4,6 Okay
Pros: Near bus station and breakfast was accepted
Cons: Poor WiFi , rooms are not good isolated , I’m not recommended for Arabic people because it is far from city center which you can get good food
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean facilities. Good breakfast bar and overall good dining and bar facilities
Cons: Limited parking
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Short walk too and from the centre of Monschau.
Cons: This is only the second time I have ever been asked to pay my bill on arrival. And in both instances I would have left the hotel had I not already paid. There was no heating in the room other than a plug in electric heater and no means of drying towels in the bathroom. There was black mould around the edge of the bath and numerous cracks in the wash hand basin. We had a front facing room which overlooked the car park and there was a lot of traffic noise from the road outside. Building work was ongoing in the hotel which we had not been pre warned about and noise could be heard up until midnight. The builders were also traversing the dining room during breakfast. The restaurant had only one set meal available per night so we didn't eat there. However we had breakfast which was disappointing by the normal European standards and certainly far below what I would normally expect from a 4* hotel. The crockery was cracked and dirty, boiled eggs were too hard to stick a spoon in and only 2 types of bread roll available, no pretzels, no croissants no pancakes, no room service and certainly nothing like advertised by booking.com. Would I stay here again, most definitely not. Highly disappointed by the hotel and in this instance, booking.come representation.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great for families and couples who look for a place to disconnect. Clean, big rooms and alsways helpful staff
Cons: Moschau is small so even when it is not in the city center, it takes only 5mins to get there.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Pool in our floor and was lovely
Cons: Reception staff very unhelpful especially regarding our daughter needing to know which food on the menus was gluten free for her. We ended up not eating our main meal in the hotel and having to find alternative establishments, which was extremely difficult in the town. Even breakfast was a problem - it’s a good job we took our own bread and cereal for her. I was told by who I think was the manager that the reception staff speak fluent English - in my experience, only when they wanted to!
7,0 Good
Pros: Location, breakfast, beds.
Cons: bathroom needs a big update. Service was not great, we had to ask for towels and extra pillows four times before it finally got sorted. Room was not ready at 3pm, had to wait like many other guests for 20 mins. Sauna was okay, it was turned off when we arrived later at night but after having called reception a staff member came up to switch it on again for us.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: I really liked the old vibe of the building, it's a charming place. Situated very close to the main attraction of Monschau old town. Although this building is at least 400 years old - it's very well preserved, cleaned and what most important - warm. The main city parking is in a decent distance - don't see any problem with that.
Cons: Wifi access is not in the price, restaurant was closed (in March) - I would prefer to know know that before coming.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It was very old and had a lot of character built in1597 . Ina picturesque place with lots of restaurants little shops and a fierce river running through the town .
Cons: Nothing.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel is superb! The breakfast was good, with a wide variety of food available. The quality-price proportion was excellent.
Cons: The hostes immediately announced that she didn’t speak English. We managed in German quite ok, however it felt a bit off, since our German was so-so.
7,0 Good
Pros: Everything was all right. We wanted to have a bathroom with bath and we’ve got it without any problem. Breakfast good. 08:00-10:00 Location awesome! Recommend!
Cons: Personal doesn’t speak English only German or Polish.
6,3 Good
Pros: Very good location. Very clean. Shame beirkeller was shut. The owner could of been a bit more cheerful
Cons: The decor needs a bit of an update
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful fresh breakfast. Large bedroom Quiet
Cons: The bathroom was cramped and the parking a long walk from the hotel. Would not be suitable for old or infirm.
6,7 Good
Pros: The building itself was very nice, old traditional and very well kept!
Cons: No bar facilities, no fridge with any drinks on the room, no kettle or facilities to make a cup of coffee or tea! Restaurant closed! No hand wash soap on the room at all and only one shower gel left on the toilet for the 2 of us for a 2 night stay!!

