8,0 Excellent
Pros: On the waterfront.Really neat spot to stay if you are staying in La Ciotat. Friendly staff. Jacuzzi and steam room were working so after a rainy day and hiking afternoon the pleasure of jacuzzi was very welcoming.
Cons: I understood breakfast per person was 9 euros at the time of checking out it turns out it was 16 euros. Also, they charge for parking 12 euros. During low season there is no need for paying for parking space unless you don't mind it. I would have prefer to stay in Cassis but that's nothing to do with the hotel.

Pros: The staff were really helpful and the hotel has a great location.

Pros: Comfortable bed, good location. Spacious room.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Property had parking and was conveniently located to restaurants.
Cons: Narrow walkway to get to the port. However, on a plus, we could walk to the start of the Calanques hike from the hotel.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: great location, loved the view from the balcony! nice to have a parking spot so close to the beach. A short walk to the calanques and the city center.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff and rooms. Perfect location by the beach with a short walk to the port / town.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location to the beach opposite and to the main port. Parking at the hotel was a real bonus. Beautiful view from the room. We all really enjoyed our 2 night stay.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This quiet old-style hotel is ideally placed for access to Cassis centre and next to a small beach. We had a comfortable room with a little balcony overlooking the garden. The staff were exceptionally friendly and served a generous breakfast. We really loved it and will return
Cons: The gardens which give their name to the hotel and which are beautiful could do with a little TLC (tender loving care) and renovations around them to help with parking... but that is a minor point.
7,9 Good
Pros: Beautiful location and views, great to have spacious parking, quaint little building! The room with balcony was nice, uniquely decorated, well suited for a romantic get away. Wish we had more time to enjoy! It was a comfortable walking distance to down town and the hostess was lovely and helpful. It felt very private, intact we never saw another guest although it was apparently sold out! Spectacular views, definitely the highlight!
Cons: The interior stairs up to the room were dark and felt a bit abandoned. The bar next was very loud and smokey so sitting on the balcony wasn't so nice in the evening. Not staffed 24 hrs so was hard to get breakfast early and check out for our kayaking tour, but it was a lovely breakfast spread! Other than the hostess when we arrived and the woman who made the breakfast and checked us out we never saw anyone else. It was a little like arriving to stay at someone's house but no one is home! Probably if we had stayed two nights it might have been different.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A quirky hotel with loads of personality. The decor is vibrant and fun and our family room had a wonderful outdoor area with it that was an unexpected bonus and a wonderful place to sit in the evening. Great location right on the beach ( which is very busy most of the day!)
Cons: For the price, I feel breakfast should be included, but it was an extra €13 per person.
Clos Bb - Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer - Outdoor view
7
8,8 Excellent (104 reviews)
R1 738+
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Le Clos BB in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, you'll be near the beach and 6 minutes by car from Les Lecques Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice setting. Not far from the beach and vineyards.
Cons: Need to get in the car as shops, beach and restaurants are not in walking distance.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: The pool area is nice.
Cons: We found it very difficult to deal with the staff - as no one was in the reception (even during office hours), a phone number was left on the reception door (difficult for overseas guests to call), English was very limited, and we weren’t made to feel super welcome (e.g we weren’t even shown around the property) . Despite the hotel being advertised as air conditioned (and no mentions otherwise in the description of the room), the room didn’t have any - and the staff weren’t very sympathetic despite us raising this with them and it being a summer heatwave. We were also disappointed to see dirty dishes and towels in our room, and that our room wasn’t cleaned at all while we stayed. The room also didn’t haven’t any shampoo/conditioner and the WiFi couldn’t reach our room. All in all, unfortunately disappointing, especially for the price paid.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Convenient if you ever have to go to the Paul Ricard Race Circuit, some 14 kms away. Great if you wish to have a hint of Provence without breaking the bank. Located in the middle of the vineyards of Provence the little Clos B&B is lovely. You really get a taste of life in Provence. The breakfast is good, so are the room and bathroom. Every room is different but the concept is healthy. Some nice perks such as Provençal soaps. The owner Angela and her managers David and Sandrine are wonderful, very helpful, charming. Angela and her husband Bernard own another hotel with a lovely and very good Provençal restaurant in nearby St. Cyr sur Mer which is worth a try.
Cons: The Clos B&B is a work in progress and therefore the future is bound to be better than today, which it is already delightful. Not luxurious, yet well appointed, elegant and frugal. What there is not to like in Provence?
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Nice place, at the border of the city, vineyards all around. Nice pool in the garden, nice stuff (even though they spoked very limited english), A/C worked well in appartment, well equipped kitchen. Nice Appartment, typical provence style with a colourful modern touch (for example in the bathroom)
Cons: Mosquitos, tough to sit in the terrace or beautiful garden and enjoy wine...:-( Bamboo shades over the terrace deserves to be changed, too old, full of dirty bits or something what fell on the table all the time.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice outdoor area by the pool, good breakfast, nice people, easy to communicate with
Cons: The interior design of the rooms needs getting used to, the water in the pool was quite warm

