Excellent 8,0
Pros: Booked last minute was very clean and friendly staff.
Cons: No food served.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: This lovely guest house is in a perfect location for Liverpool airport. The facilities at Gateway Lodge are extremely comfortable, lovely big bed, great shower, tea, coffee, hot chocolate in bed the room and use of the lounge downy. No breakfast included but I knew that when I booked and don't eat breakfast so glad I wasn't paying for something I wouldn't eat. Walk to the airport was 5 minutes and for a very small charge I was allowed to leave my car on the car park over the weekend. The host Jimmy was fantastic, very friendly, informative and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again and would have never reservations about recommending Gateway Lodge
Cons: Nothing I didn't like
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Location, clean and the staff.
Cons: Very clean, cosy staff very nice, good location. Only a bit pricey

Pros: Lovely place. Very friendly, and spotlessly clean. Lovely beds wow. Nice breakfast.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great location for Liverpool airport, lovely room and breakfast great
Cons: Little difficult to find in the dark and no indication which door to use, however a quick phone call soon sorted this
Good 7,0
Pros: Room and facilities very clean and modern. Lovely bathroom and bed.
Cons: TV way too small for room and miles away from bed! Staff inattentive and uncaring at breakfast. Disappeared for long periods and never had the chance to ask for more coffee or any of the things that were missing from my table. I had to find my own teaspoon, knife and some marmalade from neighbouring tables. I even left without saying goodbye as no one in sight! Run out of Bran & Fruit, other cereals spilled out of their containers and not cleaned up from previous use (on day before as I was first guest into breakfast) I presume. Fluffy cat vying for attention in the breakfast room and wandering about in the kitchen
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Breakfast was very good
Cons: Room was not cleaned after night 1.

Pros: This hotel was lovely and very handy for our early flight only had to cross the road
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Early breakfast and ideal location
Cons: Soap dispensers should be check daily’s
Good 7,0
Pros: The hotel was clean and the rooms were a really good size. The breakfast was good as gave lots of options.
Cons: I was really disapointed in the restaurant/bar food as the menu was limited and the food quality was average. Given the hotel's location, I feel the hotel should offer a better evening meal option and for a Hampton, I was surprised it wasn't better.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Good hotel which is very suitable for airport stays.8
Cons: Clean tidy with good staff
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Excellent rooms spacious and got a good nights rest on the comfy beds.

Good 6,0
Pros: Bed was comfy. Room was very very clean and the host was very friendly.
Cons: Breakfast was nice, would have maybe benefited from more variety or an option to choose a breakfast in advance. The food was shared between a table of four, us and two other guests, which was cosy but there wasn’t much to go round.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Comfy bed. Tasty breakfast. Good selection.
Cons: Given full postal address.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Good location Safe parking Good sized room Great linen ( super bed sheets etc.) Comfortable bed Very nice breakfast with some healthy options The host also was a particularly nice chap .
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Very friendly welcome from John. Breakfast was great, they had got gluten free bread for me for toast. The room was spacious and filled with period items. Shower and bathroom brilliant. Photos included
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Requested vegan breakfast which was very original. House was beautifully decorated and host was very helpful and interesting
Cons: Location was slightly too far out of the city centre to be able to walk in, particularly if there is horrible weather.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Very comfortable room with a particularly nice modern and well equipped en-suite, which was a surprise in this old house and regal house. The host (John) was extremely friendly and helpful in providing maps (drawn by himself) and advising on the best routes to visit the sites and shops.
Cons: A TV may have been nice but it is made clear that there are no TV's in the rooms and to be honest it helped make it more relaxing!
Okay 4,0
Pros: Location for Sefton park area.
Cons: The bed frame is a folded out sofa bed. Bedroom lacked natural ventilation. Gasboiler is located in en-suite but no carbon monoxide alarm visible.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The Host John was great, kind regards Martin
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Location perfect for our needs and the continental breakfast was superb. The bed was really comfortable and the show was excellent.l
Cons: Noise of the police sirens but cant be helped as on main route

