Cons: The bedsheets. They don’t have a duvet and we have to put a blanket on top. This makes the bed sheets very heavy and not comfortable as it slides down all the time and we have to pull it back to the bed all night. It was horrible and. It’s not up to the international standard. The staff are friendly but some are lack of experience of international top hotel standards. Communications between different teams are not very smooth. Examples: 1. When we checked in we asked the lady to book a table at the Moroccan restaurant for the same evening and when we arrived at the restaurant they didn’t have our reservations and had to check for quite a while to confirm that. As hotel guests of the best hotel in the world this is not acceptable. 2. I asked for something from the reception to be sent to our room and it took them 3 times to finally get it right. Seems that the reception and the house keeping don’t understand each other. 3. We came back late at 8 pm one day from the mountains and we had a shower in the room before going to the French restaurant for dinner. Before we went for dinner we turned off the DND sign as a signal for housekeeping to clean the room but it want not done when we came back from dinner. Why don’t they have a ‘clean the room’ sign if they are not efficient enough? 4. We requested for a late check out and they said we can check out at 2 pm. At 1230 they called us and said that the next guests have arrived and wanted us to move out right away! Otherwise the room is spectacular. They just need more training and more exposures to the top top hospitality standards of the world. My expectations were very high because of their ranking and the price.

Cons: The worst service I’ve ever experienced.Requested tea at breakfast 7 times before it arrived. Ran out of towels at the pool. Had to ask for a broken glass next to kids pool to be cleared up 3 times before all large shards removed. Salad/sandwich lunch took over an hour and usually a mistake with order or item missing. Over 30 mins to check in Service issues were endless. Block of rooms by lift 3 are next to an external disco. Super loud till v late at night. When I asked to move room after a sleepless night they refused 3 times. Was only when I said I would take my bedding and sleep in the corridor of a quieter part of the hotel that they gave me another room (still charged me for the sleepless night).

Cons: the hotel is quite outdated and looks very tired . was given a room in a new extension . electricity kept cutting out . no hairdryer in room . after aome 2 hours in the dark they finally decided to move us but to a floor where the lift did not work . after further complaints they moved us to a suite . good but not very clean . service in bar area very slow and no attention to detail . on check out we were given a bill that included items that we simply did not have . card machines did not work - check out took 45 minutes . staff just not managed and managers shy away from responsibilities . Not really a 5 star hotel

Cons: The staff was terrible. I prepaid the room for my parents as a gift and the hotel did not want to let them in, as they were not in possession of my credit card. This ruined our long planned weekend. There are many great hotels in Marrakech, better avoid that one.

Pros: The location of the hotel is ideal! The property is lovely from the inside, the pool in the courtyard makes quite a statement and sitting but the pool or by the fireplace is peaceful and inviting. We never felt like it was over crowded in this area, though the rooftop pool was full and seemed to be where the kids hung out. (Nice to have the serenity of the courtyard pool!!_ The breakfast room is plush and comfortable and there is enough variation in foods but the spread is not as sumptuous as in other 5 star hotels. The junior suite is spacious, the bed is quite hard (though we like that) and the linens, etc are crisp and fresh. The bathroom is also very spacious and pretty though there was some paint chipping at the edges and the woodwork was a bit dirty (Again, not 5 star standards).Shower is roomy and rainforest shower head was powerful. We didn’t use the bathtub, but it is nice to have the option of a bath. Before we came I had some correspondence with the hotel which was professionally handled and response was quick. I appreciated that very much.

Pros: For Marrakesh, the location of this hotel doesn't get any better. It is right around the corner from the bustle of the square and easy to get around anywhere. The hotel itself is really well designed, with great architecture and style that fits with the region. The rooms are very nice, and there are two swimming pools, one of which is heated and on the roof patio. There are 3 or 4 different places to eat at (although the food choices are mostly similar). Overall a great hotel!

