New Mexico and the Santa Fe area have several beautiful beaches. If you plan to stroll along the beach, you should consider renting a convertible or Jeep to add to your fun. However, if you are planning a visit to Santa Fe National Forest or will be driving on some of Santa Fe’s back roads, you might consider renting a sport utility vehicle. Otherwise, any car will do for your visit.
Santa Fe is well developed with many highways to help locals and visitors to get around town. If you are on the interstate, you’ll be able to drive at speeds of up to 75 mph. If you are on the local expressway, however, the speed limit will drop to 55 mph.
Parking shouldn’t be a problem in downtown Santa Fe. You’ll find parking available on streets for a small fee. These same spots offer free parking after 6 p.m. and all day on Sundays. There are also plenty of paid parking lots and garages in the area, including the garage at Canyon Road, Water Street, and the Santa Fe Community Convention Center.

Pros:We were able to keep the car longer for a reasonable price. Thank you.
Cons:The ability to pick up the car. Our flight was delayed & there was not an effort made for us to be able to pick up the car before closing at the extraordinary time of 5pm. In the end, we had an extra $30 in Lyft fees to get the car at the airport the next day. Not a great way to start this rental.
Pros:nobody knew how to cancel reservation. Hertz sent me to priceline; priceline sent me to hertz
Cons:staff knowing how to handle a reservation
Pros:Never saw them
Cons:They could have had a car that I reserved.
Cons:HERTZ DID NOW TELL US THAT WE NEEDED TO DROP OFF THE VEHICLE IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION THEN WHERE WE PICKED IT UP AND SUBSEQUENTLY CHANGE US AN ADDITIONAL FEE, WHICH WE NOW NEED TO BE TAKE OFF THE BILL . OTHER THAN THAT , A GOOD EXPERIENCE.
Cons:To-do car in okay condition. Very expensive and that's without all the extra insurance they push. They really try to scare you into it.

Pros:Car was ready on time. Pickup was easy.
Pros:The worst pressure up-selling of my life. This could easily be worth 300 to 400 dollars added to the price. Avis is pretty greedy.
Cons:Up front details about up-selling. I doubt I'll rent from Avis again. Costs can quadruple.
Cons:The car we were given was extremely uncomfortable for a short person to drive and drop off via the drop box not very user friendly (no writing utensils available and we didn’t have any with us on vacation)
Cons:Actually getting the rental car. They had no convertible to actually rent
Pros:Staff was great
Cons:Not much could have been better! Excellent rental experience.
Pros:staff was super helpful and reassuring
Cons:I wasn't aware there was an additional deposit fee for the rental -- if there was information or details about this it wasn't noted or highlighted enough to inform my decision/commitment of renting from here
Pros:Fast service; friendly, efficient staff
Cons:Great experience - they did everything right.
Pros:The staff was very nice, gave me some clorox wipes to clean up the car (even though it was already very clean, it was just to be sure). Enterprise is also waiving the normal fee to drop the car in a different location, which was incredibly helpful.
Cons:It was great, no problems.
Pros:Well staffed office knows you are there to get your car and scoot. Manager even introduced himself...very professional. With the great Kayak deal it was a win-win.
Pros:Quick and easy, very freindly

Pros:We got to the Santa Fe airport at 5:25 pm local time. When we called about picking up our car, we were told the office had closed at 5 pm and we could not get the car. So we had to rent a car from someone else.
Cons:How about staying open during reasonable business hours? Closing at 5 pm for an airport rental car service? Are you serious? But if you can't be open during reasonable business hours, how about advising us in advance what the closing time is? Overall, have to give you guys a POOR rating.
Pros:The car was good.
Cons:They overcharged me. They said the cost was $571 and then charged me for an extra day for no reason.
Pros:The guy we picked up from
Cons:The guy we dropped off to
Pros:The location and staff were great!
Cons:It all was great!
Pros:Helpful staff Car ran well except cruise control
Cons:Cruise control did not work Selected car was not available; had to pay more for upgrade
Pros:OK - not an upscale place, but ok.