9,2 Excellent
Pros: It was very quiet and peaceful. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. We were able to play games with the kids that the hotel had on hand. The employees were very friendly.
Cons: Too far from everything. The food was very pricey in the restaurant and the hotel was so far from anything that you had to eat there whether you liked it or not. You were only given two options on the menu which we are not used too, and the kids wouldn't eat.
6,0 Good
Pros: expensive
Cons: It was too Dutch, although we were not in Holland?
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Clean Breakfast was good Parking good
Cons: Quilt too small Mattress too soft for my liking Noisy Pillows not good WiFi did not work
7,1 Good
Pros: Clean rooms Friendly staff
Cons: Misinformed on booking.com about available facilities on site (no indoor pool, no tennis courts, etc.) The hotel and all facilities are run down. The swing in the playground has rusty nails sticking out. One evening it smelled of cigarette smoke everywhere in the hotel. The food is not amazing You absolutely cannot get any water from tap at the table, you have to buy it. It’s dark, old and kinda depressing
5,1 Okay
Pros: Minigolf, trampolin
Cons: Soft bed with crack, hot room, loud fan noise outside
5,8 Okay
Pros: Easy to find, not easy to leave. Hard to find what was really great. Mini Golf
Cons: We’ve booked a room with lazy check-out (till 1 pm). As we arrived I asked once again at the reception about late check-out. The young lady approved. On the evening we wanted to have dinner. Sorry, but 23€ or something like that for nothing. Next day I came back after race between 11 and 12 to have a shower. My body was full in soap, but they closed the water supply. Thanks. My Wife informed a lady at the reception. The answer - “It gone take sometime”. At the second visit to reception they gave my wife boiling water!!! Why so serious?! So it was new adventure for me. After that we didn’t get apologies from hotel team. Nice Job.

Pros: We liked the location very much. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was nice.

Pros: The location was excellent, in the middle of the city centre. The staff was very friendly and kindly helped us with were to park. The room was simple but very clean and the bed was comfortable.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit simple, which is okay but breakfast was from 8 till 10. The first night we arrived at the breakfast at 9 and they were not getting new food when something ran out. So for example, at 9 there were no scrambled eggs, brown bread, fruit and saucages left and they did not get new food.

The staffs are very friendly too even though they speak very little english. smilling is a universal language i supposed.
Cons: the room is rather old. i am referring to room3, it is a combi of 2 single beds, my side is closer to window which was ok, my husbands is the one closer to toilet and it was making alot of noise for little move he makes.
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing ..... The shower in the room was about as good as it got from this place, oh the Burger was ok.
Cons: When we arrived we was given a room about 200 metres up a road away from the hotel, we was unable to eat in the restaurant as it was apparently fully booked, we finally managed to eat outside in the cold. 8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money hotel and a lovely stepping off point for the Wilderness Trail. Room was in a separate building across the courtyard, but there are rooms in the main building. Even though close to the road the room was quiet. The hotel restaurant has a good menu and the table served breakfast was tasty.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff. Kind and ready to assist you. An upgrade was given as we were with a newborn baby and a dog. Excellent wifi. Ideal position for hiking and visit monschau (easy to reach with a comfortable navette that stops right opposite to the hotel). Breakfast was not a Buffett, but it was more than sufficient
Cons: Hotel is clearly from the '70, although very clean and welcoming
7,1 Good
Pros: The place is also a restaurant. This is convenient as we ate dinner there. The food was good.
Cons: The room was ok, though rather old decor. Our main problem was the bathroom. The sewage smell bad. Not sure if this was just at the room we were given. We didn’t complain as we only stayed for a night. The breakfast is not a buffet style. The ‘bed & breakfast’ serves 4 choices of sandwich meats & some slices of cheese depending on how many of you on a table. No tomatoes, no fresh fruits, no cereals being served. Each person gets a yogurt (no choice of flavor), and only orange juice is available. Overall, just don’t expect very much.
6,3 Good
Pros: The location
5,0 Okay
Pros: The bed and heating were ok
Cons: High price for a simple room. The toilet bowl was loose and a certain moment the floor in the bath room became wet, not because of water... The water tap at the sink was loose. The shower head was spouting aside and it was very difficult to control the water temperature safely.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The best steaks we had in years, and game such as boar, deer was delicious as well. location was outside of the touristic centre of Monschau, we were really happy we got to stay in a quiet place, 3 km from the centre. Staff was really friendly and efficient, they take good care of their guests. Beds were comfortable, there was everything we needed in the room, great value for money. Parking was available in the yard of the hotel
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The price/quality ratio was really good. We had (besides some minor points) a really nice room. The breakfast was also really good.
Cons: The toilets smelled really bad (maybe some problems with the sewerage?). And personally I thought that the pillows were too soft and the matress was too hard.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Communication was good, the room was clean and spacious, the response to questions and solving of the issues was real quick and all the other facilities were good value for the money.

