Pros: Lovely property, nice location, John was very friendly
7,1 Good
Pros: Excellent space available. Good facilities and room heating during winter.
Cons: After being at around 50 or so hotels/holiday homes etc. Never have I been interrupted thrice. Without any call or notice I had the room manager enter our home on 3 separate occasions. These incidents unfortunately left my guests rather unsettled. I hope it is something that improves in the future.

Pros: excelent hotel and excelent breackfest.
Cons: They charged us more than the reservation in booking says. we tried to talk about it with the reception staff, and she said that she couldn't do anything about this. it really upset us.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The property is excellently located with easy access to all restaurants downstairs. Walking the street and experiencing the rich culture of the SA Navy was awesome. The hotel is well equipped with comfortable, modern rooms. Easy, short drive with stunning views down to Boulders Beach (with the penguin colony), and down to Cape Point. We truly enjoyed our stay. The staff go out of their way to assist. My wife forgot her wallet in the room. The hotel GM drove all the way to our house in Claremont to return it the next day.....now that is service!!!!
Cons: The DSTV bouquet was missing a few of my sports channels which were advertised in the Hotel info guide. Nothing major. I believe it was sorted on Monday.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The view was just amazing!
Cons: The room. Since I thought I would get the top one and not the one downstairs.
7,9 Good
Pros: Oceans view. No personal check in making it fast to arrive and leave when you want.
Cons: Bit cold (no heating elements besides a tiny radiator)
9,2 Excellent
Pros: every thing in the room
Cons: diffcult to drive in and out of the car park.
7,5 Good
Pros: The balcony with a view to the ocean was the reason we booked this property. It is close to the supermarket but you will need a car although the area felt safe. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was well equipped with a washing machine. We had a problem whilst at the property and the owner responded immediately and sent someone around early the next morning.
Cons: The kitchen facilities and equipment were basic and not suitable for preparing meals for more than two people. There are a number of steps up to the property which is, as the name suggests for our apartment (Sail Loft), and not suitable for elderly or children.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Albatross guest house was the perfect place to stay for our quiet and relaxing get away! The house is high up the side of a mountain overlooking the bay below and the views were absolutely stunning!! It is a little hard without a car to get around, but ubers will come fetch your from the accommodation. The owner Andre is extremely nice and helpful! And he makes a killer breakfast! If we ever find ourselves in Simon's Town again, this is where we would stay! It was the perfect get away!
Cons: Nothing, everything couldn't have been better!
7,5 Good
Pros: The appartment was spacious and comfortable. The view of the harbour was exactly as advertised and absolutely stunning. The room had everything you need and complimentary tea, coffee and milk in the fridge which was a nice touch. Really lovely.
Cons: The smell of moth balls or some kind of detergent was overpowering. The check in process was somewhat odd and rather unpleasant but the owner was not available that day so I'm hoping not everyone will experience that 1st impression.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nicely decorated apartment, very clean and comfortable, with stunning view of the bay. Highly recommend!
9,2 Excellent

Cons: The TV did not work. It’s a very old one but after a few attempts we decided it was better to enjoy each other and the view.

Pros: Great location. It's called Whale View Manor and it did not disappoint - whales right out front on both days. Definitely try the spa. I had one of the best massages I've have anywhere. Comfortable rooms and good breakfast.

Pros: Absolutely amazing host. Lovely property with a great lounge. We enjoyed drinks from the honesty bar. The hosts allowed us to keep our room after going to the beach for a shower. Nothing was too much trouble I would really recommend this place and a great breakfast too

