Rome hotels near Piazza dei Mercanti

Pros: The staff were without exception so friendly and helpful, the room (324) was clean and comfortable, albeit a little small and without a view, but had a great bed and very large bathroom including jacuzzi & substantial separate shower. The breakfasts were superb, with numerous daily freshly prepared delights brought round. We also dined twice in the excellent roof top restaurant because we had enjoyed the first dinner so much. We had a lovely stay, and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Pros: The staff was most helpful. The rooms are on the small side but with a large modern bathroom. Plenty of public areas to sit and enjoy a cup of tea. The breakfast was wonderful, did not expect to see the variety. There is a buffet and the waiters come around with additional selections!

Pros: Our room at the Artemide was comfortable and well equipped. Staff at the hotel were excellent and very helpful. The free wireless and complimentary drinks included with our room were a nice bonus.

Pros: Location was great for sightseeing, close to bus statin and metro links, and easy to walk to many of the major sites.

Pros: It was very central to the sites and as we had never been to Rome before we where very pleased with the location.

Pros: The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff in the breakfast room always had smiles on their faces and were so hospitable...a nice way to start the day. The front desk staff answered any questions we had and the map of Rome they gave us on the first day came in very handy. After taking a long walk on the first day and then returned to the room, seeing the slippers placed by the side of the bed was such a comforting sight. Customer service was exemplary. The location, too, was convenient to so many attractions, as we chose to do a lot of walking. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Pros: While the location is great, and the reception, bar and restaurant are beautifully decorated, the room itself looked a bit out of date and used. There were stains on ceilings. We also had a difficult time keeping a comfortable temperature (too hot) even though we were there in mid-November.

Pros: An old hotel that has echoes of "The Grand Budapest Hotel", a faded palace where Verdi once stayed. Steps from Termini station and the A Metro at Republicà, it is an excellent jumping off point for your Roman stay. The staff is extremely friendly.

Pros: The cleanliness was not top priority they only made beds they did not clear cups for days or replace toilet paper. The Defoe at night reminds me of the shining as well. The breakfast set up was ok but when ordering room service as the walk is so far the staff is rude

We especially loved going to the garden room restaurant to have a beer in the late afternoon to cool off and rest a bit (they also brought a bowl of peanuts, a bowl of potato chips, and once, a bowl of mixed snacks to go with).

II monument etc. -Nearby Allesio, an excellent restaurant around the corner with reasonable prices and excellent Roman dishes. -Beautiful balcony that came with the room. -Ordered room service of wine and appetizer to be ready upon arrival. Executed perfectly and affordably. -Wonderful breakfast with ultra professional staff

Pros: The staff was very helpful and friendly. They helped us to set up tours and book train tickets to Milan. Great breakfast. The room was very nice comfortable bed very bright red decor though. I thought might be bothersome but wasn’t an issue at all. Within walking distance of the train station. It was easy to walk to many places from this location.
