It is in a great location and the staff were very helpful.
The breakfast was a buffet and was cold. A premier inn breakfast is much nicer than this. We even had it delivered to our room the second day and it was still Luke warm. I can’t believe a hotel of this standard wounds cook to order. Also the taxi company at that the concierge calls for you is dirty and old - they should really look at the taxi company they use
The building is quite amazing, very grand entrance and lobby, full of history. The corridors and layout is a bit quirky, but that's part of the charm of the building. Staff at reception are very welcoming and helpful Rooms are nice and spacious, very comfy. Elemis toiletries in the bathroom are a nice touch, as it is the fresh milk in the fridge and free snacks on the "tuck box" I was also there for a conference and dinner held at the hotel. Both venue and catering in the evening were amazing, had a great time.
As the corridors and layout is a bit quirky, one gets lost easily in the corridor maze.
The building is beautiful and full of history! First room we stayed in had an electrical issue, which was dealt with promptly by staff, with a room change and upgrade. The complementary prosseco in the room was a lovely touch to celebrate our wedding anniversary!
Mostly things you associate with an old building in a city centre location...Few leaks in hallways. Room was quiet cold and noisy.
Staff and room was amazing we had the best nights sleep to. Thank you to Abbie Mckeever for making our stay a beautiful one. Will be most definitely be returning
Fabulously renovated historic building with beautifully appointed rooms
With its clock tower and striking Victorian architecture, The Principal Manchester is an unmistakable landmark in the city's skyline. A magnificent, terracotta Grade II listed building, the hotel has a history dating back to 1890, when it first opened as The Refuge Assurance Company headquarters. Opposite Oxford Road Station and just a 10-minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly, The Principal Manchester is perfectly placed for business travel and weekend getaways, and is close to many of the city’s attractions.
