The hotel's location is directly on a loop of the riverwalk which is good because it puts you right into the attraction, but is not on the main section so it's much quieter and easier to find a dining place. Parking is available across the street from the hotel and the street itself is not as busy as those nearer the Alamo.

Pros: Made a special stop at the river walk on our five day trek from Pittsburgh to puerto Vallarta Mexico. Stopped to enjoy the beautiful view and exeperience the river walk. The resort was absolutely gorgeous. Unique with design, very friendly conceierge, and beautiful room layout.

Cons: Parking at the hotel is a ridiculous $36/night and they charged for two parking spots for our two motorcycles even though we actually had both bikes consolidated out of the way in the valet area not even in the parking garage. That was irritating.
The hotel staff were polite but very cold and decidedly unfriendly. Don't believe I did anything to be offensive or difficult - I didn't even argue about the parking issue - but all of the desk staff (two in the evening, one in the morning) gave the impression they had much better things to do than speak with me.

Cons: Our one and only critique, and rather silly at that, after pulling in with our vehicle and stopping at the front valet, the attendant seemed almost shocked when we said, yes we would like you to park the car, and replied with an almost doubtful "are you sure? Wouldn't you like to hear the prices?" Though I'm sure he was just trying to do his job and avoid later frustration, the tone in which he asked us the question was borderline offensive. Young man if we can afford to stay where we are staying we certainly assure you we can afford to park.

Cons: The heater was very loud and cut on and off all night. The valet parking was much too pricey, we parked across the street in the well lit city parking lot. The toilet in the bathroom Was a public toilet. Changed rooms for ? Bed bugs.

Cons: Room service left alot to desire of. When they did come they only did 1 or 2 things. Had to constantly as for more towels. They used not fitted king sheets on queen beds. The blankets were extremely nice though but I do not like the sheets.

Cons: Carpet on our hotel floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in days. Food crumbs/debris littered about from getting off the elevator and throughout our floor lobby and outside our hotel room door. I mentioned it to one of the staff, but it was still there the next morning when we checked out. And the only other compliant was waiting forever for valet to bring the car around. Took around 40 minutes but it was very busy during out stay.

Pros: I went to the lobby to work on my laptop. A man asked where the front attendant was. He had been waiting there 20 minutes waiting to check in. He continued to wait, while I was working, for another 20 minutes. No one. I tried to help him by looking around. No one. Called hotel number and pager number on card in lobby. Nothing. I found the BW customer service number for him and he called. He explained he has been waiting for 60 minutes now (I also got on to verify because they didn't seem to believe him). They opened a "case" and said they couldn't reach the manager or anyone there.
After an 90 minutes, two young ladies come from the hotel and instead of apologizing, they gave him a hard time (because he was obviously upset). Unbelievable.
The next day I asked the front desk if the manager (who wasn't there) could give me a call. Nothing.
I fear for the customers who stay here. Some of the employees have zero respect for their customers, for their management, or the reputation of BW. That individual deserved better.

Cons: Let's list all the reasons to not stay here, shall we? 1. Found a cockroach in the bathroom. 2. Ridiculously overpriced, because (according to them) they're on the Riverwalk. This craphole is NOT on the Riverwalk. 3. The staff is not only incredibly rude, but also dishonest. 4. The morons who park cars here are apparently a third-party company; they're also rude. 5. They want to charge $30/day for valet parking (their only option, which they fail to mention anywhere on their website), but we found a place one block away that was not only safe, cheaper as well. 6. The decor is reminiscent of a cheap motel straight out of the 1980s. 7. Their televisions are garbage, and getting the remote control to do what we wanted was a crapshoot at best. 8. They're stingy with the blankets, and you shouldn't expect to get any more. 9. The elevators "kinda sorta" work sometimes, and always completely random. I was actually surprised we didn't get stuck in one.

Cons: The pool was nice, but there were never towels outside and we had to go to the lobby to ask for towels both times we used the pool, and then wait for someone to come bring them, which took about 15 minutes each time. Also, unfortunately for a day and a half of our stay, one of the two elevators was out of service which complicated things a little bit. We had a late afternoon flight but were denied late checkout because when we called at 8:30am to ask, they “weren’t allowing any more late checkouts”.