Cons: The spa was an awful experience, we felt we were being rushed through the Hammam experience we booked. Completely unceremonious!!! The staff was unfriendly, did not explain anything unless we asked and even then they were curt with their replies (We speak English and French, so it was not a language problem.) In general the spa staff seemed totally disinterested in their jobs and just wanted to push us in and out quickly. I would have complained directly but I didn’t want to get more upset than I was as we were only there for 4 nights, so I let it go and we tried to laugh about how terrible it was. But, I would not suggest paying the high price of the spa treatments - perhaps try another hotel or Hammam? The hotel lobby looks a little worn though the flower arrangements are lovely. The brown wooden furniture in our junior suite was also somewhat worn and old looking. The patio furniture was rusting and the cushions stained. The fountain on our terrace did not work, unfortunately, and the tiles were quite chipped. So, although we had a lovely stay, there are things about this hotel which do not live up to a 5 star rating and the high price tag that comes with those stars. I feel we paid 5 star and only got 4 star.

Cons: only one thing, and quite common in Morocco: during checkout, the proposed bill on the creditcard was in Euros.. With a very bad rate applied. This is below the belt, and not what I expect from a top 5-star hotel!

Pros: For Marrakesh, the location of this hotel doesn't get any better. It is right around the corner from the bustle of the square and easy to get around anywhere. Cons: Not much! The mattress are very hard, so sleeping here more than 2 nights would have been difficult. Otherwise everything else was great!

They strung us along for several hours about attempts to fix the AC in our room only to finally admit there was no AC in the hotel in February (despite being a warm and muggy night) after we confronted them with the fact that every room had its windows open.

Christine and staff were wonderful, especially Nora - she went above and beyond to help me with my phone issue on the last night of my stay! Christine (the riad manager) personally welcomes each and every one of the guests, making them feel pampered and totally taken care of from check-in to check-out. Overall, the whole staff is wonderful; extremely helpful and professional. GORGEOUS DREAMY ROOMS (and BATHTUBS!) Beautifully designed rooms and bathrooms - welcoming you with a magical Arabic vibe, lavish interiors, sensual scents, rose petals and any comforts you need to feel like that's your home. Spotless clean & extremely comfy beds. GREAT WIFI everywhere! TRANSCENDENTAL HAMMAM & ORIENTAL MASSAGE EXPERIENCE DINING - Delicious and abundant dinner (need booking beforehand). GREAT LOCATION - I never called a taxi to reach the Medina or any other major city highlights.

Cons: A little far from the Medina. Thankfully Christine and co. are more than willing to book a taxi for guests if you do need to take one.

Cons: The bathroom was a bit small. The room size was perfect although getting around the edge of the bed was tight but it wasn't that bad. the breakfast was a definite miss. We didn't enjoy much of it. Maybe if we went down earlier, it would have tasted fresher or just better. Or maybe not

Cons: The food was so expensive wasn't worth eating in especially breakfast was like 25 bucks a person..even after booking breakfast included with my reservation they told my mom she had to pay..Also apparently there was a high profile guest, some Saudi prince I suppose there and they diverted all the air-conditioning to his rooms...which is messed up...and not fair. I don't care if he's a prince were all humans and guests at the hotel...air conditioning should be for everyone!! Especially in a desert city! But other than that..the staff were supper attentive and professional.

Cons: The room was too hot and the air condition was off. They insisted not to switch on the AC although my reservation was including AC. They changed my room for a cooler one but it was bad and low condition. If you want to open the window for fresh and cool air all the noise from outside comes in

They advised us to open windows to settle down room temperature but there is so much noise you could hear aircraft takeoff from the hotel. In terms of food we just had breakfast there and I would rate as average.

Cons: Smiling, greeting and small courtesy does not cost anything, but creates the athmosphere. Dead serious staff members to customer service training. Management wake up please. Cook or new cook should vary even a bit the meals and also this could be easily done without extra costs. Using cash all the time in the hotel is oldfashioned and awkward, one should be able to sign the shoppings in the restaurant and bar to your room bill. AC pretty inefficient.

Cons: The staff was not attentive. We got the wrong room in the beginning and the second room was not ready when we entered it. It was still dirty and no sheets were on the bed. Eventually the bed sheets had cigarette burning holes. Next to the hotel in front of the swimming pool is a huge construction side with noise all the day. The quality of the food in the restaurant (dinner and breakfast) is not at all justified for the money. Breakfast is basically bread and jam. Dinner was a buffet with no vegetarian choice and really bad quality food. The waiter was unfriendly , not at all service oriented and asked us to pay in Euros. The hotel is rather central but for sure not in the middle of the city. It takes a lot of walking to get to the Medina. All in all a very bad experience where we felt over and over again cheated.