Pros: Staff, food ambience were excellent good to have a window that opened!
Cons: Bathroom a bit small and lighting not good enough for reading in bed
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Breakfast was very good, staff were very nice & approachable. Room was very comfortable.
Cons: The window in the room did not close properly so there was a slight draft. Other than that the room was excellent.
Good 7,0
Pros: Restaurant was very good
Cons: Bed was hard and pillows very hard
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Brought back memories of living in Bromborough, the hotel is convenient for the Train to Liverpool and Chester and other interesting places to visit. The staff are helpful and friendly the service is good and the food most enjoyable.
Cons: The fan noise from the kitchens in room two was loud at times, this could possibly be acoustically guarded by covering the pipework with sound proofing.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The Dibbinsdale Inn is set in a very nice, affluent, part of the Wirral. The building itself is nicely decorated, and furnished, and has a cosy feel to it. I had the full English breakfast each morning, which was very nice. I also had an evening meal at The Dibbinsdale Inn which was also very good.
Cons: The room I was allocated didn't have a view as such, as the window glass was frosted. Perhaps some of the other single rooms do. The television had a rather small screen.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything !
Cons: Nothing !
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Ease of reception and locality
Cons: Nothing
Good 7,9
Pros: Fabulous location for Cheshire oaks, Chester and Liverpool. We got the train to Liverpool, took us five minutes to walk there and under £5 return. Pesto was brilliant. Service for our evening meal on Friday was exceptional. Highly recommend
Cons: The bath didn’t work however a solution was put in place offering us the use of a bath in the next room which was fine by us. Can not fault any thing else!
Good 7,0
Pros: Italian Restaurant lovely, Good food ,Good atmosphere, friendly staff. The room is clean and comfortable. My Husband and myself have stayed here four times now and are never disappointed.

Good 6,0
Pros: Comfortable and clean room with basic facilities Free car park at location Friendly staff
Cons: Food service was disappointing in terms of wait and food quality. I would not recommend to eat at the hotel.
Good 6,0
Pros: Very nice employees who answered every question we had
Cons: No
Okay 5,0
Pros: .
Cons: I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times, and every single time they’re unable to take the payment with my card for some reason. Every time I have to go back down to reception again, after just getting to my room from previously being at reception to check in, to sort this out and pay for the room. Our bathroom light was also broke kept flickering on and off.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Lovely big comfy bed Very quiet
Cons: Breakfast bit disorganised Better to have a pot of tea / coffee on th etable
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We loved the room, the blackout curtains and comfy bed. The bathroom was lovely with complimentary items, shampoo etc Good quality towels and bedding. The breakfast tasted great. We had room service at 9pm amd it was efficient, amazing pizza and friendly staff.
Good 7,0
Cons: The condescending attitude of the lady that booked us in. Given mis information with regards to holding card details advised nothing would be taken off even after we queried as we wanted to split the bill. We were told that wouldn’t be a problem and nothing would be taken from the card and yet in our checkout the whole amount had been removed. This is not acceptable practice as we we’re told it’s a deposit to hold the room. We checked out 11.30 and were not late.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: The hotel itself is a wonderful art deco gem with bags of history. Parking was plentiful and seemed secure. Received a very warm welcome at check in, and a warm farewell on departure. First impressions were good with the reception area and corridors very clean and evocative of a bygone era. The bedroom was spacious, warm and quiet. The bathroom was a good size and clean. Breakfast was served until a very reasonable hour on the Sunday morning and was fresh, hot and replenished regularly. Perfect location and so easy to jump on a bus into town (for a gig at the academy and the reason for the trip) and back again - making the return journey after 11pm on a Saturday night. In spite of my little quibble about room service, I'd happily stay here again.
Cons: A fabulous stay with only one or two minor gripes. I approached reception to request some more milk for an extra cuppa in my room - 2 members of staff on duty - one who seemed more than happy to get the milk for me, but the other who interjected and advised me to go to the bar for additional supplies. I went to the bar, which was inundated with guests who had either just arrived for or exited from a wedding. I retraced steps to reception, but by now a queue for check in had materialised, so I never got my extra milk cartons! A small thing, but irritating. The main issue, was when we returned to the hotel, hoping to get something to eat via room service, 11.45pm neither room service nor guest services were answering the telephone. So, we ordered a delivery from Domino's Pizza instead, which actually cost less than the 2 club sandwiches we'd intended to have, had we been able to order from the room service menu!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I was upgraded to the best room in the hotel which was fabulous after a long journey on a very cold sunday
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The furnitures are a little bit old otherwise is good
Cons: We have booked 3 two doule size beds room but the front desk lady only gave me one bed room. She complained we didn't tell her. Well Sorry i Do not know I have to remind her what I have booked.
Excellent 9,4
Pros: Great comfort & "art deco" style make for a very nice stay. Service is a big plus too
Cons: Some of the otherwise very nice decor in the room was beginning to kook a bit tired
Excellent 9,6
Pros: It was nice to stay in a little piece of history! Spacious and clean- lovely big bedroom with two double beds. Very good breakfast , friendly helpful staff. Will stay here again .