One side had an uncomfortable indentation about 2-inches deep which made sleeping in the middle of the bed impossible because I kept rolling to the low side where the mattress was lumpy and broken down. I woke with back pain each morning. However, my traveling companion did not have an uneven mattress and slept like a baby!

Told a night manager would be in to work later. When I did come back to the front desk I was referred to food and beverage manager. He and a night clerk took care of my complaint- great recovery from those folks.

Cons: We were not able to check into our room until 6pm. Missed our dinner reservations. Keys wouldn't work on the door. They had to change out the whole lock system. The phone inside the room didn't work. WiFi had no connection. Terrible experience.

Pros: The first room that I was checked into did not have a working door. The next room had a working door but would close all the way and I had to double check the door was closed properly. The only thing which I needed was a safe in the room, no rooms do.

Pros: It was a nice and clean hotel. The staff was also very friendly. During the stay we had a very good time.
Cons: Checking in was a bit of a hassle. It was advertised that the rooms would be available at 3 PM. I called this location to confirm and they repeated it would be ready at 3:00 PM. We get to the hotel and ask to check in but were told it would be longer. By around 5:30 PM I called and the rooms were still not ready. I finally get a call that they were ready at around 6:30 PM. The staff addressed our concerns once we arrived and we came to an adequate resolution.

Pros: The breakfast was very good, but a little expensive. I recommend getting it added into the room as a free breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed and towels were clean.
Cons: The hot water would take 15 minutes to reach hotel room. Even then it was never hot. The shower head cap was missing, so you could not adjust the direction or stream of water. The walls all throughout the building looked like a run down frat house, all beat up. The hallways were dirty with left over dishes outside of rooms. The TV channels were not all HD, some did not come into reception, and the guide chart in the room did not match what was on the TV. Small TV for the size of the room. The room HVAC never cooled the room. The thermostat said 61 degrees, but the room was in the 70s. Internet was slow and disconnected constantly.

I didn't like to see that the management offers no help. Eileen was seating, waiting, getting drinks, busing tables & checking customers out. There was approximately 20 tables all full & more guests arriving. Management was in & out of the area but, not once did anyone offer a helping hand to their teammate. If it wasn't for the paying guests they wouldn't have a job. Also, Charlie the bar tender gets a hand...his customer service was outstanding as well. Friendly, polite & quick service! These 2 definitely deserve a raise!!

Cons: Update in bathrooms. Commode was too close to wall. Sink had cracks, yet did not leak. There was a mildew problem around grouting in bathroom. The room was very spacious and comfortable with exception of too light of covers. Our unit was not heating.

Cons: Maid left room unsecured all day by putting the latch to hold door open, when I got back to room at 5:30 it was still open. It was closed when I left. Self parking was closed for two days, when had a Red Cross convention and the start of the Rodeo.

Cons: We were there to watch granddaughter for Stockshow. Upon arrival valet attendant on his cell phone with a friend. He never acknowledged our arrival. I got out got cart for our luggage, my husband and & I loaded our luggage onto cart. Not once being acknowledged by attendant. Finally, my husband approached him about parking our truck. We were in our Ford dually. Attendant looked up from his cell phone long enough to tell my husband that we had to self park because they dont park large vehicles. I went to check in told front desk about our experience. We got I'm sorry. Brenda valet manager was there to hear of our unpleasant encounter but, said nor did anything she retreated into office. We were told we were being charged 29.99 for valet parking. I let the gentleman checking us in know that we weren't able to use valet do to the fact we had an oversize vehicle, that we were self park. He said it didn't matter we still get charged valet parking rate. I definitely spoke up & let them know that after their poor Customer service greeting & overcharge for parking that we would not be staying with them in the future. In addition, the rooms are only equipped with a electric Mitsubishi fan type heat & cooling unit. These units are older & dont work well cooling nor heating they need updating. The pillows are so worn out that they condensed them down a half size pillow. New pillows are definitely badly needed.
