Pros: Location is excellent. Also bars in the hotel are amazing - the terrace is such a nice place for drinks in the evenings. The cocktail bar is also really cool. I stayed at the hotel twice already and will definitely come back when I return to Madrid.

Pros: We loved everything about this hotel. The staff, facilities and general ambiance were fantastic. The hotel was right in the centre of Madrid and we were able to walk everywhere. The glass bar serves really nice food and drinks and the rooftop bar was a great place to chill out in the afternoon.

Pros: As other people have said, it is the staff at this hotel that were really great and I have told people about it that I would not normally tell or make comment to. If all hotels used this one as an example of how to deal with customers from the point you enter it, travelling would be a lot more pleasant. It is the little things that they do so well and always cheerfully, they respond, they are good at what they do from the restaurant to the bar to reception and the doorman and porter. I dont know how they do it, but they need to keep the secret and keep it going!!

The best feature is the location, just a short walk to Puerta Del Sol and tons of restaurants/tapas bars, and a pleasant walk to the Prado or the Palace Real. The desk staff were very helpful in identifying nearby restaurants and answering questions about Madrid. The bathroom amenities were outstanding, nice big towels and a great shower. Black out curtains and free internet were a big plus.

Cons: The only thing we didn’t like was that the rooftop bar wasn’t open every day (closed Monday and Tuesday in winter - and only open 1pm-9pm Wednesday-Sunday)

Cons: Urban is very attractive and the rooms spacious by European standards, but ours on Floor 1 was very noisy. Not sure about the upper floors, but we heard everyone in the hallway, all the early morning preparations and the popular bar at night. The beds may be to European tastes, but far too firm for us - just a mattress on a platform. The breakfast was inappropriately expensive (a smaller, more affordable option - coffee, juice and croissants, perhaps?). We also missed being able to utilize some of the common spaces, esp. the roof terrace, due to many private functions. The desk staff were great but others seemed more interested in chic than service. This hotel is best suited for (much) younger people and business travelers.

Cons: The staff charged for breakfast when we didn't even attended the breakfast neither we called for breakfast in the room.When I challenged it they took off the charges. My family checked out of one room a day before and they were charged extra too. They were running late for the airport so they paid without checking exactly. But next day when I checked out and asked them to produce the evidence of me or my husband in the breakfast room or the call recording of the phone if we called for breakfast in the room. All of a sudden the staff took off all the charges. This makes me think that my family has been charged extra too as they didn't check
