Pros: We loved our stay at this property. We had the room adjacent to the bar, so we had the whole bar area and the two rooms next to it for the night. There were many board games (we played backgammon) and a piano in addition to an extensive collection of cameras from the very early ones to the most recent ones there, which kept us entertained for hours!

The B&B in itself is simply a little jewel: a beautiful house, individually decorated rooms and a stunning in-house bar! Breakfast, location and everything else was also perfect. Thanks for everything - I cannot wait for my next visit!

Pros: My wife, the baby girl (5 yo) and me was in Cheriton and we felt at home! The place is absolutely amazing! We parked our rented car in front of the entrance and we can move easily by it with small drive everywhere in Simon's Town, and did take a walk 'till Boulders Beach crowded of penguins. During the evening from the road we did hear penguins voices. Breakfast so good cooked in a bit after asking us what we'dd like to have. The owners suggested us restaurants and places to visit, wines to taste and many many other things. They took care of our girl as she was their daughter too, they take care of us like we were parents. Felt at home without being at home. Thanks for evrything, hope to see U soon, asap!

Pros: We loved everything from the minute we walked in, they have a beautiful lobby and extremely comfortable room with a stunning view. They have everything you need for a quick getaway. They also have the most friendly staff that pay attention to detail. It was a birthday getaway and when we checked out they surprised me with a gift and a very sweet card. Breakfast was included and it was yummmmyly amazing which also had a stunning view. We would definitely recommend them to couples looking for a comfortable and relaxing weekend away.

Pros: Very accommodating staff. Beautiful views.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Andre was a great host and ensured that we felt comfortable with the guest house facilities. He was informative and friendly, and had some good suggestions on activities in the area. The view from the guest house was fantastic and we were very central to local amenities.
Cons: The guest house offers good value for money, however is looking a little tired in places. Some fresh paint and modern furniture would be a good idea in the near future. We were a little uncertain of the extended security features of the property, e.g. external beams, and whether these were active during our stay to provide assurance in an unfamiliar environment.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was a reason to make this holiday unforgettable. The stunning view from the balcony with a morning coffee worth already the price. Great chat with the owner and a couple of tips for activities around this area was also really helpful.

Pros: The apartment was comfortable and the views were incredible. Highly recommended.
Cons: I cannot think of anyway they could have improved. It was lovely
5,8 Okay
Pros: Probably only the view.
Cons: Dirty cups and cutlery. Dirty empty containers in the kitchen. Staff coming in and out of apartment during our stay. No idea where to leave keys at check out. Bedding needs upgrading. Still waiting for my receipt to be emailed to me.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at the 2-bedroom seaview appartement on the upper floor. The location is perfect and the view breath taking. We loved our stay at Albatross Guest House and extended for 1night. André was very kind and helpful. Perfect location to visit attractions around false bay such as penguin colonies, kalk bay, muizenberg or cape of good hope. Very calm, spacious and spotless appartement with the most amazing view over simon's town, the harbour and false bay.We ended up eating breakfast& dinner on our balcony, every room has his own balcony and the view is just amazing and the atmosphere so peaceful. Very good equipped kitchen and pick&pay supermarket just 5min. drive. Loved it here and recommend it without hesitation
Cons: to leave after 3 nights. We could have stayed an entire week, but no time :(
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The VIEWS!!!! Absolutely spectacular. The location was perfect for exploring Simon’s Town, penguins and the Cape of Good Hope. Kitchen was well equipped for a dinner on the deck over looking the water. The space was clean and darling. Our host, Andre, was a pleasure and so kind!
Cons: We traveled with our family of four and my mom, so we needed the pullout in the living area to fit us all. The two bedrooms were lovely. The couch/pullout in the living area was uncomfortable and worn. If we hadn’t have needed the pullout couch, it wouldn’t have been an issue.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The view, the neatness, the communication. Thanks is was great.
Cons: Hairdryer for my wife :-)

Pros: Absolutely amazing host. Lovely property with a great lounge. We enjoyed drinks from the honesty bar. The hosts allowed us to keep our room after going to the beach for a shower. Nothing was too much trouble I would really recommend this place and a great breakfast too

