Pros: Classy decor, clean throughout. Location is great in central manchester. Rooms are well equipped, we had cheapest room but it still had a bathroom bigger than most hotel rooms in manchester! Coffee maker, bug tv, comfy bed. Hotel gas a rooftop bar with table service which was excellent. Staff are bang in form!

Cons: Oh hotel gotham... those drinks prices! Its expensive! Two cocktails and a bowl of crisps came to over thirty pounds! They were lovely, but you would expect them to be for that price!!

Cons: The room was small but stylish and comfortable. I ordered room service and was very disappointed with the food. The portion size was extremely small and the food was very expensive compared with what I was given. I asked for a glass of red wine with my meal and as there were no bar prices available I was offered little choice of very expensive wine. £23 per glass!!! In short it cost £48 for a starter size portion of pasta, the smallest portion of chips I have ever seen and 1 glass of wine.

Cons: We booked a suit got there realized it was small, stayed 2 nights and took an extra room.Day 3 we booked a two bedroom suit which really isn't it's just them bringing two rooms together.We were shown a suit with a balcony & since my artist is super claustrophobic and has a lot of luggage we agreed to that.Upon going to pay they claimed someone booked that particular room for 2 nights and we booked it right with them less than an hr ago for 3 nights.These super racist hotel people just because the person was black almost even lied they never showed us the room.We left the hotel and booked a huge 3 bedroom penthouse suit somewhere else.Mind u we had no issues we these people we just decided to leave after realizing it was more of a racist thing, I forgot to mention their services suck, they barely help with anything like umbrellas and opening doors smh we never even had a conversation with any one except the manager the day we left but go this email today claiming we were rude to their guests.

On arrival to the property I was then allocated a room. When I entered the room it was for a disabled person. The room was changed. I found the shower very small

Pros: The Midland Hotel is an impressive building in an excellent location. I found the staff invariably professional, courteous and attentive at all times, no matter what their area of expertise.
My room was large, sumptuous and beautifully quiet. Ample desk and coffee table space with several arm chairs, and a dressing area, beyond which was the spacious en-suite bathroom. Plenty of available electrical outlets, good sized TV, mini fridge, tea/coffee facilities and sparkly glassware rounded off the in-room facilities very nicely.
Room service food was priced fairly and arrived promptly and piping hot.

Pros: The Midland Hotel is an impressive building in an excellent location. I found the staff invariably professional, courteous and attentive at all times, no matter what their area of expertise.
My room was large, sumptuous and beautifully quiet. Ample desk and coffee table space with several arm chairs, and a dressing area, beyond which was the spacious en-suite bathroom. Plenty of available electrical outlets, good sized TV, mini fridge, tea/coffee facilities and sparkly glassware rounded off the in-room facilities very nicely.
Room service food was priced fairly and arrived promptly and piping hot.
Cons: There could have been better / more lighting in the dressing area in order to take advantage of the full length mirrors. And the air-conditioning controls were a bit fiddly to adjust - a remote control might have been a better option.

Cons: Firstly, there was barely anything i could eat from the included breakfast due to everything containing high levels of sugar. Maybe that’s partly my fault as i didn’t specify any dietary requirements but there should be a more healthier/less sugar choice. TBH that didn’t bother me as the hotel is surrounded by nice eating places so plenty of choice if you don’t fancy a continental breakfast. What did bother me was what happened approx an hour after we checked out. My daughter left something in our room that had a value of over £150 - i called the hotel as soon as we realised she had left them.... i was informed that a check would be done with housekeeping and someone would call me back in a couple of minutes.... 20 mins later no call... we tracked the item in question via her phone and it was still at the hotel... i called the hotel back up and was met with excuse after excuse and a bit of attitude when i challenged her on why i hadn’t got a call back... i got the item back but only after i told her we could see it was there still and i wanted the item returning to me. I had every intention of staying at the hotel again in april... but i won’t be now.

