Pros:
We were there only a short time. The front desk staff was very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
Cons:
There was a lingering smoke smell in the bathroom. In addition, it would have been nice to have queen sized beds instead of full size. It was small for two people to share a bed!

The room we had was recently renovated, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Took shuttle back to airport in morning to catch the train downtown. Great for an overnight.

Pros:
Staff was very helpful and courteous, the shuttle drivers were prompt and the room was updated with very comfortable mattresses. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels and washcloths. We had a great dinner at the restaurant at the end of the building, Shoeless Joe's, which was easy to walk to and open late. With free breakfast, Wi-Fi, and proximity to O'hare airport, can't beat it.

Pros:
My room was nice once I got into it.
Cons:
BUILDING: When I arrived, I literally thought the hotel had shut down because the property and building looked like a mangled construction site. I found the entrance and attempted to check in. CHECK IN DISASTER/ CUSTOMER SERVICE: I gave the girl my name and she laughed at me and told me I was in the wrong hotel. I confirmed the hotel name and showed her my confirmation email. She gave me a confused look and said that I didn't have a reservation because I must've booked last minute... I booked two weeks beforehand. She then told me that she would just run my card and book me a new room- but I had already paid!!!! Then she told me to print out my confirmation email from their computer, but both browsers were so old, it wouldn't pull up my email account. After going back and forth, she had me send my confirmation email to her personal email because the company email wasn't working. She NEVER apologized for the inconvenience. Finally, she gave me a room key, but didn't give me any sort of directions to my room (so I thought it must've been an easy room to find). Wrong. They had a sign that blocked the hallway saying that this part of the hotel was closed. My room was down that hallway. Construction everywhere. Smelled awful. I ended up walking around for a bit in the creepiest looking hotel (think murder movie style with construction and plastic sheets hanging over certain hallways), then just ignored the sign and walked behind it to get to the room. BREAKFAST: I woke up the next morning, checked out, and walked to the attached restaurant for the complimentary breakfast that comes with the room. I got there and the greeter accused me of stealing breakfast (terrible, stale food) because I didn't have a room key. Awesome.

Pros:
So the good, breakfast for the most part is a great selection, the beds were clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and the shuttle service was a life saver.
Cons:
There is an expansive amount of construction going on around the hotel (not their fault but something to be aware of), hot water in the showers just doesn't happen which is odd because the bathroom sink 2 feet away will reach at least 10 or 20 degrees warmer, our room was very recently painted as evidenced by the fresh paint smell, we cracked our windows for the first day and it didn't bother us as much after that, and finally that breakfast, while they do have many of the staples to get you by the specialty items of the day are nothing to write home about, you'll get better pancakes and eggs at the McDonalds across the street.

Pros:

Cons:
Water pouring out of light fixture in bathroom. Perhaps explained the disgusting smell of the room, though the odor in the second room was not better. Our two 10 year old children cried because they did not want to stay in a room that smelled so bad. When we complained, we were told no other rooms were available. Had it not been after midnight when we arrived I would have switched hotels.

Pros:
Convenience of restaurants attached and proximity to O'hare and Convention center. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When our room keys didn't work originally, the woman at the front desk personally came up with us to make sure the new ones worked.
Cons:
Upon arriving we were informed we had been given a room with only one bed, despite having four people listed and requesting a double bed room. Thankfully the staff recognized this and asked if we wanted a different room. There was a late night sports bar connected to the hotel that blocked out parking at night, had to drive to the top of the neighboring parking garage. The rooms were poorly maintained and ancient, with widows that wouldn't open easily and irritating curtains. The air conditioning unit didn't work at all except the fan, consequently the room was ungodly hot and muggy. The elevator was ancient and creaky and felt very unsafe.

Pros:
Reasonable price Acceptable room quality and cleanliness Convenient to O'Hare airport with shuttles every half hour Reasonable facilities - breakfast, exercise room, snacks & quick meals (e.g. mac & cheese) for purchase by front desk Nice TV
Cons:
Room wasn't cleaned before my stay ... or if it was, it was cleaned very poorly. There was a dirty washcloth hanging on the shower curtain, for example. No shampoo (I assumed this was because of the above, but based on other reviews, maybe shampoo just isn't a service offered by this hotel) Poorly-maintained rooms - missing grout & caulk, minor damage to walls and wallpaper, Check-in was a disaster; the desk clerk kept asking for a "voucher" that Kayak had theoretically sent me. Eventually, another member of the staff told her to just ignore it and I was allowed to check in after a 10 minute delay. And this was all after Kayak's "online checkin",m which apparently served no purpose whatsoever. Hotel was partially under construction, with paint fumes around where my room was located. I was not informed of this ever; I only knew because of the "out of order" signs on the elevator and the construction tape where my hallway ended and turned into a work zone.

Pros:
Less than a mile to the Allstate arena and about 2 miles to the outlet mall. Great location for having a fun night out.
Cons:
Very rude staff. The front desk attendant acted as though we, the customer, were an inconvenience for wanting to check in and ask if the complementary shuttle included a ride to the Allstate Arena. A member of our group called the front desk later that day to ask another question and was treated rudely yet again. If you are looking for cheap rates close to specific attractions and don't let rude staff spoil your fun, then sign up for this hotel. If you want to be treated like a paying customer who is trying to enjoy a relaxing vacation, avoid this place. Very rude staff. The hotel is older, so the years of smoking are soaked into the hallway. At least that's how it smelled. The room did not smell like this, but the temperature was difficult to regulate. The beds served their purpose, but there was no comforter. Just a thin blanket between two sheets. The room gave a dingy/unclean feeling from the walls to the carpet. I will definitely try a different hotel next time I visit.

Pros:
The place is near O'hare.
Cons:
1. Arrived at hotel and they said I did not have a confirmation. More than an hour later Kayak told me they finally admitted that they had a "glitch" on their email system. Wasted couple of hours, but no apology from the hotel. 2. Waited for more than ONE HOUR at Rosemont Convention Center for the complimentary shuttle ride. Called the hotel three times. First time they said to wait and it should arrive every hour on the 15 and 45. Called the second time and they said they were very busy and there is a delay. Called the third time and they said they are busy and will come by when available!!! The driver finally came and told me NO ONE told him to come by in the past hour. In fact, he dropped off some people near by at the mall not long ago. He said he could have come by easily if he was informed. I can see several of the employees at the hotel do care about their guests. The assistant manager and few others could care less. They should simply go and get another job.
