I'VE BEEN SCAMMED. When my wife and I arrived in Phoenix we discovered that Economy doesn't have an office. Through text instructions we were directed to a used car lot, -- Carzi. We were told by the used car salesmen that Economy has no staff, no personal help, nothing but a car that supposedly we can rent by using Economy's on-line system. The problem is, Economy's system was a fail. We asked two used car salesmen if they could make any sense of the system and it failed for them, too. After over 30 minutes trying to navigate Economy's system, we gave up. We went back to the airport and rented a car from a reputable rental car company. Any money that we were pre-charged for the Economy car rental we demand be refunded to my credit card. Economy car rental is a SCAM!
Poor customer service. Undisclosed charges after drop off. Stains on headliner of car
Car was rented by Economy rent subcontractor not by Economy car - Easyrentbulgaria.I paid for rental online but agent told me that he will not rent vehicle unless I pau extra insurance 25 $ ped day so price of rental doubled otherwise i will loose my payment. On the top of this they collected 100 euro deposit what was not refunded
The car rental location was not at the airport as advertised. The rental also scams customers by providing an unreasonably low allowable milage that you then are on the hook for later. Additionally, this "Economy Rent a Car" hides its name, Carzi, so that it's not clear their poor rental practices.
There was a long wait to pick up the car, the customer service agent was clearly irritable and rude, the car smelled funny, the car was given to me with sand in the trunk, and I am currently fighting the company on falsely charging me for a cleaning fee. The entire rental experience was a big headache and I’m very disappointed. I would very much appreciate if my time or wrongly charge fees could be reimbursed.
Having no rental desk to deal with was new and odd but outside of that, I'd be happy to rent from them again.
The drop off process was smooth, but the rental and pickup process was a pain.
The car broke down in a parking lot and we had no way to move it and had to get to the airport. The customer service experience was terrible. They wouldn’t answer any phone calls and just texted very unhelpful information.
Worst experience ever renting a car. Direction to the rental location were unclear. There was no human being to talk to or take my credit card on site. I had to pry instructions out of someone by text message as no one would answer the phone. I had to use an app to put my credit card into in order to get my rental, which I was not comfortable with. They didn't even have clear instructions on how to get the key to the car and how to get out of the parking garage, as there was no person there to tell you anything. There were no instructions for turning the car in and that process was just as ridiculous as picking it up. I parked the car at the rental place and some person just jumped in it and drove off. No verbal interaction. I will never rent from this company again. There was a couple in the lobby of the airport shuttle station, where this rental company is, having the same issues I was having. In hindsight, on-line reviews for this company are terrible.