Pros: Great hotel always buzzing with life, which when you are alone and people watching is really enjoyable. Reception staff welcoming and book you in if your alone and running late. Some Bar Staff are fabulous, well presented, friendly and if you are a regular remember you. Room was ok, spacious and comfortable.
Cons: Some Bar Staff need to improve their appearance a little (scruffy mainly). But that is not too many. Menus more readily available and if you have a themed night have those menus everywhere. Again bathrooms - they do get used very regularly they seem to just need a little TLC but overall these negatives are minor.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Good location friendly staff hotel very nice bathroom could do with upgrade or painted
Cons: Very noisy in corridor at 4am
Okay 5,0
Pros: Good position and easy to find. Staff very pleasant. Food good. Bed ok
Cons: Dark corridors and bedroom decor very dark and Retro furniture. Lighting in bedroom poor. Hole in quilt cover and bedding well used. Hotel needs re-decorating throughout. Extra charge for parking. Extra charge to use spa and pool.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Amazing breakfast although a lack of black pudding, comfortable beds, nice room
Excellent 8,0
Pros: only one night, sleeped well, room was relative large, bed was hard and good for me, I don't like the English covers. There were an issue with the keycard, but the stuff was very helpfull.

Excellent 8,0
Pros: Value for money
Cons: Toilets and showers been blocked by one customer was not able to find another one, would be better to keep downstairs a single toilet for use. May be there is one but no signs. Phone conversation with staff was good. It is clean, main issue. Gabriele
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Clean and recently updated
Cons: There was nothing
Good 7,5
Pros: The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, telling us of places to eat and bus numbers etc. Nice big rooms and ok for what we paid and what we wanted it for.
Cons: Quite a long way out of Liverpool, parking is just on the street outside of people’s houses. Communal dining area was a little grubby and it felt a bit uncomfortable to use would have been better suited as a bar!

Pros: Didn't stay in this dirty place for breakfast, Location for the City was good.
Cons: Room was dirty, full of cobwebs, bathroom was dirty in the shower area, windows in the bathroom look like they've never been cleaned. PLace in a whole was tired and needs a refurbishment. There was a terrible smell in the pub area when we walked in. We started with tea and had to send the mugs back as they were dirty, not grimy but dirty. when we told the staff that we did not have a satisfactory stay there was initially no response & then after a few minutes, the response was we will have a look at that, no apology received!!!

