They did not honor my reservation for room type putting me in a conference room with an uncomfortable murphy bed they called a king the first night - it was probably not a queen. The next night the room was a King suite but dated, and King bed uncomfortable. Terribly outdated small tvs.
Nice clean boutique hotel, great location on Chicago’s north side, desk clerk was very nice. Decor throughout looked nice, inclusion in the room. The wet bar items in the room were fairly reasonably priced.
This was an incredibly tiny room. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were terrible, the doors in the hallway slammed every time someone went in or out and kept waking me up, I hardly slept. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. My window opened onto an alley with a wall of Windows, and there was no privacy without completely blocking all of the light. I got the room through Priceline discount and wondered if I was given a crappy room because of that.
Our room was showing its age with peeling wallpaper, worn carpet and dowdy furniture. Time for a face lift.
Comfy bed. Friendly staff. Good location if you don't feel like staying downtown.
The bed was comfortable.
The room was a little bit small but perfect for just me.
Walked to Cubs game! Walked to amenities and dinner, great location!
Old building, but tasteful decor and very clean! We didn't have time to enjoy the cookies or breakfast but overall a good stay! Staff was very nice.
Quaint hidden treasure within walking distance fro
Quaint cute hotel hidden among a nice neighborhood just away from the busyness of Wrigley. We walked to Wrigley stadium 2 xs during our stay. The hotel room was small but clean and comfortable and the prices for the mini bar were a nice surprise!
Our room was really small and the breakfast was a sub par continenta,l but our bathroom was really nice and they had robes and all the hair/body soaps necessary so no need to bring your own.
I would recommend it
It was located in a great area, I had everything I needed. As I was checking out, one of the housekeepers ran all the way down to give me my computer charger!
I thought the cost was a little high for the size of the room, but not big deal.
Great hotel for transition to Chicago home.
I was able to travel to work downtown easily for a new job. It was very convenient to stay here while waiting for my new apartment to be ready. They were able to store my personal items until I could move to the new apartment. The entire staff was very friendly.
Staff, Housekeeping, and Facility
The staff at the Majestic Hotel are all exceptionally friendly and helpful. Also, the rooms and facility are clean and well maintained.
The floor in room 311 is creaky in a few places. I suspect that could be a problem for the people in the room below 311.
Was close to the Metro which was why we were up in the city. Nice little hotel. Rooms seemed a bit dated but was a nice atmosphere. Really enjoyed our stay.
Bed was a bit uncomfortable but most are when I travel.
Great Stay and Great Value for the luxury
The room was clean, there were 2 refrigerators and a microwave and a sitting room with plenty of space (although bathroom was a tad tight)... The halls were clean, mostly quiet and the staff was always going out of their way to help and be personable. Breakfast actually had protein (I'm a nutrition expert) instead of just 27 selections of carbs) so it was good enough to use as a real first meal and not a start/holdover till a real meal. We loved it. Wife and I might even make going there a tradition each holiday season.
The ceiling fan in the room rocked enough when turned on that it made racket with the pull string as it swung around, and the radiator for heat was awkward to figure out. Parking is "close" but not in an adjacent building; it's oddly on the other side of the block the hotel is situated on and requires wrapping around the streets to get to...this is more than offset with $22 per day parking with coming/going rights... For Chicago, this is cheap and handy, since you can leave and reset the countdown at any time (the 24 hour countdown).
Influenced by the décor and atmosphere of English estates, the Majestic Hotel is a homey and stylish boutique hotel located in Chicago, IL. Located very close to Wrigley Field, the venue pays homage to baseball in its public spaces with Chicago Cubs decorations, baseball bats, and more.
