Pros: Stayed there for 5 nights and did not regret it at all. The hotel staff was very friendly, breakfast was exceptional and the room was quite comfortable to stay. The location is amazing, it only takes 5 minutes to walk to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, and about 20 minutes to the Termini railway station. If i had to visit Rome again, I would definitely consider this hotel.

Pros: The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff in the breakfast room always had smiles on their faces and were so hospitable...a nice way to start the day. The front desk staff answered any questions we had and the map of Rome they gave us on the first day came in very handy. After taking a long walk on the first day and then returned to the room, seeing the slippers placed by the side of the bed was such a comforting sight. Customer service was exemplary. The location, too, was convenient to so many attractions, as we chose to do a lot of walking. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Cons: The rooms were too hot, and the air conditioning unit didn’t work which meant I needed to open a window all night. The noise was awful, cats screeching, and youths hang around on steps just outside again so noisy. The plugs where you can charge phones didn’t work and my mother in law had a tv with a wire hanging out but with no plug to make it work.

Pros: Everything - mainly the service from staff , the little things I called up to ask if the roof top pool was open they told me unfortunately not due to the season , when I returned to my room I received a letter saying they are happy to open the rooftop for us to take pictures - they even give out portable charging blocks to guests to ensure they always have phone charge Honestly every little detail in this hotel is exceptional , power in our room tripped out a few times but no drama they upgraded us straight away to a different room Room cleaning service I would say is hands down the best I have ever seen , the rooms are done twice a day everything replenished , on par with the cleaning service in Dubai Location - metro metro metro so easy to get everywhere ! The concierge recommended the most amazing restaurants we ended up going there twice ! He was genuinely pleased when we informed him - “il falchetto” I think

Cons: I would say the property was perfect Never did use the restaurant did feel a little pretentious when we went to order a drink but I think they are trying to get a Michelin so each to there own , it still looked beautiful and actually reasonably priced

Cons: for a five star luxury hotel of this caliber the tv is very small and cold and it contains only one english channel and 15 italian channels !!!!! Also the breakfast lacks variety:

Pros: Rome was fabulous but hotel was a huge disappointment.
Cons: Expensive for what it offered. Dinner for 2 was 250 euros and breakfast was 25 euros per person. Breakfast was disgusting with scrambled eggs that tasted like rubber. To iro a handkerchief was 9 euros - not that we did but this gives you an idea of what a rip off it was. Swimming pool is a small plunge pool and was out of service anyway.

Cons: The staff were so impersonal as to verge on being uninterested. Lack of central lobby was unatmospheric and the hotel's location is poor for sightseeing. They also haven't got their roof top terrace sorted out properly. Lovely idea having a pool but it's very cramped.

Cons: The spa staff was not attentive to be kind, first rescheduling a treatment and then being more than 30 minutes late on the new appointment time. They seemed unhappy and offered no regrets when we decided to cancel after waiting with no up date until we left. We had an interior room and fortunately it was too hot to think about sitting on the balcony over looking to courtyard because the dumpsters were in the courtyard and smelled when we stepped out there on arrival. This is a poor use of this space regardless and the Bauer can do better.
