Cons: The "pantry shop" selling milk, bread would be more helpful then alcohol and sweets. A towel rail in bathroom would be handy and would also encourage reuse of towels as there is nowhere to hang them to dry.

Pros: Location of the hotel was great. Parking was easy, right outside the hotel. The large entrance was nice and the food at breakfast was really good. The staff in all departments were super nice and friendly.
Cons: The family room had 2 double beds. Each bed was a small double so my husband and I were not impressed with us being squashed so much - a slightly bigger bed would have made a huge difference as neither of us slept well at all. We paid for a room with a view of the river. From our window we could see 2 large trees and 2 big buildings with only glimpses of the river in between definitely not what I had expected when booking a river view. Disappointed. The pool area was dark and dingy and is in need of some upgrading, feels very dated and a bit grubby. Lots of sand in the children’s splash pool. Overall I thought it was expensive for the standard of accommodation.

Pros: The hotel had everything we needed for our 3 day stay and was in a GREAT location for us to explore, see the soccer stadium and eat at great restaurants.
Cons: We liked the hotel for the rating it was and it was great but the room did have a scent of stale cigarettes, even though it was a non-smoking room. Nevertheless, the room was large, clean and the shower was hot - so it was all good!

Cons: When we arrived, the lobby was full of a fairly rough crowd of drunk people, drinking and standing outside smoking. The vibe was very uncomfortable. Across the street there was a couple having a physical fight. The street certainly didn't feel safe enough to park on, and the staff recommended using a car park about 5 mins walk away. Carpets in the hallway were stained. Bedrooms were small and the beds were large singles rather than doubles. The rooms were air conditioned (in winter) and although we switched off the air conditioning, the rooms remained cold all night, to the point where we couldn't sleep. The hotel had an overall feeling of seediness. We got out as early as possible the next morning. I certainly wouldn't stay in a Z hotel in the future. Very disappointed.

Cons: Building work and scaffolding going on right outside our window, didn’t realise until 07.30am therefore no lie in. Went to breakfast at 09.00am we got seated then we were left there, when the coffee eventually arrived it was cold. After a while I stopped a waiter and asked if anybody was going to take our order after sitting there for 20 minutes. When the breakfast eventually arrived they didn’t put any fried tomatoes on my plate so it got sent back. The general set up was not good, wobbly tables and suave bottles caked with sauce, reminded me me of greasy spoon cafe. Didn’t enjoy the breakfast at all, the black pudding was like a hockey puck!

Cons: Staff was incredibly unhelpful - they ignored my wife as she struggled with two bags through the doors and up the 10-12 stairs required to get into the hotel. One of the same people who ignored her later made an extra effort to walk over and stop us from walking down a staircase to view the Beatles memorabilia. Overall, the experience was off-putting.

Cons: Check in was confusing, person at the counter acted as if it was her first hour on the job. Went to lounge for a drink, was hoping to hear beatles music... after all, we were staying at the Hard Days Night Hotel. They were playing beatles music, but it was so soft we could barely hear it (and not because there were so many people talking, there were only 4 people in the lounge). I asked them to turn it up, which they did ever so slightly. Still only soft background music. We were not looking for loud, just something we could hear without straining. Had yet another bad experience with concierge (Kevin). We had purchased tickets to the Cavern Club Beatles tribute band show through the hotel. Asked Kevin when we should plan to arrive for the 8 PM show to be sure we got seats (explaining that I had read on line that seating was limited and you had to arrive early to get seats even if you had purchased tickets). Kevin dismissed my concern, saying we just had to be there at 8 and handed us the tickets. When we got to the room I read the tickets, they also said that seating was limited and that a ticket didn't guarantee a seat. Decided to ignore Kevin's guidance and it was a good thing we did. We arrived at 7, people were already lined up. By the time the doors opened (7:45) the place was full of people lined up to get in. We got a seat, but had we listened to Kevin we would have been standing for the entire show, which ended just after midnight.

Hotel staff are excellent, very friendly however, they speak extremely fast and it was difficult to understand. They were very patient when I kept saying, I'm sorry I don't understand what you are saying. The bar is modern, fresh and inviting.

Pros: It was terrible experience, They have not provided right room what we have booked , Stating 2 rooms are not available on the same floor, provided one executive room , The aircon in this room was not working and when we asked the receptionist informed that there is no air-condition in room only air circulation only which was a strange answer to me , In Glasgow between 11 and 12 July I stayed in Marriott, In Leeds on 13th also in Same Marriott where I don't face any problem in air condition , There is something not correct in the Liverpool Marriott. May if they can take proper action it will be better for the future. I have stayed in room no 201 and 208. The room has problem was 201.

I traveled with two of my friends for two nights just before Christmas and we couldn't believe how close the hotel was to all the shopping and sightseeing! It genuinely is a brilliant spot for such a great price. Beds were lovely and comfy and the room was a perfect temperature in comparison to other hotels where it's always too hot! We will definitely be coming back again.

Cons: When we arrived we had booked and paid for 2 rooms through booking.com to be told only one room was booked. After a stressful time checking in the receptionist then went into the back to speak to someone where it was confirmed we had two rooms booked and paid for. On checkout we where waiting for transport home and I happened to check my bank, it was there I discovered I'd been charged for another room. I then went over to reception who assured me this was done by mistake and this would be refunded I was very annoyed as I did not authorise this payment and it should never have been taken without me giving authorisation. I have since put a complaint in and a week later I am yet to have a reply.

Cons: Stroppy receptionist at the main reception trying to over charge us. When asked whether breakfast was included or not, said: "you are expecting too much for that price!!". Car park wasn't included either and it was rather expensive.

Cons: Limited functionality from the Spa (one of the big factors in our choosing the hotel), inactive Wifi connection during the morning of check-out, and loud screech when the A/C was on full power.

Cons: Lifts were dirty, batteries were on the floor on our first day and still there when we went home. Staff took to long to book us in,there was always queue. Many of the staff were laughing behind the Glass panels. .Now and again a young man came out ,i would ask him for help,which they did . A couple of men who looked important completely ignored the Queue . so where was the desk manager ???

Cons: Just very grubby and run down. The lift smelt like sewage. The bath was dirty and the bathroom was like a hostel. Well over priced for 1 night. Pretty much something you would have expected in the 60s. I won't be staying again and I'd advise anyone thinking of staying please go somewhere else!