6,3 Good
Pros: Very central location, almost next to the seaside (only the road separates the hotel from the sea)

Pros: Staff, location and parking all excellent. The 'guard dog' was very friendly and good natured. The food was fine with substantial breakfast buffet and choice of 2 restauarants dependng on your mood and appetite.
Cons: The bed was a little too short for me (I'm 6 foot 2 inches). Balcony looked out onto the Med but every time we opened the doors we smelt the smoke from the adjoining wood fired pizzeria.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Excellent location for people who want to go to Paul Ricard Test Track
Cons: Not working VISA machine.
4,8 Okay
Pros: Its location is very good to access the beach. This hotel has no lift to upper floors but the young boy, maybe the son of the master of this hotel, will carry liggage. So I think this hotel is very familiar and honesty.

Pros: Always good. Friendly staff. Great breakfast.

Pros: Everything!
Cons: Some painting scratches on the wall
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really helpful and the hotel has a great location.

Pros: Comfortable bed, good location. Spacious room.
Cons: Even with the do not disturb sign on the door the house keeper knocked persistently multiple times, waking us, even opening the door before we could get up. Respect the signs.

Pros: History of the town is inside the building
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is in the heart of La Ciotat. There is a parking lot very close the hotel if you are lucky you could find a spot for free. Room was huge and you could live in French architecture. It was very clean. We enjoyed fresh croissants, jams and homemade yoghurt at the breakfast. I totally recommend!
Cons: Check-in time should be a little early :)
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The Rayon Vert is in the heart of La Ciotat. The house is quirky and stylish, the bedroom was cosy and comfortable and the host was very friendly and helpful.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our stay in this charming French home in the heart of La Ciotat. A very comfortable room with a good shower and a delicious breakfast with the best ever home made fig jam. Valerie was the perfect host, charming and welcoming and happy to share her knowledge and love of the area.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: For visiting the boat yard (MB92) at La Ciotat the location was excellent. Many small bars and restaurants near by. WiFi was excellent as was the Continental breakfast each morning. Use of fridge in the breakfast area was also welcome. Great shower and comfy bed. Once the on-going work on the frontage (pavement and road renewal) the location will be even more excellent. A very nice stay all told and would certainly stay again next time I am in the area.
Cons: Could do with perhaps a more comfier chair by the desk in the room if one is looking to work in the room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice host and good service. We agreed for a bit earlier check in after the night flight. Cozy terrace where you can eat and spend time
Cons: A bit noisy but it was not a big issue
5,0 Okay
Pros: It has a good location.
Cons: The listing says the hotel has parking, and it also says there is free parking nearby. There are a handful of free spots in a lot a few blocks away, but during summer months there is little chance you will find one. The staff was not warm, friendly or service-minded in any way. It’s a bit cave-like, very hot, lots of mosquitoes, no air conditioning.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Host , Valerie was very helpful and charming. She went out of her way to show us nearby parking . Valerie also helped us plan our next stop on way to Lyon. Bedroom we stayed in was very large , spotless and lovely bathroom Would definitely stay at Le Rayon Vert again .

Pros: Perfect location, nice stuff, clean room, AC worked well, comfy bed, good parking for 5€
Cons: Older hotel and rooms but no problem, thin walls - you hear everything
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location is great at 150 metres from the sand.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Location of the hotel
Cons: Room 6 is on the ground floor. The bar is nearly directly connected to the hallway and about 3 meters away from the room door. Bar was loud but ended at a decent hour (22-23h) on a Tuesday evening. The personnel stayed till about 0h45 talking extremely loud and washing the dishes (?) as pots and glasses etc were making a lot of sounds to the point where sleeping was impossible. They left at that point and we could sleep. Unfortunately around 6h45 we were woken up again by the sound of the personnel preparing breakfast (?). Never accept room 6!
7,5 Good
Pros: Location is right on the water and parking is secured.
Cons: The location has a party rock almost eastern European club vibe.
