We liked the friendliness of the staff, the great location, ( we could see the Alamo out of our window) the comfy beds, the great shower and nice bathroom , and the excellent breakfast- we would definitely stay here again!
My husband had a bad allergic reaction after we went to bed and he thinks it might be from the pillow he was sleeping on. He had to take a shower and put a clean towel over the pillow and was fine when he woke up
Very friendly, attentive, and helpful staff. Cool, new decor in historic old hotel. Lots of free food: happy hour snacks and breakfast taco bar. In view of the Alamo and other historic buildings. Great location.
I really enjoyed my stay at this Hotel.....The king suites are fantastic historic rooms, spacious, with large beautiful windows, and an amazing view of the Alamo and downtown action below. Also, an over the top free breakfast every morning, with delightful, helpful staff preparing. Anything I needed for my room was taken care of quickly. Additionally, the manager was always attentive, and genuinely concerned that the guests enjoyed their stay, were comfortable, and well taken care of. I will definitely return.
It was close to everything needed to get to very clean and also a little creepy but in a good way.
The air conditioning was loud when it kicked on
The breakfast was amazing along with the location.
American history is no stranger to San Antonio, “the home of the Alamo.” The Hotel Gibbs was built on the principle of preserving history. The building was San Antonio’s first high-rise office building in 1909 and has just recently been expertly transformed into an elegant hotel.
Hotel Gibbs prides itself in its amenities. Each room provides guests with complimentary coffee, free high-speed WiFi, air conditioning, tall ceilings, and luxurious bathrooms. Hotel amenities include a fitness center, sauna, business center with internet access, and a top-notch multilingual staff.

The great sightseeing near Hotel Gibbs makes hosting professional events in San Antonio very convenient. While the professionals are participating in meetings in the event spaces at the Hotel Gibbs or the nearby Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, the rest of the family can enjoy the many attractions. Kids will especially enjoy the Rainforest Café.
