Cons: I was a little disappointed in the size of our room and the view that we had. As this was a big occasion for my wife and I (anniversary and last holiday before our newborn arrives) we were disappointed to have no view at all and a small room.

The room was very nicely appointed, albeit a bit small/crowded for two people, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. They even have a pillow menu to choose other options if you would like.
Highlight: from the restaurant, which serves a lovely breakfast in the morning, you have a beautiful view of the Colosseum. It's a great way to start the day!

Pros: This hotel is only a few blocks away from the Coliseum and restaurants are everywhere . So you’ve heard the old saying location location location this hotel has it. We had a nice large room for three people. They had a beautiful breakfast buffet that we couldn’t stay for, as we had to leave for our plane at 5:30 in the morning. The staff prepared us three take away meals or us to take with us to the airport. This was probably the best hotel we stayed in in Europe in over four years. I highly recommend it. When we go back to Rome we will definitely stay at this hotel.

Pros: The accommodations were great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is terrific as the Roma Termini is about 10 minutes away and that includes the Metro and bus lines. The Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Pantheon are within 15 - 20 minutes away. The Cellini is expanding from 6 rooms to 12 rooms on two floors with a larger dining facility and balcony area for relaxing in October. We would definitely recommend staying there to our friends and family.

Had to take allergy meds to be able to breath.

The area is amazing - opposite the American Embassy - very safe and nice to walk around. Less than 10 mins walk from The Spanish Steps and the fashion high street if you feel like dropping some serious cash. We booked this place last minute because we weren't satisfied with our initial hotel in Rome and so this was a lovely alternative. Made our stay in this city very memorable.

Pros: The staff was AMAZING! Everyone from the front desk, to the doormen, to the cleaning staff, everyone went out of their way to accommodate anything you needed. The flip side to being a long walk to the sights also added to the location by not being in the overly crowded tourist mobs. The street was lovely.
Cons: Gym closed at 8 pm, I tend to work out later at night. A bit of a hike to the areas we wanted to walk to so we had to take a taxi. One of the elevators was broken and the other was TINY. Honestly that didn't bother me as I tend to walk the stairs, but others may not be too happy.

Pros: Absolutely loved our stay at this amazing hotel. Rooms are gorgeous. Staff is super helpful. Lovely and friendly - ready to assist with anything you want. The area is amazing - opposite the American Embassy - very safe and nice to walk around. Less than 10 mins walk from The Spanish Steps and the fashion high street if you feel like dropping some serious cash. We booked this place last minute because we weren't satisfied with our initial hotel in Rome and so this was a lovely alternative. Made our stay in this city very memorable.

Pros: The hotel is has moderate sized rooms. It is definitely a boutique hotel and the rooms have a rustic feel to them. However, the bathrooms were very modern and clean. The bed was comfortable and the staff was very kind and approachable. The rooftop is beautiful. We spent our late nights up there and it just made you feel like your were in Europe. Right in the heart. The breeze, the view and the drinks are really good! You get a small discount when you are a guest of the hotel. We did not eat at the hotel because there is a cafe/restaurant literally next door on the corner of the beautiful pillar and church in front of the hotel. The location of the hotel is impeccable. We used the train every single day and it was so nice to walk less than 10 min. We felt completely safe - even when we arrived in Rome to the hotel at midnight and had dinner at 12:30 at that cafe mentioned above. Overall, great staff, clean rooms (and bathroom), great service and a beautiful rooftop (and good bar service) to top it all off. We highly recommend the hotel.

Pros: The location was close to major city landmarks. There was a bus available that stopped right by the hotel (for 7 euros for 24 hours) and it could be used to take the bus around the city. The room was clean and had adequate space, and the air conditioning worked well. The roof garden offered a beautiful view of the city. Breakfast was good, and it included eggs, meats, fruit, breads, pastries, coffee, tea, juices, etc. The airport shuttle was 55 euros for two people, and this was a good price for transport to the Fiumicino Airport without worries. There is also an ATM right across the street from the hotel.

We were offered a very reasonable upgrade to get a room with a sensational view of the Basillica. The roof-top bar/restaurant was a great place for a pre-dinner cocktail, whilst watching the sun set over Rome. To use this also for breakfast was a lovely bonus! Don't forget to pop next door for one of the best gelato's in Rome

Cons: It was not mentioned that some of the rooms are in the annex; that is a separate area near the hotel that you cannot access through the main lobby. It was a little inconvenient, especially in the evening, to have to walk along the street to get to the main hotel and restaurant. I would have liked to have known about this ahead of time. This area does not have an elevator, but the hotel did provide someone to take the luggage upstairs. The only other minus was that one morning we were unable to get any hot water for showers, even after letting the water run for a long time. This did not seem to be a problem in the evenings.

