guy in front of the door of the bar (or whatever). He always asked me for my ID whenever I wanted to go inside at night. I understand the U.S has a rule of drinking age but don't you guys have a way to keep the information of your customers and let them in? There doesn't seem to be any chair to sit at night except the corridors to the rooms because the bar room requires an ID all the time. Not comfortable at all. The kitchen is small and doesn't look lively. The breakfast was pretty poor because the buffet area was under refurnishment.

Cons: The room is small, doesn't have any view. The bed only have 2 pillows and the bed is queen no king an it´s supposed for two persons.