Pros: Love the place
Cons: Shower was not draining properly
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Good food
Mediocre 3,8
Pros: Staff were friendly and welcoming, and apologetic when we mentioned we were unhappy with our room/stay On the main bus route into centre of Liverpool so really easy access to public transport, which saved alot of money for getting about.
Cons: Very dated hotel inside, which is ashame as first impressions on walking up were that it was well maintained. Room was very warm and impossible to cool down. It didn't really feel like a hotel room and more like a bed had been put into what used to be an office. Paint peeling off the Walls, bathroom whilst it had been cleaned had bad mould around the bath. Bed wasn't all that comfortable and there were no curtains just office blinds. This meant we were woken at about 1:30am by people coming back to their room and couldn't get back to sleep for the outside lights shining into our room! Meaning 4hrs sleep after a long days driving down from Scotland A trip to Liverpool was my husband and I's Christmas present to eachother and it was unfortunately dampened by a very poor nights stay. We'd booked two night and we didn't stay our full booking
Excellent 8,0
Pros: free parking and easy access to Liverpool town centre and airport
Cons: nothing, ok for overnight stay
Mediocre 2,9
Pros: nothing
Cons: Terrible hotel with a really poor ground of house staff . And my bed must have been 20 years old as it was collapsing in the middle.

Pros: Majority of staff very polite and helpful good food and good sized room. The hotel is in pleasant surroundings although interior and exterior need updating and a decent decorator
Cons: On arrival our room was not ready even though we arrived at the correct time, the girl on reception was apologetic and tried to find a solution as by now there were five different parties waiting to check in, the manager walked through reception and his response was , well if theyre (the rooms) are not ready then they’re not ready’ and walked off. they did open the bar for us but not even an offer of a complimentary drink was given and we had to wait an hour to check in and then had find this information out ourselves.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Staff were lovely and helpful hotel nice and quiet in the mornings definitely stay again
Cons: Liked everything
Excellent 8,0
Pros: It was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Just a bit far from the city cente.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The whole process was easy, the staff at the main hotel were really friendly and helpful. The room I had was in a separate house conversion which I’ve never experienced before. I was worried it might be unsafe or noisy and it was neither. It was very safe, clean, and quiet. I had breakfast in the hotel. It was great value for money at £7 and very good quality. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Nothing. The room is basic but it had everything I needed. It was warm, clean and quiet
Okay 4,6
Pros: Clean
Cons: Shirty staff on reception Having to go to another hotel to collect key... only found this out after booking.. having a female going out in rain and dark alone in a location you dont know... not good Breackfast if you book it is at another hotel Not cheap for shirty staff Photo ID..
Good 7,0
Pros: The bed was comfy and the property was tidy. The room was very warm and the radiators could turn off. There was a cupboard and an en suite bathroom with shower.
Cons: This is a different building around the corner. Fine however it was at night and the sign although large, cannot be seen. And the lettering doesn't show in the dark. Even with directions took too long to find. AND the front door (requiring a code) was open and appeared to be left open by staff living there. The beds didn't match the size of the headboards etc. The wardrobe was very small/shallow for a room for 3 people. A short jacket could hang fine but longer wouldn't fit. They gave us the wrong room initially and we had to try different rooms with door codes until find the one (we got the code for each door).
Mediocre 3,8
Pros: Location was 5 mins from where we were visiting
Cons: Room temperature was too hot no instructions on how to reduce the heat. As a result we didn't sleep well. TV had no remote and couldn't operate manually. So did not watch TV during stay. There was no staff on ground to help, rang enquires 4 times and he promised to send a technican but he did not turn up. This experience put us off this accommodation . The service was not value for money. Disappointed.

