The catering for the function was very good.
Long queue at check in, room cold and tired, leaking tap in bathroom.

This was a real surprise. It has obviously been a magnifident hotel which has fallen on hard times but despite looking a bit shabby it was spectacular. The room was clean and comfy, the staff were friendly, helpful and chatty. The food was fine, the price was remarkable (the 24 hours free parking an added bonus). I came away googling the history of the place. Fascinating
It really really needs some investment. It gives the impression that it will be allowed to run down until it can no longer be salvaged, the land it stands on is probably of more value than the hotel itself.
