Liverpool hotels near Albert Dock

Pros: Was a plush room with lots of facilities.

Cons: Room was freezing. Hot and cold selection poor and of cheap quality. Hot breakfast was cold and products weren’t tasty. Fruit selection was terrible offering forest fruits. Staff were not very friendly or approachable.

Pros: Great location and view. Weekday happy hour and breakfast included.

Pros: Staff are amazing and very friendly, especially Dani the lady in the morning who helped me find my missing bag!

Cons: No maintenance staff available to deal with an issue we had in our apartment as it was a Sunday. That said a member of staff did compensate us at checkout. Also some of decor in the breakfast room needs refurbishment ( the coloured dining chairs were stained and need replacing.)

Cons: I have been travelling to Liverpool for the past 25 years or more, the Crowne Plaza, was arguably the best Hotel in the City for many years, however, I think that the competition is fresher, newer and better value for money. It needs a good refurb to keep up? The breakfast was an embarrassment for £15.50 each!!

Pros: Excellent position for water front and access to city. Good parking. All staff friendly and pleasant.

Pros: The hotel is lovely & the Staff were all friendly & helpful. It is in a superb location & I had an amazing view from my room - directly facing the Liver Buildings . We got a really good deal & all our party of 7 enjoyed it & would return .

Cons: Initial room on top floor looking out over the river was noisy - there is a service floor above. Gym equipment could have been newer. Couldn't get the air-conditioning to work properly.

Cons: Air cooling system not working and room was 86 degrees. Not able to move us. Bus stop right outside window with doorbell chimes and loud announcements. Nice bed and bathroom.

Cons: Breakfast: When we booked in, we were led to believe there were only 2 options for breakfast; either pay lower price at booking (which was different price from what we were told later) or pay full price of 16 pounds later. We were not told of any a la carte option. We only stumbled upon the dining room at breakfast time and discovered the a la carte option. But!! on 2 separate occasions we were told different prices for the buffet. No one seemed to know the set price, if indeed there was one. Last morning's breakfast was (we feel) taken off the buffet and not cooked a la carte as the bacon was hard, could have used it as a frisbee, and the eggs looked as if they had been sitting around a while. WiFi: I don't know any hotels in the States where you have to pay for WiFi!! That is a number one faux pas!! My daughter had to buy several hours and it was 3 pounds per hour. That does not meet today's standards. Many restaurants have free WiFi. Room: The air in the room was so stuffy, we all woke up with congested sinuses! Air obviously is not on when the room is unoccupied. Air should be put on for a few hours before guests arrive. Also, could not open window, and oops there was a hole in the voile curtain!!! We had to use the fan, constantly, even getting up in the night to switch it back on as it was on a timer! Evening meal: We were told the restaurant was only open for buffet breakfast. I hope we didn't miss out and it was open for evening meals?? The little eating (Brew ?)area near the reception really didn't have much variety on the menu! Staff: Our last-day breakfast supervisor had rather a frightening attitude; however, our waitress was wonderful.

Cons: I booked a room with breakfast included. I was charge for a Cappuccino when coffee and milk were available and free with breakfast. I stayed in room 232 and the noise of the lift and the lights in the corridor kept me away most of the night. I had room 314 last time and didn’t have this issue.

Cons: The room faced the NCP car park and bus stops and was really noisy all night. Virtually no sleep . Room 204

Pros: Reception staff very helpful arranging taxis for us. Quick at check in. Nice size room and comfortable bed.

Cons: Alot of noise/ loud voices on 3rd floor in the early hours. 3 separate occasions. Also people knocking on doors at various times in the night. We ordered cocktails and were told they would be brought to our table in the bar. The girl then seemed to forget about us and chatted to other people at the bar. Eventually I had to remind her and she rushed off to make them. Room 337 has a crack in the sink.

Pros: The location was perfect, close to so many attractions. The staff were lovely, they even let me store my luggage there after checking out so I didn't have to lug it about all day! The room was immaculate, cosy and unbelievably quiet! I was so comfy there.

Cons: My kettle stopped working on Wednesday I took it to reception But the said they would get me a working one after 1/2 of waiting Nothing turned up so I went back to reception who apologised and gave me one this did not work so I rang reception and complained the finally gave me a working kettle 10 mins later so this could have been better

Pros: A lot of road works nearby . The area a little run down and noisy through some of the night . Staff very helpful when we had to change rooms (due to broken bed)we had a prompt up grade .

Pros: Friendly and competent reception. Room size good. Considering city centre and ground floor, commendably quiet; when students return to halls opposite it could be different! Fan provided. Good breakfast buffet. Excellent price.

Cons: Silly showers that leave bathroom floor soaked. No expel-air in bathroom. Couldn't open a window. No iron. Poor lighting and unfathomable switches. Lack of drawer space - increasingly common. "King size" bed was 2 singles coupled.

Pros: The hotel is gorgeous, decorated well, rooms are huge with everything you need (almost). Great location, it was close enough to walk into town and back. Would recommend to anyone. Perfect hotel for a girls weekend away.

Cons: There was no full length mirror in the room, we rang and requested one but it wasn’t until our second night (and several phone calls chasing it) until they provided us one. With three girls getting ready for a night out and only one mirror in the bathroom was difficult! One other minor thing is that there is no air con, fans were provided but rooms were very hot.
