Pros: The staff was most helpful. The rooms are on the small side but with a large modern bathroom. Plenty of public areas to sit and enjoy a cup of tea. The breakfast was wonderful, did not expect to see the variety. There is a buffet and the waiters come around with additional selections!

Pros: The staff were without exception so friendly and helpful, the room (324) was clean and comfortable, albeit a little small and without a view, but had a great bed and very large bathroom including jacuzzi & substantial separate shower. The breakfasts were superb, with numerous daily freshly prepared delights brought round. We also dined twice in the excellent roof top restaurant because we had enjoyed the first dinner so much. We had a lovely stay, and wouldn't hesitate to return.
Cons: Bathroom was a very good size, but lacked lay down areas or sufficient coat / towel hooks in some convenient locations.

Pros: beautiful big room nice support staff
Cons: bad location far from city center hotel charges you for everything

Cons: If this hotel was anywhere else but in Rome, you would consider it old and run down. The furniture in the guest rooms is ancient and the decore is very tacky. They are trying to go for some "original decore" look, but unless they want to tell me that Julius Caesar stayed there himself it's not working. The furniture in the guest rooms are not "antiques"; they are just old.... Sadly I'm not sure there's much better in Rome. The city seems to get away with never having to remodel, update, or provide any amenities under the disguise of being "authentic." Their "concierge" is useless. Other than showing you a map of the city and telling you how to get to the Vatican, they cannot/will not do anything to actually help you. They are really just untrained and glorified bellmen. Not what you would expect from a purported "luxury" hotel. Finally, they seem to think that using the pool is an optional amenity. There's a charge if you want to sit anywhere by the pool. Chairs and beds are not free. What mutil-star hotel charge to use their pool??? That's the stupidest thing. The result is that everyone is forced to sit in a circle around the edge of the pool or to lay down on the concrete.

Pros: Fabulous staff who couldn't do enough for us. The concierge, Anna, and Chiara, who checked us in couldn't have been more helpful during our stay. The hotel was immaculate and the gardens, beautiful. We felt very much taken care of on a very personal level. Thanks so much much for such wonderful service. We will definitely return.
Cons: It's a little away from the city but the hotel shuttle bus runs an excellent service. And besides, if we were in town, the room sizes wouldn't be as decadent.

Pros: The location was excellent. The rooms were clean and spacious. The people at the reception desk were always helpful. The (included) breakfast was completely amazing. We especially loved going to the garden room restaurant to have a beer in the late afternoon to cool off and rest a bit (they also brought a bowl of peanuts, a bowl of potato chips, and once, a bowl of mixed snacks to go with).
Cons: One night we were too tired to find a local restaurant so we ate in their restaurant. The food was good, but pricier and not as marvelous as the local restaurants off site. But that's in comparison to the fabulous food all over Italy, so its a really high bar.

Pros: An old hotel that has echoes of "The Grand Budapest Hotel", a faded palace where Verdi once stayed. Steps from Termini station and the A Metro at Republicà, it is an excellent jumping off point for your Roman stay. The staff is extremely friendly.
Cons: The included breakfast is forgettable, though the garden in which it is served is not. Skip it for a cappuccino and corneto at one of Rome's countless Caffè.

Pros: The cleanliness was not top priority they only made beds they did not clear cups for days or replace toilet paper. The Defoe at night reminds me of the shining as well. The breakfast set up was ok but when ordering room service as the walk is so far the staff is rude
Cons: See above

Pros: The price
Cons: The hotel is in bad shape. Carpet is shabby, paint chipping off walls, etc. I'd stayed at a Eurostar hotel in Munich that was modern, clean and very comfortable and thought the Rome location would be similar since it's a chain...but they seemed like two different companies. That said, it's fine for the budget traveler. Clean room and decent shower, but the whole place from the lobby to the rooms are just much shabbier than they appear online.

Pros: The ease of walking out the hotel and being able to reach each famous landmark/ site with in half an hour at the most (Bar the Vatican) was I thought very convient.
Cons: The contental breakfast wasn't very nice sorry to say... the pasteries were to die for on the other hand though.

Pros: Great location! We could walk to all places we wanted to see in Rome! The hotel was nice, clean and staff was friendly.
Cons: The one thing we did not like was that our double bed was two singles pushed together, which is not uncommon for Europe, but not preferable to us.

Pros: Hotel very clean, wonderful friendly & helpful staff, appreciated shuttle service provided for small fee, room very clean & large. Only difficult part they should tell people for women is that you need to plug in curling irons & hair dryer in closet - that was the strangest thing I've ever seen in a hotel room. We basically stayed at this hotel since it was the only one that had transfer to cruise terminal but ended up was happy with our stay. For Sunday Mass their was a Catholic Church nearby.
Cons: Pool - ladder to try to get down to pool was metal along side of pool was very hard to try to climb down - should have had a step down area with large steps plus indicate depth of pool at various spots. Also the round pool had no steps to get down into it either - hard to get out of it with no steps!

Pros: The staff was great, the location put us in walking distance of transportation
Cons: The elevator situation left a lot to be desired, held 4 on one and six on the other. To get to our room required two elevators for room 235 on the first floor. From outside our room the stairs could not be used, alarmed. The restraunt was on the 7 th floor did not open until 7 am, we had to leave at 7:30. There were 4 tour groups in at the same time next to impossible to get to the restaurant by elevator , required walking up 7 floors.the large number of people had to wait in the landing, very small . Only one key, inconvenient Would not return if we had another choice. Even with a provided breakfast we needed to go outside to meet our schedule, largely due to time slots at the Vatican.