Cons: Nothing...we didn't want to leave...
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting and interior, friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast
Cons: Nothing
6,3 Good
Pros: WARNING! BEWARE: I input 2 guests into booking.com search and booked/paid for a double room ( implies 2 guests!) on line. When I arrived the receptionist said something about the booking being only for 1 person, so I checked and saw it was a double room and thought nothing more of ut until I went to turn in the key at departure and was BILLED for “ a second person” which doubled the rate!!!! I showed her that I’d input 2 guests on booking.com, paid the total amount for a double room, and it wasted 40 min of prime vacation time trying to show her that inputting 2 guests in the site gave a final price for 2. She still insisted on “ giving me a deal of only $35 for the second guest!!! UNBELIEVABLE! I finally got tired of trying to talk sense into her, paid the extra 375 R “deal” and left FURIOUS!!! TOTAL SCAM!!!
Cons: BEING SCAMMED ON PRICE!!!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: location close to the Cape of good hope
Cons: nothing
6,8 Good
Pros: - The view is definitely the strong point of this place; - Nice decoration of the leaving room; - The dog :); - The fact that the owner and the manager had one or two small gestures to compensate some of the above. It is not a bad place but does not worth the price you pay. They could adjust the prices or offer more.
Cons: - Internet was not working on the first night - the day after was okay; - The door of the room could only be closed with key; - We had a broken plug in the room and the first night we were not able to charge our electronic equipments; - There is a bath tub in the bathroom and the shower option is incoveninent - there is a stair that does not allow you to stand straight while showering; - Small room; - Lack of privacy at the balcony in case room next door is occupied; - No ice or proper glasses for a drink were available at the bar - we had to look for someone to provide; - Charging extra for smothies or any changes on breakfast predefined menus - This is not a low cost hotel these should be free of charge; - Parking super narrow and difficult even for small cars. In general, no attention to details, it lacks the professionalism of a hotel and the warmth of a guest house. Not up to standard, superficially things look good but then they are not. The worst quality/price place we have stayed in South Africa.
6,7 Good
Pros: Hearing the waves crash outside our window throughout the night made for a peaceful stay. The gentlemen who served us seemed to care about our welfare and happiness.
7,0 Good
Pros: Highlights were Shark Cage Diving and Deep Sea Fishing
Cons: N/A
5,7 Okay
Pros: Jimmy and Jackson, the staff who greeted us were very freindly and welcoming. The hotel has immediate acess to a beach cove and we actually swum when it was safe. that is rare. Also - the Cape of Good Hope is a twenty minute drive. So we found that to be an advantage too. omethn rare in that part of the
Cons: The room facing the main road had not darkening shades, so you wake up with the sunrise (the room faces East). The bed was not comfortable and the proximity to the main road makes it inevitable noisy and early wake-up.
7,0 Good
Pros: The view from the rooms are so beautiful and the decor is really great. I also liked the staff's helpfulness.

9,5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location within walking distance of the penguin information centre and boardwalks . A minute away from the beach where the penguins usually make an appearance . Where else in the world can you swim with these beautiful birds in their natural habitat !!! Great room with a seaside feel Very friendly and helpful staff Fantastic food in the resteraunt
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is more then perfect! Penguins walk all over the places: the walk path, parking lot, etc. The staff is very friendly. Everything was great! The food is delicious! We've been a little bit afraid about the noise from the restaurant, but everything was fine! Relaxing and cozy atmosphere! On the first line from the ocean.
7,0 Good
Pros: Location for Boulders penguins is excellent.
Cons: The hotel does not have sea view rooms, despite the listing. They are apparently aware of the error on booking.com but haven't changed it. Also no real balconies- just the outdoor walkway joining the upstairs rooms. The room I was assigned smelt strongly of cigarette smoke but they moved me with no problems. Bathrooms are tired with stained shower curtains.
7,0 Good
Pros: we had power problem. that's the main issue.
Cons: one of the room's water pipe bursted very late at night, and there was nobody coming to help.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The place is simply charming! The rooms are comfortable with a mini- fridge, kettle and even a space heater! The location is perfect, so you get up close and personal with the penguins. The room includes breakfast which you pick off the menu. The food here was excellent: juicy burgers, a plate full of grilled prawns, killer fish n chips. The staff were more than helpful. They’re excited you’re there and go out of their way to make sure gusts are happy. Both Clinton and Kate were consummate hosts. Thank you for everything!
Cons: There’s not much I didn’t like, really. It rained throughout the night and water seeped in under the door, but this building is old which sorta added to the charm. It’s also a bit out of town, so there’s not a lot going on after hours. Service in the restaurant stops at 7pm
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Second time we've been there and would recommend to anyone
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing right next to penguin beach, the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble and go out of their way to make your stay memorable.
Cons: The car park gets busy during the day
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location is simply amazing. The penguins are literally on your doorstep and the views are exquisite!
Cons: The in room facilities could have been better. - No safe or TV.
4,3 Okay
Cons: Poor service at restaurant and dirty tables throughout weekend that never gets cleaned. Food and accommodation is terrible for the amount being charged. Food was poor, no flavor, burnt, and dry and some still raw. Had a seaview room booked and paid for but didn't get a sea view room at all. Rooms had almost no facilities. No Aircon (dust on fan too), no TV. Shower was in bath tub with stains on shower curtain and bath tub. On arrival I wasn't given the necessary information as one should get when arriving (wifi password, information about area and service etc).
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast with a view. Tidy rooms Friendly helpful staff and owners Close to penguins
