Cons: Our room was literally NEXT to the train station so it was loud. The sound of the train was okay, nice actually, but the announcements from the station were pretty loud throughout the night. Our room did not have an AC unit - I notice many others did - and we were not informed. You cannot sleep with the window open with that train so if it's warm, you're sweatin' it out!

Cons: 2 cleanliness issues with hair, dresser and towels.- long strands. I'm bald, male. Refrigerator, 1st nite, saturated carpet around it. Reported it, nothing done. This is an older building, walls and ceiling are thin. 2nd night above neighbors moved in. Could hear them walking, and if there room was as small as mine, they must have been doing laps like a hamster. The saving grace, the white noise from the squeaky ceiling fan. This is every issue I had for a 3-day stay. The place is worth the rate with the understanding of the product. Perfect for a place to sleep after spending the day and evening exploring the city.

Cons: noise to cta. small elevator. breakfast was not the best.

Cons: Just coming in, you get a feeling you made the wrong choice. The lobby is scary, the long halls with carpets from the 1900's that have never been cleaned, the smell, the tiny elevator, and the noise from the train. Know what you're going in for.

Cons: The halls and lobby were overwhelmed with a potpourri/urinal cake smell that was clearly an attempt at masking something even less savory.

Cons: Staff was not very social or polite. Breakfast was just ok.

Cons: The rooms were small that is for sure. I didn’t like having the toiletries attached to the wall it made it feel like a motel. It would have been nice to have a vending machine in the hotel but all you have to choose is the mini bar to choose from. The heater/AC is very hard to get comfortable having window unit for one and a wall unit for the other.

Cons: The woman who works the front desk was very unfriendly. Not very welcoming at all.

Cons: The valet fee is exorbitant, but I know that’s just how it is in Chicago, but if I drove again I’d try to find somewhere else to leave my car.

Cons: The lobby/ checkin area was just... A little weird. The singular front desk agent was overworked and harried, and the open-area of the lobby is just small enough that everyone seems to be staring at each other, but just large enough to bring enough bodies in to make it feel really odd. But get past check-in and the hotel was great.

Cons: Need some protein in the breakfast otherwise the breakfast was very nice. Only one elevator and it was slow. Took stairs a lot which is not a bad thing but if I had my children with me it would have been an issue.

Cons: I've stayed at the hotel many times before. The location is great, the staff are very friendly and the hotel is very well taken care of. They are constantly upgrading and improving the hotel. My only complaint was that during this visit, they were obviously doing some renovations in a room close by. I was awakened at 8am to the sounds of a saw or tile cutter. I was hoping to sleep in and that definitely wasn't possible.

Cons: Well, the elevator broke down. This has never happened before, & there is not much that a hotel can do about such an event. If a part is not available, you can't fix it with a rubberband. Nightmare for the hotel, unpleasant for a guest, but just one of those things.

Cons: That we had to pay for parking and valet service, but I think for the city it was probably pretty reasonable.

Cons: With not having food onsite, vending machines would be lovely or even a small commissary at the front desk. Bottled water used to be included but is now not available at all. I would have gladly paid to have some in room,

Cons: On our last day of a great trip we needed to check out by noon but we're planning on doing a little more touring so we thought we had to put our luggage in our car after checking out. We asked the valet where the car was parked so they wouldn't have to bring it around for us to merely put our luggage in it. We followed his directions (parking garage around the corner, top floor) and ended up climbing 8 flights of stairs with our luggage to the top of the garage as we hadn't found and elevator. Upon reaching the top we were greeted by a locked door. We started making out way back down through the garage itself to look for our car and couldn't find it so we headed back to the hotel where we got lectured by the valet attendant because apparently we could have checked out luggage at the hotel after checking out. Very upset that we put in all that effort just to be scolded by the valet attendant for whom we were trying to do a favor.

Cons: Cramped room and bathroom. Surprised to see ear plugs with the toiletries, but another reviewer did say that the walls are paper thin. I didn't notice any noise and didn't need to use them.

Cons: Towels were small and rough and could've used new sheets.