Cons: I stayed on 11th - 12th January, on leaving I paid my bill and room service etc. But when I checked my bank there was another £141 pending to come out my bank, leaving me short on my bills, 5 times I rank the hotel explaining I need it straight back in to my account as I have bills to pay, but still not had the decency to give me a reply or call back, even though I was promised a return call. It’s shocking customer service and are quick enough to take money off you. But when I try to get it back they can’t do it straight away. I used to love visiting the Hilton but this has well and truly put me off, if you can’t trust the hotel to not take your money then why take the chance again.

Got to the hotel and found out there was a £20 charge for using the spa facilities which were 4 tiny rooms which were not appropriate in terms of temperature as you would expect a steam room or a sauna to be!
There was no pool or other spa facilities apart from these 4 rooms for which the price was ridiculous!
The lady at the spa reception didnt charge us thankfully as less than 10 mins into the quite dim, squashed and awfully miniature "spa" me and my husband were out of there very disappointed in having paid extortionate prices for the stay and then the parking issue and then on top of that the sadly tarnished expectations of the spa!
We left the hotel the same night we checked in without staying at the hotel just flavergasted with the lack of explanation in regards to the facities and staff demeanour and attitude.

Cons: The mattress and pillows were a little hard. The main issue we had though was that people in the next room complained about us being too noisy. We had returned to our room at 11.30 pm and were chatting with the TV on for half an hour - we were definitely NOT making a lot of noise with our voices and the TV volume was quite low. I would therefore suggest the rooms are inadequetely sound proofed

Cons: Rooms are tired and outdated. Only one plug socket. TV didn't work. Wardrobe door was broken. Floor worn out in bathroom. Only 1 pillow. Constant beggars approaching on front step outside. Did not feel safe!

Cons: Had to change rooms as the one we was first given was disgusting.... Dirty and badly decorated with chucks of wallpaper cuts to cover up holes... Walls dirty. Smashed radiator.... Next room was better but very small bed for a double.... No view as our window was 7ft up in the air. Cold tap falling off the sink. Asked for an iron so I could sort my shirt for the night out.. No iron.. Well they told me they have a iron room downstairs hidden away in the back of the hotel.. A room where you have to take your stuff like a laundrette... But having to go from the fourth floor to that room and back was a mission. With only 1 working lift which was tiny..... Very tired after having to tackle the stairs twice.. Even the travelodge gives you an iron if you request one... Wouldn't ever stay here again.... Along with the very dated decore comes horrific cheap and broken signs everywhere for cheap booze and cheap food... The website and Google pics shows this as a posh hotel with some stunning decore.... Its all lies this place neds some TLC.... Never again

Cons: It’s old, run down and tired. My room had single glazing windows, meaning I could hear people on the street coughing! I asked for a quiet room when I booked but I suspect there isn’t a quiet room in the whole hotel. The decor was tired and needed updating. All in all it was a dive, but for £40 a night I wasn’t complaining. Except when I realised that the Travelodge round the corner was only £10 more

Cons: No WiFi. Could not fall through to reception bc the phone was broken; had to get maintenance over because the shower was broken. Pillows smelt like they hadn’t been washed. Room was really really hot however the aircon was broken and windows wouldn’t open for some fresh air.

The hostel is located right in the trendy Northern Quarter and is quite close to Manchester Picadilly. Great for solo travel and for young people looking to explore the hipster paradise of Northern Manchester.

Cons: The facilities left a lot to be desired. Ancient bathroom facilities, heinous showers that only let out cold water in short spurts, and thin mattresses through which the wire of the bed pokes maliciously.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. To be fair you get what you pay for and it was a warm place to sleep.
Cons: Everything kind of looked dirty. The bathrooms were actually filthy and the showers barely worked. The beds were placed very inconveniently and there was only one semi accessible power outlet In the room for 10 people. Also there was no curtains or anything so privacy was minimal.
There were no Male bathrooms on my floor so if i wanted a toilet or a shower I had to go up or down a floor. Half of the power outlets in the public room didn't work which wasn't ideal.
Just generally it wasn't a particularly nice place to stay, but it was cheap so.
