Cons: Maid tried to get in our room to clean at 8 or 8:15 two mornings of our stay. We were sleeping in and this seemed a bit early. Cleaning staff were also talking loudly outside our room.

Cons: Since the lodging is in downtown Santa Fe the view of room 302 was of buildings and the street. I asked for a quiet room and I believe I ended up with the noisiest room but that was during the day. There was a stop sign right on the street corner and it never failed that people would want to rev up their motors. This had nothing to do with the accommodations but location. After about 9 pm the noise stopped. When booking I asked if this room was quiet and my answer was it’s quiet here. That’s the only negative thing I can say.

Cons: Some of the service was less than desirable. We were shuttled to Canyon Rd on Xmas Eve by the hotel shuttle and we were told to call the hotel when we were ready to be picked up. There were barricades and it was not lit well where we were taken initially. We were told to walk back to that area to be picked up by the shuttle. We called the hotel 10 times over a 20-minute time frame and no one answered. It was snowing and raining so we started walking looking for crossroads where we could summon a Lyft for a ride back to the hotel. As we were walking, I fell on slush and landed on my elbow...I went to ER the next morning. I have a torn rotator cuff.. It’s going to be a very painful and expensive vacation!

Cons: Definitely not a 4 star hotel - No refrigerator that you can use( filled with all their stuff trying to get you to purchase- No coffee maker in the room- No blackout curtains only wooden shades( when the sun rises you have to get up). Not to mention if your room faces the parking lot you will get headlights in your room. Microwave missing a leg so it’s off balance. No trash cans inside the entire facility! Residents were hiding filled trash bags in laundry rooms - I saw food bags in stairwells. The craziest part is it was over $500 a night- Honestly the room was absolutely horrible and over priced

Pros: The private walled patio was the perfect spot for my dog to go off leash for a little while. They did add a pet fee to my total bill, they said, which I think should have been disclosed on the page where I made reservations. That said, if the fee had been shown up front, I would still have booked this lodging.

Cons: The front desk checked in was pretty bad. I arrived after 4 pm. After a long queue, I got assigned a room number on 3rd floor but she (Eister)said it is not ready and asked me to come back later. After 50mins I still waited another long queue but my room has been changed to 2nd floor. I felt pretty bad as a feeling of downgrade. And her explanation even more annoyed. If the room is not originally I asked for why she can not get me the right room in first place and keep me waiting the queue twice? Will never visit this Heritage hotel again.

Cons: My room had a heating system that was not working. After staying the night in a VERY cold room, I asked if they could look at it for me. They later informed me that it couldn't be fixed. They offered to move me to another room. I repacked my bags and hours later went to my new room, the key didn't work. Back to the front desk. New keys, they worked, however my bag was not in my room. Back to the front desk. At that point, they apologized, said they would not charge me for the previous nights stay. Well....I just received my bill recap, and I did get charged!! So I called La Posada, was told since I booked thru booking.com, they could not change the charges...even though they added our lunch bill to the cost.!!!!

Pros: The breakfast was surprisingly upscale for a small motel. The breakfast attendant did an awesome job keeping the breakfast buffet area clean and well stocked. We were giving a complementary drink coupon for the restaurant/lounge which was small and quaint. The food from the restaurant/lounge was excellent. We ordered the wings and chili queso dip which was fantastic. The staff all around were friendly and helpful. The décor was updated and clean.

Cons: My girlfriend and I went for breakfast at a busy time (9 AM), and the staff was re-filling the buffet items, so she had her food and I had to wait. It was quite crowded and our table could have been wiped.

Cons: There was no hot water to shower. I did not get the room I paid for. The hidden fees that individuals with disabilities would not not have seen since the screen reader does not pick up on the hidden fees. So, beware if your visually impaired.

Cons: The first room we were assigned, the toilet was running. The second had little sugar ants in the bathroom and on the credenza. I didn't understand why there was basically a tablet by the TV? We laid it face down on the credenza in fear that someone was watching us through the camera...

Cons: The person in the room above me (along with a very large dog) made so much noise during the night that i couldn't sleep. It was footsteps and dog noises. Pacing footsteps woke me at 11:30 pm and again at 2:30 am. Then at 4:00 am when the stomping/pacing of the person and the click-click of dog feet above me woke me for the third time I gave up and got out of bed. Awkward entrance to the place made coming and going a hazard. Hard-slamming doors and hardwood floors robbed me of a good night's sleep - the NUMBER ONE thing i want from a hotel.
