Good location ,
Breakfast was cold.....
The staff and location were good. The spa was pleasant.
The room we were given initially was most certainly not fit for purpose, it smelt, it was dirty the windows were mouldy and the balcony was disgusting.
Exceptionally helpful staff- in particular the waitress at breakfast, and the kitchen staff, who went to great lengths to create a special meal that met my wife’s pretty demanding dietary requirements. Excellent location and good food; reasonable prices (for a hotel, that is) for food and drink. A grand old building with impressive public spaces.
Some of the furniture- the tables and chairs in the main bar, for instance- don’t live up to the grand setting; ditto some of the bedroom fixtures and fittings.
Very good service on the hotel side the spa staff were alittle unprofessional also a dessert was waiting on arrival to the room for our anniversary which was a nice touch
Loud air conditioning meaning it was boiling in the room all night as we couldn’t sleep when it was on and tv only worked intermittently
The room was very comfortable and clean, it was lovely & spacious with two beds, the staff were very helpful & pleasant, & the food was very good. I would stay again.