Pros: We arrived a bit early but that was not an issue at all. It was valentines day and me and my girlfriend got a "romantic" upgrade by the owner. The room was clean and had everything we could have asked for. The breakfast was simply perfect. More than any person could eat and the owner encouraged us to take a lunch pack with us for the day. Great stay!

Pros: The owners are really nice people, very helpful, always willing to do the best for their guests. The room was really big, clean and comfortable. It is not a modern hotel, but everything is very well maintained and it has a bit of a retro feeling that makes you really feel like at home. Breakfast is complete and perfect to start the day. The place has also a bar/restaurant, very nice for having a drink, and the food of the restaurant was really good typical german food. Totally recommended!
7,1 Good

Pros: Excellent Breakfast. Very friendly people.
Cons: It so happend we had a very heavy suitcase, and there was no elevator :( , Without that suitcase I would not mind walking the stairs.
7,3 Good
Pros: As I said above, the welcoming reception and general attention to detail plus cleanleness and excellant food
Cons: the synthetic filling in the duvets
7,3 Good
Pros: The rooms were well equipped and spotlessly clean. The en-suite had obviously been modernised recently and, again, was very clean; soap and shower gel were provided, as well as tissues and a hairdryer - more than we were expecting. We had a meal in the restaurant on one night and this was a wonderful experience - we went for the set menu which was cheaper and were not disappointed.
Cons: Cannot fault the hotel. My only concern was the fact that there was no reception between 2.30 and 5.30 but we rung the number displayed on the door and Klaus Zimmermans could not have been more helpful - we had no problem gaining access.
7,0 Good
Pros: hotel on a hill just outside town our room was in the gods nice room very clean 10min walk vertical to town fine for our younger legs not so good for our friend who has arthritis.... Pros: Wonderful places, good cooking and very nice staff, thank you so much for your hospitality.
Cons:

Pros: The room was clean, if small. The food was very good but the hotel may be better viewed as a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel.

Cons: There was nothing that I didn’t like. I would suggest a tea/coffee station in the room.

7,5 Good
Pros: The rooms were very clean and the the staff very friendly. The breakfast was great, bacon, eggs, cheese, juice and great bread and also, jam, chocolate, fruit and cereal. It was great.
Cons: Everything was great.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The owners are really nice people, very helpful, always willing to do the best for their guests. The room was really big, clean and comfortable. It is not a modern hotel, but everything is very well maintained and it has a bit of a retro feeling that makes you really feel like at home. Breakfast is complete and perfect to start the day. The place has also a bar/restaurant, very nice for having a drink, and the food of the restaurant was really good typical german food. Totally recommended!
7,1 Good
Pros: The room was big and clean. The bathroom was clean. The staff was friendly. Overall it was a good place to stay for one night
Cons: The pillows were too thin and the blankets were also thin (for the winter). Breakfast was okay but not vegan friendly.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast was good enough.
Cons: It was too cold. I increased the heater and waited for two hours to heat the room. Unfortunately it did not work. I could not feel comfortable in the room. The towels were cut into two parts they were small.

Pros: Friendly guest house in the suburbs of Monchau. Not too much in the immediate area, but it's easy to get to by car with lots of parking. Facility is super clean and well organized and the breakfast is all you could want.
