What a neat hotel, a renovated space from 1909 full of character. It’s literally across the street from the Alamo and minutes from the River Walk.
The hotel is in an iconic building in the centre of town, across the street from the Alamo, and very close to the riverwalk, shops and restaurants. Our room size was good but not large, however, it was very comfortable. The public areas were a delight. Buffet breakfast was very good with lots of choice and items replenished frequently. To add to the delight, the bar serves $4 beer and wine, both good selections. An outstanding stay
Location and breakfast were good.
Smoke smell even though room was a smoke free room, not enough value for the money, parking is not included. People were nice but there is only so much they can do on their end.
Room was immaculate. Breakfast buffet amazing with the common offerings but also fresh fruit. Happy hour with wine and beer from Texas. Wooden floors in our king room. Unique atmosphere given this was built as an office building (be sure to check the vaults on each floor). Walk across the street to Alamo and a couple blocks to Riverwalk. I want to move in!!!
That we cannot stay longer!!!
Location and Historic building kitty-corner to the Alamo
Bathroom lacked alcove or shelf in shower for soap, shampoo