Pros: The only thing I liked was the location
Cons: The suite is further down the road without any staff. The staff at the Mountford Hotel weren't very helpful. I travelled with a 10 month old and they put us in a room in the attic - and wouldn't change the room. It was very much a 'tough luck' situation. The rooms weren't very clean and there wete door knobs not screwed in properly. Also we were told there would be an iron in the room, and ther wasn't - only to discover the next day that the iron was in kitchen.
Mediocre 3,8
Pros: The room was spacious but the furniture more than poor. The mattress was too soft and the rest of the furniture looked as it had been dumped into my room.
Cons: As above. The other fact was that I felt deceived about the kind of property. You wilfully put important information at the bottom of your initial email confirming my booking that I actually had to go to a different hotel to pick up my door code. This is not the first time that I felt let down about the quality and price of a property booked through your service. With this experience in mind I will no longer use your services and will certainly not recommend you to any of my friends or family
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Good location for my visit. Decent sized room. Good shower facilities.
Good 7,0
Pros: Staff were helpful and the room was clean and warm. Code system of entry meant that there was no need to fiddle with keys and dodgy locks. Hot water came quickly through the system to the room and there seemed to be plenty of it.
Cons: In the first room we were given the tv didn't work but we were moved quickly to a room where it did. The decor in both rooms was very dated.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The location for how close we needed to be to our job was great. Parking was great. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.
Cons: breakfast included
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Very good value for money , good facilities, easy check in, basic but so was the price ,but very clean and good size x
Mediocre 2,9
Pros: Nothing at all.
Cons: The property is falling apart. The rooms are untidy and unclean. The showers are shockingly bad. The bed moves 7ft across the room as soon as you sit on it, doors in the place bang whenever people move so you get no sleep through the night. I wouldn’t stay here if someone paid me to. I’d advise pay a little extra and get a lot more
Okay 4,2
Cons: This accommodation does not match its 3 star rating. It is scruffy and tired.
Okay 5,4
Pros: The property was close the the wedding venue
Cons: The beds were so uncomfortable and worst of all the radiators kept making a deafening noise and I had to get up 6 times during the night to adjust them. I called the mount does to help also. Nightmare night sleep

Cons: Very uncomfortable bed but otherwise fantastic value for money!
Mediocre 2,0
Pros: Needs a good clean
Cons: Beds, Hotel Carpets
Okay 4,0
Pros: The receptionist was very pleasant and very helpful
Cons: Hotel was looking old and tired
Poor 1,0
Pros: Location
Cons: Everything, the room was poor, the bed sheets were stained, the bathroom and wardrobe door handle were broken, the carpet had stains and hair on it. The walls were damp with flies around a wet patch on the floor. A window pane was broken letting in cold air. The window frames were painted shut. A lamp on the bed side table had a broken bulb and no close plug socket. The bath had a dirty rim. Overall the property needs a complete revamp! Please advise how I get a refund!?
Okay 5,4
Pros: Staff member (yep just the one and only until 22:00) was very friendly.
Cons: Heating, a decent shower and a working TV should be standard. They were sadly lacking here.
Poor 1,0
Pros: The room was dirty accommodation poor. Breakfast poor. Room cold. I want my money back will be contacting booking.com to complain.
Cons: All of it
Mediocre 3,3
Pros: That moment I walked out the door to go home.
Cons: This hotel is horrendous. If they offer u a free room.. dont take it. Freezing cold.. broken bed.. jizz on curtains.. pubes on the sweat stinking pillows.. asked to use microwave.. wished I'd never.. it was a breeding ground for salmonella and that's putting it nicely. Horrific experience.
Mediocre 2,0
Pros: The girl on reception at check in was lovely
Cons: Room freezing. No double glazing and ice on inside of bathroom window. Shower freezing cold. Room smelt damp. Bed and pillows hard.
Mediocre 2,5
Cons: Very disappointing, the carpet was dirty. Shower was cold. Toilet didn't flush sufficiently. The lock on the door was stiff and in need of maintenance so it was quite difficult to get in and out of my room without a struggle. The mattress was wiry and uncomfortable to the extent where I had to use the extra duvet as a mattress protector. There was no staff about so for any queries I had there was no one about, I wasn't informed of the WIFI password and when I rang and got it, it didn't work. My room was freezing and the heating didn't work. Outdated décor and definitely not worth the money I paid even for a short trip.
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: None available
Cons: Very very cold there , felt damp cause it was so cold , very basic room