Cons: We arrived at the hotel at noon, after almost 24 hours of travel. We were exhausted. The front desk staff reminded us that check-in was at 2 p.m., but proceeded to allow 11 other couples/families to register and go to their rooms before 2 p.m.. We sat in the lobby for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The front desk did not check with the cleaning staff until we had been sitting there for an hour and a half, and I went to the desk a second time. Not a great way to start a vacation.

Pros: It's completely in the center of Rome, just a few steps from Coliseum. It is in the aristocratic part of Rome so the building makes you feel one of them. Room is so big, with a wonderful TV you can connect your hard disk to see your own films. Bed is nice (a better mattress would be very valued but you can easily rest). Bathroom is so big and modern. The explanation of the city and its surroundings from the staff was so amazing. It was so needed to take the best advantage of Rome.

Cons: Staff. They charged us extra 20€ for a late check in (what’s late, we arrived at 19.30). For that price we waited for receptionist by the door for 20 min. Well, receptionist wasn’t there for the next two days straight. They managed to check us out at 12.00 (and not charge anything, thanks for that). But again receptionist wasn’t at the desk. And another family was waiting for check in. We tried to call host for half an hour, but with no results. We left the building glad that this journey is over for us.

Cons: We had no electric for four hours. Had to ring staff to come as a fuse had went. Staff left with the hall lights working but didn’t check rooms. Also no warm water, rang staff kept saying 5minutes then she ignored our phone call. Rang another guy he flipped some switches and we finally got warm water. The locks on the main door into the apartment doesn’t lock we pushed it open the whole stay. Other guest always complained the previous day they had no electric and staff didn’t do anything to help

In the bathroom there are like "transparent crystals" in the wall directly to the bed so the independance when going to the toilet is not so felt. They ony left one shampoo&shower gel in the room, and we were two people. But the following day we asked for them and they gave us 2 bottles :)

Cons: The street was quite loud until 2am, but this is an issue with many properties in a big bustling city like Rome. Just bring some ear plugs. The only real issue that I would point out to prospective bookers, is that there was a door in our room connecting to the adjacent room and this door did not appear to be secure. It was thin, louvered, and did not have a lock on our side. There was a keyhole that someone had stuffed toilet paper in to prevent anyone seeing through. Even though I can physically handle myself, I blocked the door with furniture and luggage before sleeping. However, I would not want my kids, especially daughters, to stay in this room. To management- this is an inexpensive issue to address. Just get a solid core door and install two locks, one on each side. Other than this, the stay was perfect.

Cons: Some facilities are broken though working - it looks like these were overlooked and neglected by the staff or management - the airconditioning control in our room is broken so we cannot adjust it properly, the bathroom door is not fixed, the shower is quite difficult to adjust because if you turn it slight left it gets burning hot but then cold when you turn slight right. The rainshower does not spurt water at all and at one time i wanted to open the safe with my code and it didn't open for so many tries. After 20mins i tried again and it worked but for surety, i didn't use it anymore.

Cons: The breakfast left a lot to be desired, with watery orange juice, so-so coffee, industrial-style cheese and cold cuts. Only the ricotta cheese was decent. In retrospect I'd have rather had breakfast at the café round the corner. The rooms are pretty lived in, with dings, bangs and scratches everywhere. There's lots of single use plastic and packaging in use in the bathroom, not very environmentally friendly.

Cons: The cleaning of the rooms was something that I was a little unsure of, it seems that even though our towels were changed each day the bedding was not, I found a small bug twice in the bed and I was bit 11 times, now I can’t say if that was due to the room or not but it did seem unusual that I kept waking up each day with new bites! Other than this minor thing I would recommend this establishment!

Cons: The hotel is in bad shape. Carpet is shabby, paint chipping off walls, etc. I'd stayed at a Eurostar hotel in Munich that was modern, clean and very comfortable and thought the Rome location would be similar since it's a chain...but they seemed like two different companies.
That said, it's fine for the budget traveler. Clean room and decent shower, but the whole place from the lobby to the rooms are just much shabbier than they appear online.

Absolutely awful breakfast. noone from the staff pay attention to you. The salad was spoiled, pineapples turn sour. I will never stop in this hotel. it may have 2 star, not 4!