Cons: Nothing...we didn't want to leave...
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting and interior, friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast
Cons: Nothing
6,3 Good
Pros: WARNING! BEWARE: I input 2 guests into booking.com search and booked/paid for a double room ( implies 2 guests!) on line. When I arrived the receptionist said something about the booking being only for 1 person, so I checked and saw it was a double room and thought nothing more of ut until I went to turn in the key at departure and was BILLED for “ a second person” which doubled the rate!!!! I showed her that I’d input 2 guests on booking.com, paid the total amount for a double room, and it wasted 40 min of prime vacation time trying to show her that inputting 2 guests in the site gave a final price for 2. She still insisted on “ giving me a deal of only $35 for the second guest!!! UNBELIEVABLE! I finally got tired of trying to talk sense into her, paid the extra 375 R “deal” and left FURIOUS!!! TOTAL SCAM!!!
Cons: BEING SCAMMED ON PRICE!!!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: location close to the Cape of good hope
Cons: nothing
6,7 Good
Pros: - The view is definitely the strong point of this place; - Nice decoration of the leaving room; - The dog :); - The fact that the owner and the manager had one or two small gestures to compensate some of the above. It is not a bad place but does not worth the price you pay. They could adjust the prices or offer more.
Cons: - Internet was not working on the first night - the day after was okay; - The door of the room could only be closed with key; - We had a broken plug in the room and the first night we were not able to charge our electronic equipments; - There is a bath tub in the bathroom and the shower option is incoveninent - there is a stair that does not allow you to stand straight while showering; - Small room; - Lack of privacy at the balcony in case room next door is occupied; - No ice or proper glasses for a drink were available at the bar - we had to look for someone to provide; - Charging extra for smothies or any changes on breakfast predefined menus - This is not a low cost hotel these should be free of charge; - Parking super narrow and difficult even for small cars. In general, no attention to details, it lacks the professionalism of a hotel and the warmth of a guest house. Not up to standard, superficially things look good but then they are not. The worst quality/price place we have stayed in South Africa.
6,7 Good
Pros: Hearing the waves crash outside our window throughout the night made for a peaceful stay. The gentlemen who served us seemed to care about our welfare and happiness.
7,0 Good
Pros: Highlights were Shark Cage Diving and Deep Sea Fishing
Cons: N/A
5,7 Okay
Pros: Jimmy and Jackson, the staff who greeted us were very freindly and welcoming. The hotel has immediate acess to a beach cove and we actually swum when it was safe. that is rare. Also - the Cape of Good Hope is a twenty minute drive. So we found that to be an advantage too. omethn rare in that part of the
Cons: The room facing the main road had not darkening shades, so you wake up with the sunrise (the room faces East). The bed was not comfortable and the proximity to the main road makes it inevitable noisy and early wake-up.
7,0 Good
Pros: The view from the rooms are so beautiful and the decor is really great. I also liked the staff's helpfulness.

Pros: Penguins.
Cons: Shower was weak.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location within walking distance of the penguin information centre and boardwalks . A minute away from the beach where the penguins usually make an appearance . Where else in the world can you swim with these beautiful birds in their natural habitat !!! Great room with a seaside feel Very friendly and helpful staff Fantastic food in the resteraunt
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is more then perfect! Penguins walk all over the places: the walk path, parking lot, etc. The staff is very friendly. Everything was great! The food is delicious! We've been a little bit afraid about the noise from the restaurant, but everything was fine! Relaxing and cozy atmosphere! On the first line from the ocean.
7,1 Good
Pros: Location for Boulders penguins is excellent.
Cons: The hotel does not have sea view rooms, despite the listing. They are apparently aware of the error on booking.com but haven't changed it. Also no real balconies- just the outdoor walkway joining the upstairs rooms. The room I was assigned smelt strongly of cigarette smoke but they moved me with no problems. Bathrooms are tired with stained shower curtains.
7,1 Good
Pros: we had power problem. that's the main issue.
Cons: one of the room's water pipe bursted very late at night, and there was nobody coming to help.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The place is simply charming! The rooms are comfortable with a mini- fridge, kettle and even a space heater! The location is perfect, so you get up close and personal with the penguins. The room includes breakfast which you pick off the menu. The food here was excellent: juicy burgers, a plate full of grilled prawns, killer fish n chips. The staff were more than helpful. They’re excited you’re there and go out of their way to make sure gusts are happy. Both Clinton and Kate were consummate hosts. Thank you for everything!
Cons: There’s not much I didn’t like, really. It rained throughout the night and water seeped in under the door, but this building is old which sorta added to the charm. It’s also a bit out of town, so there’s not a lot going on after hours. Service in the restaurant stops at 7pm
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived late, the manager kept the kitchen open for us and made us an amazing seafood pasta we were craving which wasn't on the menu. Breakfast was fantastic too and all included for our very reasonable price. The location is superb right across from the penguins, the place is cozy and clean and the manager went out of his way to make you welcome. I could not recommended this place more.
Cons: Nothing.....it was fantastic.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing right next to penguin beach, the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble and go out of their way to make your stay memorable.
Cons: The car park gets busy during the day
4,2 Okay
Cons: Poor service at restaurant and dirty tables throughout weekend that never gets cleaned. Food and accommodation is terrible for the amount being charged. Food was poor, no flavor, burnt, and dry and some still raw. Had a seaview room booked and paid for but didn't get a sea view room at all. Rooms had almost no facilities. No Aircon (dust on fan too), no TV. Shower was in bath tub with stains on shower curtain and bath tub. On arrival I wasn't given the necessary information as one should get when arriving (wifi password, information about area and service etc).
7,9 Good
Pros: Lovely breakfast with a view. Tidy rooms Friendly helpful staff and owners Close to penguins