Cons: the superior room i booked looked contemporary with nice furnishings, however on arrival we were allocated something completely different, when i complained i was informed there was more than one type of superior room, it was only when i refused to move from reception that the room i thought i had booked was allocated to us so beware you may end up at the front of the hotel overlooking a very busy/loud main road. Stated television with internarional channels, only one english one - BBC World News ! No tea/coffee making facilities in the room - unacceptable for the price we paid.

Cons: Considering this is a 4 stars hotel, I expected better conditions. The doors are old and had to be slammed to be closed and because there is no soundproofing, you could hear them being slammed from anywhere in the hotel. The key card didn't work properly, you have to try 4-5 times before you could open the door and I saw other guests having the same problem. The bathtub looked old and chipped.

I seemed like a real hassle when I asked where the lift was and then the porter helped me with my luggage, but definitely wasn’t happy about helping. Then, all downhill. Internet didn’t work properly but they tried to fix but said maybe my problem. The tv never worked and took ages to fix. The bed so so hard and the pillows were dreadful. The room was so small. Then, breakfast. No gluten free bread even though I asked when I booked. Cold eggs, salami and the cups for tea were so small you couldn’t pick them up properly. Then at the end of my stay I asked for them to book a taxi to the airport. What a nightmare! They don’t speak English well at all. I had to ask 3 times in different times of the day just to make sure. And then late at night I realised that the airport is some 45 mins away and asked them to change time for pickup but they wouldn’t do this. So at 11pm I downloaded the taxi app myself and organised it. The pictures on the net are NOT what they are. I was grossly ripped off! BEWARE

Pros: Great location within easy access of Rome Termini. 24 hour reception which is great for late check in. Breakfast was fine - a good choice. Lots of choices for Trattoria in the surrounding streets.
Cons: Overall decor of the hotel is dated. Much could be improved with a new stairwell carpet, fresh paint and an update of the entrance.

Cons: The shower was filthy and riddled with mould. The shower screen door was basically hanging off. There was no blind on our door the first day, however one did magically appear the second day. Everything felt old and far from “4 stars”. Wifi signal was dismal, half the machines in the gym were broken, the rooftop spa was green and slimy.

Cons: Main problem ... no hot water and staff seems to think that it is normal. Also, the towels do not seems to be clean. Actually, I was originally quite happy with the hotel ... its excellent location (walking distance from Roma Train Station). The staff appeared to be very friendly and we were able to get a kettle despite none is originally available at the room. We stayed five nights, but then small problems started to creep up. First, the kettle we first got did not really work, and the staff was friendly and changed a working one for us eventually. Then, most of the power sockets in the room are type L, instead of the tighter C or F, and the adapters we have often got disconnected or fall out. Loose socket connection is actually a safety hazard! Also, the refrigerator in room was not really that cold, the staff tried to help but it didn't really get it fixed. Then on the last night, there was no hot water, which was really bad considering it was August and we spent the whole day out in the sun. When we call the front desk, the reply was water pressure was low and not much they can do. That was a first for me, and checking the web, I found that this is a well complained problem, making it even worse (from my perspective). System does not seem to respect (and hence be able to respond to) customer complaints ! It is really a dent for me, after having a great 24 day tour in Italy and Greece.

Cons: Felt very unsafe in the surrounding streets, surrounded by pick pocketers, homeless, beggars and other shady characters. When asked for assistance from staff it was not always willingly given. Some staff were on the verge of being rude and arrogant. Bathrooms were horrible with just a loose glass door closing off the toilet from the rest of the room (when we asked if any rooms were available with closed off bathrooms we were told that it was a modern style and that we should have looked more closely at the photos. We were then offered a room with facilities for persons with disabilities which had a closed off bathroom, but this was only available then following day during the morning hours when we had booked a tour so we missed our window of opportunity!). Breakfast and use of the pool were only available at an extra charge. Shower gel was provided 2 days out of 4. Non decaff coffee was provided on the first day only and not replenished. Room looked like it was painted by an amateur with brush strokes overlapping onto the floor tiles making the room look like a cheap bed and breakfast.

Cons: I love expected more from a Radisson Blu Hotel, having stayed in others previously and been very pleased. There was no door for privacy in the shower, which I wasn’t aware of, I would not have booked this room if I was. There was mould under the rim in the bath. Water came through to the bedroom when using the shower. And we had powdered milk with the coffee/tea facilities. The location was good for the train station, which was nice.
